These guys are great — super friendly no matter how early it is, good strong coffee and a solid breakfast bagel. What else do you need?

Helping prove that San Francisco is the king of small local coffee shops with great drink and food choices! Tried the Hayes valley sandwich and it was well worth the easy-on-the-wallet price. Good choices and combos with coffee! Facility was tidy and clean, and the location itself was easy to find from the walk

Another 5-star review for CUP. it’s really passé at this point. An adorable lady owns the place now(previous owners daughter) and runs it great. Today they were playing doo-wop and Motown hits(~Love Potion Number Niiiiiine~) which put me in a fabulous mood(as did the cream cheese bagel). The owner brought the chilled milk for my coffee right to my table and I felt more spoiled than 3 week old avacodos(but of course the one on my bagel was thoroughly fresh :) My only gripe is the place closes early now(2pm instead of 5pm). But then again, I’m just not a morning person and I doubt their business is booming after that. So I just come here every time I can when it’s open. This place is the best coffee shop gem in Glen Park by far!

Five big huge shining stars These people are the sweetest EVER. Not only do they make the best coffee, but the owner gave us luck money in honor of Baz, who is seven weeks old now. That’s not just good customer service. That’s humanity and heart.

Came in for a coffee and then came back for sandwiches with the kids. Salami sandwich was really good. Atmosphere is great. Owners are the nicest people. It’s nice walking in to a new place and how everyone knows each other. Great place to relax and eat or drink your coffee. They have wifi too!!? Coming back real soon.

Cute family run coffee shop that always greets you with a smile! Been there a few times for the lattes, iced mochas & bagel sandwiches & everything was delicious. If you’re not familiar with the area, it may be hard to find. If you’re lucky, you can snag the 10(I think?) minute parking spot right in front to grab something quick. Can’t wait to try more items on their menu!

Almost Italian Quality Coffee that weaks you up like Crazy! I was new to the area, really sleepy and wondering on Monterey Blvd for some good quality coffee. Did not know about any of the reviews. The invitation to come in was more than obvious. So, I discovered a family driven coffee Bistro, with very good Espressos, yummy sandwiches and a cozy, happy atmosphere. The owners are very sweet and professional. I like that you can choose some delicious sandwiches and see how they are done. WI-FI works great and the Radio Stream was awesome, I even Shazamed some songs. All in all, I totally recommend this place! It does not matter if you are in the area or not, if you want an excellent coffee, accompanied by a delicious sandwich plus a creative, happy atmosphere… just go there and try it! I would put my money on your experience, this is how excited I became after my fisrt 4 – 5 coffees :)

Seriously good place with amazing owners, fantastic coffee and delicious food. Stop it right now! It’s hard to find good coffee in SF in my opinion, which I know makes me an outcast, but this place rocks the caffeine and then comes back for more with a protein power smoothie that put me over the top. And then there’s top speed wifi? I can’t.

Family owned place and they are so kind and genuine. Definitely one of the better lattes in the city. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious.

Great coffee with truly incredible service. It’s a great stop for the family(the owners are great with kids), for a quick coffee drink, or to work for a while. Very comfortable. The staff go out of their way to make sure you have what you need.

Yesterday I had an almond croissant and a hot chocolate, and today I had the embarcadero sandwich. Both highly exceeded expectations. Not only was the food good, but the staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve met. Plus the wifi is fast and the prices are great.

Great baked goods and coffee and the smiling face of the owner will immediately make your day better! This is the opinion of me and my 10 year old(who asked me to write this) so all ages agree of cup’s charm and friendly aura.

An excellent place to take a break near the Glen Park Bart. They use Mr Espresso, so it’s good and consistent coffee. The sandwiches are made with quality ingredients, taste good, are filling and reasonable priced… what more could you ask for. The family that owns and runs the café are very sweet and always take great care of us.

I really like this place because it is around the corner from BART so a little hidden and the owner is the nicest man ever. It really improved my day to see his smiling face. I went to throw my things away and hand him the tray and he said he wanted to take it and I should relax. I still ended up doing it because he works hard too, but I liked the gesture. There are quite a few seats and a comfy couch inside. I was there near closing and there was not even a glance to suggest they couldn’t wait for me to leave. I ordered a sandwich and it was huge and tasty. The ingredients were really fresh and they didn’t skimp on the avocado. I also had a fresh mango juice that was both fresh and mango for I believe $ 2.75. I thought the prices were reasonable for SF.

Love this place! There’s about 5 other coffee shops in the area but the Cup is in a perfect location for those in the neighborhood. Close to Bart. The couple who runs the coffee shop are really sweet. I no longer live in the Glen park area but I really do miss it. I always ordered an iced coffee and they would allow me to pour my own soy milk. They close in the afternoon so about an hour before they close they sell the pastries for a $ 1 or sometimes just give them away. Can’t wait to find myself in the area again. The coffee is pretty good and the service is great. I know you can get a premium cup of coffee anywhere else in SF but the service is what I remember the most.

Cup is without a doubt, my favorite coffee spot in the San Francisco Bay Area. In the fast paced life of SF, this little gem is a great place to unwind, enjoy a nice view, and if the weather permits, sitting outside and enjoying a coffee(or my personal favorite, the Havana) is a great way to start any day. The family that runs the shop is beyond amazing, they always have a great attitude and have a knack for making everyone who comes in, leave happy with a smile on their face. Cup is also a great place to stop in for a bite to eat. They offer a variety of salads, sandwiches, bagels and breakfast pastries(my favorites are the cucumber and cream cheese bagel, and the low fat peach berry scone). The only downfall of my experience there is that the beautiful girl who works there won’t let me take her out on a date! I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s asked her out though!

Stumbled upon this place during my last visit to SF and absolutely loved this little hidden gem! The owner and his wife were so welcoming and made you feel as if you were family. Coffee was amazing and prices were so reasonable. Wish this place was in LA!

Giving a review so this place is not stuck at «69» reviews(kekeke) BUt seriously, could this coffee shop be any cuter? You walk in and immediately are greeted with a smile, and it will stay until you leave the café. I had a caffe au lait, which provided me with a perfect amount of caffeine for a Monday morning… In addition to all the cheeriness! I will definitely be a regular. Thanks Cup!

I never write reviews on Unilocal pages, I am usually a voyeur only. But the owners have compelled me to commend their service and café. When I drive into the city(my usual commute is BART) I ALWAYS stop here… Even making an illegal U-Turn to do so. The owners make an effort to treat every customer as if they’re regulars, and always with a huge smile on their face. The coffee is great, the fruit is fresh, and the bagel sammies are delicious. I wish I could award more stars.
