Chapel of Our Lady at the Presidio

Old, rustic, and vintage. This is located in what used to be a army/​navy place. The inside architecture is beautiful, but looks creepy and has an old smell to it.

If you are having your reception in the Presidio or close by, the Chapel is perfect for the ceremony. It is simple but so beautiful. We heard over and over from our guests how much they loved the ceremony and the chapel played a large part. Since it is no longer a active church you can have anyone officiate the wedding which is a big plus!

We had our wedding ceremony at the Chapel of Our Lady. The venue is absolutely stunning and the pictures don’t do it justice. I communicated with Susan at the Presidio and the rental process was easy. We actually rented the venue after we decided we didn’t want the stress of having an outdoor ceremony and having to have back-​up plans or a tented ceremony. We got lucky that someone that had a hold on the venue decided to go with another venue, so we booked it as soon as it opened. Susan was great in answering all of our questions and setting everything up! There is plenty of parking nearby and although we did pew flowers and alter arrangements, you definitely don’t have to have it as the venue is stunning on its own. I wouldn’t have changed a thing going with this venue!

Beautiful hidden gem in the Presidio. We got married here last fall and had put in reservations a year in advance. Apparently, this chapel is high in demand, it was booked back to back on our wedding day. We were lucky enough to secure a time slot. The chapel itself is simple yet elegant. You really don’t need much décor since the chapel has beautiful architecture and lighting. The chapel can seat up to 200 guest. The reservation process was simple and easy and everything went smoothly on our big day.
There is also plenty of parking for all your guests which is a big plus for San Francisco.

This place is super cute & quaint. Could easily fit about $ 100 guests. I dont remember the price ranges, but the grassy area in front next to the chapel would be great for an informal reception with the right décor.

Got married at this chapel in December. It is a non-​denominational chapel in the beautiful presidio. The venue was simple but charming/​lovely with it large window behind the altar, stained glass, wood beams, and iron gates. You don’t need much decorations, we just had two arrangement on the altar.
The chapel can hold 200 guests and is rented out in 4-​hr slots either 10am-​2pm or 3pm-​7pm. There a bridal changing room and one restroom. There is no sound system but we didn’t need one. Christian was our event coordinator and she was professional, helpful and prompt.

If you dream of the warmly lit, quaint chapel wedding then you were thinking of The Chapel of Our Lady.
The exposed beams are tooled with charming flower tendrils, the honey hued wood is inviting and the whole structure is a miniature fairytale waiting to happen.
Right across the way is a reception perfection and you’re in the Presidio, history surrounds!

My wedding ceremony took place at the Presidio, Chapel of Our Lady. It has a simple elegance that can’t be bought. I had flowers along the pews and alter but it is so beautiful already that you could go without the decorations. The stain glass sides and front brings a gentle light into the church. With the red carpet, it is great for pictures. Shirley (Sales) was wonderful to work with with. She was knowledgeable and was able to provide us with guidance when we asked for her opinion. She was the best. You will be assigned a wedding coordinator. Just a warning you have to check in with them regularly to make sure things go smoothly so get their cell #. Give this church a look, you will be awed.

I just had my wedding here & was a little nervous at first that it wasn’t as «fancy/​nice» as I had wanted it to be seeing as I’m really picky about aesthetics & obsessed about my wedding. But it ended up turning out beautifully. Honestly this little chapel is so charming once filled with your family/​friends. I actually had a ton of people comment on how much they loved it — I think because it was so unique & the lighting & glass windows are really beautiful.
I would def pick this place again… so glad i had my ceremony here!

A gorgeous, non-​denominational former military chapel with three glass sides with garden views and gorgeous hand painted rafters. Simple, beautiful, charming and not in need of any additional decorations. (Hurray!) We faxed our reservation request in exactly one year before our wedding at 9:07 AM (they accepted them starting at 9, but I was running a little late) and we apparently beat another couple by 15 minutes or so. If you want to book there, you must be quick about it. Very affordable, especially compared to other SF venues.
