Excellent venue: a good selection of burgers and salads; nice cocktails.

Have been here a few times over the years both with friends and even once on a date. The chicken bits appetizer is so good! Love the chandeliers. They have TV where they often play sports and I have mainly observed large groups hanging out after a day of work. This place is pretty relaxing. It can double as a date spot but necessarily if you’re trying to impress. More of a good place to talk. Liked the selection of music too, it went from 80-top 40 that made it more relaxing. The prices are decent.

This place is super convenient for a quick drink on the way home from dinner, it’s on the way up the hill to our apartment building. I have been here on slow Friday nights, where the only spot occupied are at the bar, but I have also seen the solo bar tender get her ass handed to her due to terrible understaffing. The night of the Metallica concert, which was also the Saturday before the Superbowl was insane. There was one bar tender, one server and one bar back. This girl managed extremely well, never let the smile slip from her face and kept moving, mixing and chatting with customers at an amazing pace. She was totally in the weeds for a good hour and she killed it, with out any back up. My hubs is a fan of their special, you can get a beer and a shot of $ 10. Win!

This place is really good. First restaurant we stopped at in S.F. back in early April 2015. Anastacia was our server and she did great. Kept our drinks topped off and made sure we had everything we needed. The burgers were reasonably priced and tasted great. The beers they had were also delicious. I recommend it.

Came in here for lunch on a Wednesday. Got seated very quickly and the service was prompt. Definitely a better bar than restaurant. The food was very average and overly salted. Don’t think I would return for food, but maybe stop in for a drink sometime.

Prime location for after work happy hours. Come here often enough and the waitresses will recognize you and seat you immediately(which can be a feat on Fridays). Standouts include their shot and beer special for $ 10. I haven’t had any of their entrees but appetizers are awesome for the drunchies, and include tatertots with cheese, sweet potato fries, and sliders.

Beer and shot HH special. Tator tots. My coworkers and I come here frequently after work, but that is all I really need to say about this place. The nachos are decent as well. They check ID at the door!

Crowded, loud and overpriced for the quality of food & drink. Perhaps at happy our this proposition is a little better, but not at full price. Service was inattentive. Fish tacos were flavorless and the burgers were no better than what you would find in a box in the frozen food section of a local grocery store. The place looks great from the outside and the décor is fine, but I was also somewhat confused by the name, as it would imply a certain aviation theme which wasn’t carried through to the interior. As far as deep-fried bar snacks and draft beer go, fine, but wouldn’t plan on dinner here as there are plenty of better options nearby both in terms of quality and value.

I recently hosted my boyfriend’s surprise party here and reserved the Dining Area for the event. The entire process of booking my event to the actual production was so easy and saved me a lot of stress and hassle. I worked directly with Noelle, the owner, who was extremely helpful and flexible with my party needs. Little did I know that she knew my boyfriend as he is a frequent guest at the bar. I worked with her in advance to discuss a Bar Tab minimum that needed to be met that was very reasonable. The day the event came, the staff was so helpful in clearing out the tables, having food served hot and ready, and displaying my photo cake I had for the event. The event went off without a hitch. My boyfriend was surprised, everyone had a good time, and the food and drinks were awesome! LOVELOVELOVEEDDIE’S! It is nice to have a bar where I know the staff and can call them friends now :) Thank you Noelle and Krystina!

Went to visit the good old cap’n the other day and realized why I don’t come here often. Food here isn’t half bad, it’s actually pretty decent, but the service can be crap crap crap. They need to hire more people as everyone working here looks ridiculously overwhelmed. Plus they charged my credit card twice for the same order. Thanks fam.

Stopped by after happy hour on the way to dinner. It was Wednesday, August 5th around 8:45pm. We had a little less than an hour, so we only had time for one round of drinks. *Cucumber gimlet($ 12) *Bulleit rye regiment($ 11) We were in a hurry and I wanted something refreshing. The cucumber gimlet stood out so I ordered it. It did the trick. I had a sip of the bulleit rye regiment as well. I’m more of a dark girl so I actually enjoyed the rye cocktail more. Vibe of the bar was chill. Friends had dropped by for some food, so we joined them for a drink as we were having dinner later around the corner. It was easy to grab a table on a Wednesday night. Nice stop for a round of drinks.

After boycotting Eddie Rickenbackers for over a year due to horrible evolution of an old favorite I gave them a shot due to the $ 5.95 Hamburger Monday Special. What a mistake. Awful Bloody Mary. COSTCO hamburger. Vampira BT who was lost even though it was slow. Norman must be rolling in his grave. Fantastic Tater Tots and much of the clutter has been removed exposing the true gem: the back bar from the old Henry Africa’s.

Aye aye, captain! Me thinks Capt Eddie Rickenbackers has some good happy hour deals going on! Happy Hours: Monday — Friday, 4pm to 6pm — $ 4 Drafts — $ 4 Well Cocktails — $ 6 Wine Monday — $ 5.95 Burger & Fries all day Tuesday — 2 for $ 6 Drafts — 2 for $ 10 Daily Specialty cocktail Wednesday — ½ off Bottles of Wine & Wings They have a few TVs around the bar, so it’s a cool place to watch sports. On the big game days, you can reserve a table. The minimum for a table that we sat at was $ 125, which is pretty easy to hit. I’m always a fan of bars that are close to a BART station because that means I have a shorter distance to stumble onto BART to get my butt back home!

This place is awesome and I suggest everyone to come by and try a deal if they get time. They have really good food as well. The crowd is friendly and they have tons of options for drinks. I recommend if your hungry to try the tater tots or sweet potato fries for an appetizer. Though if your looking for a full on meal I suggest you go with a Niger any of them on the menu they are all delicious. So if you in the area I suggest you cruise through grab and drink som food and catch a game!

We randomly walked in one night to try it out– the place was pretty crowded for a week night so we assumed it must be good. Atmosphere is good, place is nicely decorated. The staff was also attentive and kind. Food was mediocre at best. For $ 10, you get 5 chicken wings, overcooked, chewy and drenched in sauce. The fish tacos were not good either. To be honest, I think they just have everything waiting to be microwaved and arranged upon order. The only thing that seemed fresh were the sweet potato fries — they took the longest to come to our table and they were good. I will probably never return here — I can get the same, overpriced beer and much better food at other places in SF for the same prices.

Ok, honestly, I know this place is a sports bar but there is something incredibly undervalued about this place… half-off bottles of wine(and wings) on Wednesdays. So what does that mean? Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc which is regularly priced at ~$ 53 is a total steal at ~$ 26. I didn’t think the wings were that great which is driven by both the actual wings and quantity of wings so I wouldn’t recommend wings.

Average bar, average drinks, average food. Friendly service though. But there are better drinking establishments in the area!

I’m surprised this place has such a low review count. I thought it’s been open for years. It’s an alternative go-to for my coworkers on a group outing so i was expecting it to be the SOMA version of the Irish Bank, but it’s much more stately and fancy. Love the chandeliers! Such a fun touch. Our server was very good and adept at handling the groups ongoing drink requests. I didn’t really get to sample the food, but the presentation is nice. Can’t comment on prices as it relates to value since I wasn’t picking up the tab. Imagine it gets crazy for happy hour so I’ll probably stick to it as a lunchtime venue.

This is an awesome lunch spot… on Mondays. They have a great deal of $ 6 burger and fries! I couldn’t believe this place wasn’t packed. The burgers are usually double the price, so this is a steal! Burger was decent, super juicy, and I quite enjoyed my sweet potato fries. although they were a little soggy, but I’ve had worse, so :)

I’ve been to Capt Eddie’s in the past for drinks after work functions. It’s cool I suppose. There used to be old school Tiffany chandeliers but they were taken out and are presumably in a museum now since they were too expensive to be in a borderline dive bar. Lots of TVs, the bartender who served us had cans for days and a terrible attitude. This time around I had just a shot of Fernet to ease my sour stomach, but I’ve had weak Gin and Tonics before. I would like to try the nachos, as they have been raved about in other reviews, but hopefully the bartenderes realize that life is short and it’s OK to be kind.

Eddie’s is a convenient place to come watch sports games or do Happy Hour after work in the FiDi area. Delicious food, strong drinks, and lively atmosphere… what’s more to ask for? We usually come here for work Happy Hours and reserve the long table near the front of the restaurant. If you don’t do a reservation, be prepared to have a small wait to be seated. Service gets a bit slow during the rush hour, but the servers are generally very friendly. Usually the Happy Hour crowd disperses after 7PM. SOMEFAVORITEBARBITESINCLUDE… + CHEESEBURGERSLIDERS: cute little sliders where you assemble yourself with pre-cut tomatoes, lettuce, red onions and an aioli sauce. These are my favorite sliders on the menu(both the brisket and braised pork sliders are a bit too sweet). + TURKEYSLIDERS: love the cranberry chutney and brie that goes with these sliders… yum! + SWEETPOTATOFRIES: we go through a few buckets of these fries… perfectly fried with just a hint of salt. + TATERTOTS: second favorite potato snack here… crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. + QUINOASALAD: who knew you’d find such a delicious quinoa salad in a bar?! But hey… this is SF for you. Love the texture of the quinoa, lentils, chickpeas and the tangy combination of feta cheese and cherry tomatoes. This is one dish you won’t have to feel guilty about eating at a bar. GETYOURDRINKONWITH… + PRICKLYPEARMARGARITA: the prickly pear makes this drink a fuschia pink but don’t be put off! They don’t hold back on the tequila and this drink is actually on par with Tropisueno’s margaritas. + PEACHICEDTEA: peach whiskey and iced tea make a great summer drink combo + CUCUMBERGIMLET: very refreshing, yet sweet drink, with the use of cucumber vodka **Check with the waitress on Happy Hour drink specials… usually it’s BOGO for one of their House Cocktails.** Things to note: — This place is LOUD. I could barely hear my coworkers across the table. — Very crowded from 5 – 7PM on weekday evenings

My group of coworkers came here from another bar because they had food. Unknown to us, they still were completely full at 7:30pm on a weeknight! We waited a while and the staff there were trying to seat our group of 10 but since it was open seating, there’s really nothing more we can do except wait and take a table whenever people leave. The servers and bartenders were very helpful in bringing food and drinks to us. We ordered a lot of fries because we were in need of carbs badly. Later on, we all kind of agreed that we really didn’t like the fries in terms of taste, texture, and all. The fries were cut inconsistently. On the other hand, the stuffed mushrooms and pork/brisket sliders were tasty and I’d definitely order those again. I may come back here as this place has a decent amount of seating and has a long bar where it’s easy to find seats even when the place is packed.
