Specialties
City Nights is San Francisco’s only 18+ hip-hop night club, featuring two dance halls, two DJs and three full bars, every Saturday night at 715 Harrison St; as well the host venue of Club X, a weekly Friday night 18+ EDM & Top 40 dance event.
History
Established in 1985.
City Nights was opened in 1985 and has since been the première 18+ nightclub in San Francisco and the greater bay area. Originally encompassing just one large dance hall; it was eventually split into two rooms to allow for two DJs and two music formats to be played throughout the night. In the mid-1990s, its Saturday nights were transformed into what is now known as ‘City Nights’ (the Top 40 /Hip-Hop event), hosting surprise performances from Too $hort, to Sage The Gemini, to Pia Mia, Ty Dolla $ign and more. On Wednesday nights, it is the host venue for the EDM /Rave event, ‘EPR’, and on Fridays, it hosts the EDM /Top 40 event, ‘Club X’.
