I found everything I was looking for despite the size of this store. I needed to get a birthday card for my sister, nail clippers, and water, and I got all of them. I was able to get a set of nail clippers for fingernails as well as toenails, and a tweezer was also included. This mini Walgreens had quite the health and beauty supply department – everything from shampoos to nail polish to allergy medicine. I imagine it’s very convenient for tourists and locals alike. This store is on the corner of the food court near the elevators and escalators. It’s where Out the Door used to be. You can use Apple Pay to pay for your purchases if you have the latest iPhone. And if you’re a Matcha Kit Kat fan like me, there are packages of them by the register.

Not content to cover City and Suburban corners with chain drug store chains, Walgreen’s has recently branched out and put a small outpost on the restaurant level of the Westfield Center(near the BART/Muni entrance). I was drawn in by the nicely appointed«grab and go» refrigerated snack selections, which may or may not have found its way on BART for the ride home. This place is basically here for the convenience of tourists, shoppers, and business people, who need a few things in the shortest possible time frame, and featuring a relatively inviting option. This Walgreen’s does that well, and despite my aversion for their«take over any neighborhood» approach.
