Dr. Sidi has been in practice at the same 450 Sutter, San Francisco location since 1984. He performs all all phases of general dentistry and devotes many hours to continuing education to keep his practice at the fore front of Dentistry today.

Dr. Claude Sidi received his B.A. in 1977 and his M.S. in 1980 from the University of Oregon. He then went to attain his D.M.D. degree in 1984 from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and performs both, the surgical placement and restoration of Dental Implants.

Other specialties include; composite fillings, crowns, dentures and partial dentures, fixed bridges, root canal therapy, porcelain crowns, porcelain fixed bridges, porcelain veneers, and teeth whitening.

Dr. Sidi is fluent in French and Italian and caters to many international patients. His interests are traveling, art, soccer, skiing, biking, and attending the SF symphony.

Dr. Sidi is a wonderful dentist. I come here with my wife to get the best dental care we could ever have. Added bonus, you get to enjoy the many artworks of Dr. Sidi himself hanging on the walls of the entire office. Also, books upon books of his photography from his numerous travels. It’s like being in those places myself. And of course, the view of the beautiful San Francisco from all windows. Coming here is always an experience, the best experience ever!

The office overlooks the beautiful city below. The soothing music drowns out the drilling noises I once feared. Charlene always cheerfully answers the phone and quickly handles any insurance related issues. Terese does one of the most thorough dental cleanings I have ever had. And Dr. Sidi, he’s a skilled dentist and a talented photographer! Make sure to look through his published books in the lobby.

Claude is the best dentist ever! His staff is friendly, efficient and fun, they will even work with your insurance to figure out how much can be spent and schedule the treatment accordingly. When I needed an unplanned root canal, Claude returned my calls after hours and took me in early the next day. Most definitely recommend.

Claude Sidi has been my dentist for over 25 years, and is both an affordable and expert cosmetic dentist. He is an absolute perfectionist in everything he does. Although I do not have veneers, I have seen the results of his work with other patients, and it is both meticulous and natural-​looking. Dr. Sidi has done bonding on a few of my teeth, and he has replaced my aging crowns over the years, as well. He just does great work. But he doesn’t just do cosmetic work — my husband and children go to him for their regular dentistry needs — I am the one with the challenging teeth!
You won’t meet a warmer or more interesting fellow; Dr. Sidi is just a lovely person and his staff is exceptional.

Having allowed myself to be in dire need of extensive dental work, I was introduced to Dr. Sidi in 2003. Now, through the work of he and his excellent staff, I possess a smile for which I have been complimented many times. (I often jokingly reply that it is the best smile money can buy.)
Like reviewer susan k., I too believe that not only have I found my dentist for life but also that no doubt when the time comes I will have the best teeth in the cemetery. Ha! Bravo (!) to Dr. Sidi and his staff (Lisa, Terese, Jan, Charlene) for providing care that is indeed as good as it gets.

Dr Sidi leads a team of capable, competent and caring staff that keep my mouth in great shape. I have a partnership with him and his office that means I promise to do my part of taking care of my teeth in between visits and they promise to keep my mouth healthy for a long, long time. It’s been about 15+/- years and it’s still a great working relationship. I look forward to my check-​ups and I feel confident that when I do need work done, that it will be top notch! I highly recommend Dr Sidi!

Dr. Sidi has been my dentist ever since I moved to the Bay Area in 1998. He has a wonderful chair-​side manner, and his hygienists are very thorough and professional. His office is conveniently located on Sutter, between Stockton and Powell. His office is well run, with appointments starting on time and proceeding expeditiously. He does not over-​treat, i.e. recommend work that is not necessary, which many dentists do. I highly recommend Dr. Sidi.

I am 69 years old and have had many dentists. When I found Dr. Sidi… I pretty soon realized I had found the dentist for the rest of my life. He and his entire staff are truly wonderful. He is calm and funny and a real people person. His work is impeccable. I now have one implant and may need more in the years to come. His hygienist, Therese, is terrific, as are his assistant, Jan, and his office manager, Charlene. Finally, I can look forward to going to the dentist rather than dreading it. For me this is a big deal, as I was always petrified to go.
Dr. Sidi and I talk about travel a lot, as we are both keen to see the whole world. He is more than just my dentist. He is a friend. I’ve been to a lot of dentists. Dr. Sidi is a keeper.
Check him out. You will be happy you did.
I found him via a small ad in one of the local SF papers… it offered a full cleaning, x-​rays and exam for a small fee. I took him up on it and never looked back.

I have been seeing Claude and his staff for about 5 years – ever since I moved to San Francisco.
Finding a good dentist is one of the most daunting challenges about moving to a new city, and I was lucky enough to find Claude, who is, by far, an excellent provider.
All of my fillings and cleanings are consistently and reliably good — meaning I haven’t had to come back once for any follow-​up, because the job is always done right the first time!
Would highly recommend to anyone in SF, and especially to someone who works in/​near downtown SF, for Claude’s convenient location.

Yep, looking at these other Unilocal reviews prior to this one, I know that I have an excellent dentist. Dr. Sidi might not be on the «cheap» side, but whatever he charges, he is well worth the price (I never see the real bill, as it goes to my insurance company – I am fortunate here). I have had not-​so-​good dentists before. Dr. Sidi is the opposite of that, he and his staff are excellent.
It is always a pleasant experience (imagine saying that about going to a dentist?). He gave me a gold crown on a rear molar (a very important tooth… but aren’t they all?), and never a hint of pain or any sensation ever since.
