Chase Bank

Not helpful at all…
Parking lot gets the star– the branch itself — none.
The teller couldn’t answer any of my questions. Knowledge is poor .
Same goes to bankers (

My Husband and I have banked with Chase before it was Chase. Around 25 years or so as they morphed from Coast Federal Savings to Home Savings of America to Washington Mutual to Chase.
Last year, when my Husband and I had just flipped a property, we had a large bank account balance. An employee of the branch saw this and convinced us to change our account to a different kind of checking. One that provided more benefits. I told him that we wouldn’t always have that big balance, because we would eventually be buying another property to flip.
He said no problem, that we could switch back to the account we had when our balance went down again.
Well fast forward to this year and needing new checks. We went to order new checks and were told that our account didn’t have that. We didn’t understand how we could be with this bank for 25 years and not have the free checks.
Well we were told that when we switched to the other type of checking account, for that short time, we lost our «grandfathered» account that had the free checks.
So we asked to speak to the manager. The manager told us that we had lost the grandfathered account and that there was no way to get it back. No way to get the free checks back.
He told us that he would give us checks this one time, which we appreciate. But not before having him and his employee interrogate us for 20 minutes as to why we don’t wish to use their online banking and grilling us on how we use our account, what we use it for and then, for good measure, interrogating us once again why we won’t use their online banking.
We felt that the line of questioning about how we use our account and what we use it for went far overboard.
Needless to say, I will not expect free checks from them in the future and will buy them from a non-​Chase source.
I truly wish that there were other banks with branches and ATM’s where we need them, like Chase. If there were, we would leave. Because we don’t feel valued.
It also helps one not feel valued when you walk into Chase branches everywhere and see that there is only one or two tellers working behind a sea of closed teller windows.

Just an update based on my experience just now. It’s great that this branch as a parking lot and I loved the convenience that this provides time over time. However, I recommend they should hire someone to watch this parking lot to make sure non-​customers don’t park here during business hours on this particular Saturday afternoon. I had to circle four times to eventually get a spot to park so I can get some cash that I badly needed today.

I have been working for them for over two years now as I run my business and they have always been helpful with regards to any problems I encounter throughout the process. Michael, Nancy, Cindy, Andrew and all the staff are very knowledgable and recognize and help solve all of my issues quickly and efficiently! There are so many Chase locations closer to my work but I would rather wait until I get home to ask them for help!

Chase gets 3.5 stars for having a private parking lot.

I go to this bank because it is around the corner. The name is recognizable and dependable. The service at this bank is professional and friendly. I use the ATM a lot or get change from the counter. It’s a good bank to use.

It’s nice that they have a private parking lot here since parking can get pretty bad around this area. This branch is also conveniently located next to many restaurants and bars. If you need to stop by an atm, this is also your spot. As far as wait times, I’ve had no issues with the lines here and the staff here are really friendly. They informed me that my credit card was not signed up for the quarterly cashback bonus which was awesome since that yields me 4% more than usual.

The parking lot is a good place to conduct illegal business such as drug deals and cash handoffs. Because its a bank cops will never be around unless its being robbed. So just make sure the bank isn’t being robbed while you’re doing whatever you do in the parking lot. I come here for money but I’ve never been inside *wink wink*

I have been a Chase customer for over 20 years since it was Home Savings of America. I went into the 19^th avenue and Noriega branch yesterday and left with a really bad experience. The manager Andrew Wong was rude with me. He was short with my conversation. He didn’t seem to want to help me at all. All I wanted to do was cash a check. Andrew does not seem to care about keeping your existing customers happy. His poor attitude is the reason I plan to tell everyone not to do business with Chase. He need to take some customer service classes because I know dishwashers that give better customer service than him. Lets just say that after 20 years of my banking relationship with Chase, I plan on bringing all my business to other institutions due to my unfavorable interaction at your branch. I will tell everyone about my experience.

So I finally decided to open a credit card to start up my credit score only to find out that I was rejected. It’s okay, this always happens. Wait. What the fuck?
Reason for opening credit card: To start credit history
Reason for decline: No credit history
Six months later, I decided to try again. So I spoke to one of the bankers in their isolated cubicle. I explained to him my first situation and he was in lost in confusion. This is how the conversation went:
Banker: «Your application for a credit card also depends on how long you’ve had a checking account with Chase»
Me: «I’ve been having a checking account here since high school when it was still called Washington Mutual»
Banker: «Oh…everybody has a credit score, even if they haven’t opened a credit card»
Me: «But wouldn’t that mean my credit score is good since I never had any overdrafts or late payments and etc?»
Banker: «Um…the amount of money you have in your account is a factor too»
Me: «So you’re saying if I go out and deposit $ 10,000 in my account, my chances increase?»
Banker: «Actually…let me call them to find out the reason»
HAHAHA ran out of lame stupid excuses huh? So the banker calls and asks the reason why I was declined for a credit card. You can hear over the phone that the nice lady said «It’s because he has no credit history.» Oh my god, are you fucking shitting me? That’s what I fucking BEEN telling you guys. As confused to the situation as I am, he suggested that I wait another six months before applying again?
HAHAHAHAHA YEAH FUCKING RIGHT. So you can decline me again because I have no credit history? Suck a big fat one Chase.
I literally went across the street to Bank of America and opened a new checking/​savings account, AND a credit card.

Chase, I love you and all, but the fucking bankers at this location make me so god damn uncomfortable. Every time I walk up those stairs, I feel like they’re attacking me with greetings. It’d be cool if they just said hi; but no, they insist on taking you to the cubicles to look up your information and try to get you to open accounts and all that jazz.
Look, I’m coming in to make a deposit. It should take me 3 minutes (given that there is no line) MAX. Don’t fucking try to get me to get a credit card, SDB, or open another account. I’m not there for that. If I want to do something along those lines, don’t you think I would do it?
I do love being extremely rude to the bankers when they realize that my account is completely up to date, and needs no further adjustments. The awkwardness is great. I just sit there and stare at them. They don’t even deposit my money for me. They just hand it off to someone and then sit there and look up my account. Their faces when they see that I updated my account recently are MONEY. Money, money, money.
Anyways. I’ll probably file a report about how uncomfortable the bankers make me feel if they continue to swarm me the next time I’m there. Heheeeeee. :)

My little brother was fetting his first credit card and needed to verify some information prior to receiving it so we sopped by Chase on Noriega before lunch. Big mistake.
Maybe it was because my blood glucose levels were low due to being starving but it seemed like it took us forever to get some help. Thy were probably really busy but at least when we did get help, they were nice and made sure that everything was right. She even remembered my brother from last week which is a big plus because most people forget who you are he minute you walk out.
Overall, good experience.

This place has really changed since it morphed from a wamu to chase. The people are a lot more smiley, the place has been remodeled and they all got new outfits!
They also close at 4pm on saturdays instead of 1pm now! How great is that!
