Sometimes when I drive into downtown SF using 280, that UCSF building, loss of the view of the park from the freeway, and the imbalance of the skyline: Infinity tower #1 and the thought of #2 make me squeamish. The wonder and familiarity of driving into the city is withering and new seeds of development will eventually grow, but in the meantime…
I glance to the non-​downtown view on my left (northbound), and there it is, a hanging garden named for a fallen SF Police officer who was killed in a motorcycle accident near the site. Its by no means Babylon, but I appreciate it for its eye-​candy presence and the attempt to creatively green our highways.
P. S. I am a safe driver. This observance was made during stop and go rush hour traffic. Please drive carefully and safely.
