Cloud Nine Skin and Body Care

This review is LONG overdue! I have been lucky enough to see Roxanne for over two years. She transformed my skin long ago but I keep going back for maintenance, additional needs, and because she’s an awesome person to spend time with.
When I first walked in I had severe acne and small bumps all over my face. She immediately knew the culprit and within a few days my skin improved significantly. Once I had a routine with her products my skin went from blah to glowing. I had used every expensive product (including La Mer) and nothing worked. Roxanne’s products are extremely reasonable and they work for all skin types, including my super sensitive skin. She has skillful hands and knowledge like no other aestheticians I have seen. I will never get a facial anywhere else! Thanks Roxanne!

Roxanne is amazing! She is very well educated in the art and science of skincare and has a fantastic table-​side manner. Having previously been an esthetician, I know quite a bit about skin and skincare and I must say Roxanne is a true professional. I initially chose her due to the fact that she uses and sells Babor skincare and then saw her stellar Unilocal ratings. I decided to have a glycolic facial to address my aging skin. I was nervous though as I have very sensitive skin. At the start of my facial she said I have dry, dehydrated and very sensitive skin. All true though we had not discussed this prior to meeting. She was able to assess my skin that quickly, we are off to a great start. I had a bit of a headache when I arrived but after my facial and head massage, it was much relieved. She asked questions when appropriate and was quiet during the rest. The glycolic treatment was remarkably uneventful, no burning during or after unlike a number of other prior experiences. My skin looked so smooth and calm. She made a few product recommendations, no insistent or strong arm tactics and educated me about a peel I have been using that is not going to address the issues I was intending (thus saving me quite a bit of money). I am definitely going back on a regular basis.

OK. I have been seeing Roxanne for a year now and I just want to share that the condition of my skin has changed considerably. When I first started going, I was suffering from nightmare skin issues. Now, I am clear and my skin seems healthier than it ever was before. I highly recommend this experience for anyone who is just looking for a very high quality facial or if you’re struggling with skin issues. When looking at a time frame like this, it is easy to really see the results and mine are very positive.

There is nothing I appreciate more than honesty (and skill, obviously) from a skin care professional.
I went to Roxanne about a month before my wedding in a panic because my back had been taking a beating over the years: sunburns, allergies, and bug bites from tropical vacations left my skin with some dark marks here and there, and since my dress was strapless, I wanted to make sure it looked in tip-​top shape.
I told Roxanne that I would be willing to go to her for as many back facials as she thought necessary to get my back evenly toned again. She took one look at it, said I just needed a good exfoliating, did a glycolic peel (ouch!), and sent me on my way. And that was all I needed: one back facial and I was good to go, whereas others may have told me I needed way more treatments than actually necessary.
And seriously, my skin was absolutely glowing after that one treatment; the reason I know it’s not just some placebo effect or whatever was because I saw shards of skin that she’d sloughed off (sorry for being so sexy here).

I knew I had found the best skincare expert when I met Roxanne. I have tried many facial spas and to my dismay none were able to treat my dark spots. I am so happy to see the improvements with the disappearing of the dark spots and also noticed a healthy glow since getting my facials. I am lucky to have found Roxanne who knows exactly what’s needed to treat and care for my face. What would I do without you, Roxanne!

I am so happy to have found this place! Having moved a lot, it’s hard to find an excellent place for skin care. I rate this place 5 stars because it has been a wonderful experience. Roxanne is exceptional! I found her through Unilocal since she uses a really good product, Babor. She knows this product line and is able to recommend what will be helpful to you. I have gone twice to see her and have booked appointments once a month since she has made my skin feel amazing. I always feel so relaxed and refreshed after I see her. I’m so happy to have found Roxanne!!! I highly recommend her!

Roxanne is simply a dazzling angel sent from the heavens, like a disciple of Aphrodite, delivering us from the evils of bad skin care. Girl’s got a way with skin — let me tell you. I came in pretty ratchet. One year later, I’m a beaming glow of skin care amazement. I’ve practically reduced my shrink bills because I have so much more confidence in myself.
Yes I kid, but it’s mostly true. I decided over a year ago to comprehensively invest in a good skin care professional, and I’ll tell you, Roxanne is worth every damn penny. After 4 years of bad skin (olive complexion, perpetually athletic, part-​time drag queen), I’m a prime example of what good choices in life surmounts to. I took her recommendations seriously, used the products she promoted, and discretely took the time to take care of my skin. And voilá, I no longer have to rely on flash photography to systematically blow out acne blemishes on my Facebook photos. POST FACEBOOK PHOTOS WITH CONFIDENCE!
Above all, she’s a beautiful person, inside and out. I mean c’mon look at her. I’d kill have her physical fervor and look like she does at her age. Girl rocks.

Roxanne is incredibly sweet, professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. My skin looked amazing after my facial and she gave me tips for how to keep it up at home. I highly recommend her! I will definitely be back!

I’m pretty picky about where who I let touch my face. After some serious due diligence, I decided to try Roxanne. I first came in January, after which my face was so glowing and clean that I came back on March 8… and will be back again in May. She took the extra time to remove all my blackheads, which is quite a process… and her neck/​upper back massages are simply a delight. I really value the extra attention and care she provides.
Separately, she is also very organized and practical about scheduling — an absolute gem to work with.

Update. I hadn’t done many facials prior to coming here. Roxanne is five star! She totally pampers you and I always walk out feeling so refreshed, stress free, and most of all, my skin glows, noticeably!

I have now been going to Roxanne for almost a year!
She is fantastic– and the first aesthetician that I have come back to repeatedly. She is knowledgable, effective, and professional. When I first came to her, I suffered from very bad acne. Within 4 months, my skin was completely clear.
She very closely monitors my skins progress, and makes great recommendations that have improved my skin immensely. I have been prescribed accutane, and other antibiotics to treat my skin. None of these were long term solutions. Roxanne truly has made my skin look the best it has ever looked.
In addition, she is always very flexible with my schedule. I have a long commute to work, and she is always willing to stay late to fit me in, and has been very accommodating in the few instances where I had to reschedule.
I highly recommend going to Roxanne at Cloud Nine!

I just discovered Roxanne at Cloud Nine Skin and Body Care back in January. What a fantastic experience. My skin was rough on my forehead and dry under my eyes. Roxanne did a fantastic job and with the products she recommended my skin is like new. The facial I had was the most relaxing and most informative facial experience I have ever had. The day I had my facial I recieved numerous compliments telling me my skin looked fantastic… hard to believe such great results. I am hooked on cloud nine and Roxanne. She has been so patient with me too. I had to reschedule my appointment twice and she was so accomodating… I highly recommend Cloud Nine and I wish I could give Roxanne more stars… A plus and ten stars.

I had a great facial here. The ambiance was magical and incredibly relaxing. The facial was thorough – with a great massage and everything. I would definitely go ahead, and although I used a Groupon I think it is worth at the regular price. The only inconvenience would be that I had to book months in advance to be able to schedule on a Saturday. My skin looks and feels better than ever before.

Roxanne is amazing! I went to 3 different dermatologists before finally going to her for help with bad acne. They had me on pills and creams but nothing would work. Finally I went to Cloud 9 and she told me that if I did the peels for 3 months it would get better. Well, my acne is completely gone now! When I was ready she gave me a really deep good peel. I peeled for 3 days and then my skin looked glowing, radiant, and I looked younger. I’m so grateful I found her.

Roxanne is amazing. I came in with red, irritated, dehydrated skin and she took her time nourishing me back to calm, well-​balanced health. She knows exactly what she is doing. I have never gotten a facial and looked so great afterwards! She was thorough and explained her decision making process, let me relax. I’ll definitely be back. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Her facial is one of the best I’ve ever had — she’s thorough and gentle. She’s very knowledgeable and is happy to share tips and best practices (or she’ll let you relax and drift to sleep). She also pampers you the entire time during your treatment — whether it’s a neck or hand massage, you’re always getting 100% of her attention.
I’ve purchased a few of the products and love the way they are working on my skin. And I love that her facials and products actually work for the long run. I’ve always taken good care of my skin, but going to Roxanne has really taken it to the next level, and I see that my skin is noticeably brighter and smoother. I know my older self will thank my younger self for taking care of my skin now.

I have been going to Roxanne for almost two years now. She is absolutely amazing and has transformed my skin. I used to have terrible acne and I started going to her for facials and now I use all of her products and my skin is almost flawless now. (before that, I had tried EVERYTHING including acutane)
I also go to her for brazillian waxing and eyebrow waxing every three weeks and I am always happy with how it turns out.
On top of the amazing results, Roxanne is so much fun and we always have great laughs and conversation while I am getting my treatments.

I recently relocated to SF from the East coast and was looking for a place to get facials. I have gotten professional facials for 20+ years and am very particular about my aesthetician and their work, the products they use, the place and the value for what I get. I saw a Groupon for Cloud Nine and decided to try it.
Roxanne and Cloud Nine are 5 star all the way!
Roxanne is very knowledgeable about skin and was able to treat some problem areas that I could not get addressed at other places I tried. She communicates well about what she is doing, what she thinks you need and makes notes on your account after your facial — like a history of what she’s done and the results — which can be used for future services. She has followed up with me, via text, a few days after treatments to see how the results were.
I like the products she uses very much (PCA and Babor) and buy from her since her prices are fair. I recently purchased a product that I didn’t like after 5 – 6 uses and just mentioned it to her. She quickly advised that I could just bring it back next time I came in and she gave me another comparable product at no cost to take home with me. No questions asked. Now that is customer service!
Her facial room is very clean, her heated chair/​table is very comfortable, her linens are luxurious, her warm towels are beautifully scented, and she plays soothing music to add to the relaxation.
And, her skin is amazing! She uses the same products on herself that she uses on her clients, so you know what to expect.
I have had 100’s of facials in my life and Roxanne’s facials are at the top! She addresses the needs of my skin and makes me feel like my satisfaction is important. The facial experience is great all around — service, product, environment and Roxanne herself. I have become a regular at Cloud Nine and highly recommend it.

I first came to Roxanne about 4 months ago, with some serious acne that had become an issue only in the last year. I found an online deal for a Classic Facial and thought, why not? So I made an appointment.
At my first appointment, Roxanne told me that a Classic Facial wouldn’t be the right treatment for me because of my active breakouts, and she happily instead gave me the first of my Acne treatments instead, at no additional cost. (The deal I had purchased was for the Classic Facial, which I believe is something like $ 50 less than the acne treatment).
With no pressure, Roxanne recommended PCA and Babor products to treat my acne at home, and also said that within 3 months of regular facials with her, I would start to see results. She offered me a $ 120 deal for my acne treatments, which would include, she said, any treatment needed at no additional cost. Usually if you want (or if your aesthetician recommends) an additional peel or mask, your salon will charge way more on top of your facial price, but Roxanne included all those services and extra peels with the cost of the acne facial.
I’m so happy with my results so far! I’ve been in about once every 4 weeks, and with regular home care in addition to Roxanne’s treatments, my skin has visibly improved so much! The texture is smooth and no longer acne ridden, and my breakouts are reduced considerably. Now we are working on getting rid of some of the scars.
While I had never gotten a facial before coming to Cloud 9, I would absolutely recommend Roxanne and Cloud 9 to anyone. Roxanne is warm, friendly, and caring, but she also knows what’s she’s doing and does very good work! Her salon is intimate and private so you always have her full attention, and the environment is so relaxing that I look forward to my appointments (yes, even the zit-​popping!). And while Cloud 9 isn’t the cheapest salon out there, you certainly get your money’s worth, and Roxanne is not shy to use the best products your skin needs. That’s why even though she’s a bit out of my budget, I’ve been returning because her care has improved my skin so much!

I had my first facial (and glycolic peel) with Roxanee this weekend and she did a wonderful job. Not only was the facial great but she happens to give a fantastic massage along with the facial that is much longer than most aestheticians commit to.
She has been an aesthetician for 17 years so she truly knows her stuff and gave me some great food for thought. She promoted products to me but not in a way that was too much, more that she really believes in those 2 brands. I did come in via a Groupon — I have an aesthetician I am loyal to, however she travels abroad a lot as she reps a French product — so I am looking for someone to fill in while she’s gone.
Word to the wise about parking: it’s San Francisco, people. You can’t blame Roxanne for the lack of proper parking for you. There are plenty of lots on Union + Lombard ( Unilocal! them!) and residential parking is safe for 2 hours on the weekdays from 9 – 6 — try Filbert, Gough or Green. It just requires a little patience and parking karma.
