Candle Light Shop

Despite the cost, I have decided to return to this shop. You can’t put a price on great customer service. There is cost and there is value.

A wonderful selection of candles and many other items, many of religious or spiritual uses. Especially nice selection of «votive» glass candles for many causes and Saints, etc. Out of the way, but worth the trip and easy to get to via BART or 14 Mission bus line. Very helpful staff, and nice prices — I will return !

Shops like this is what the city is all about. a neighborhood shop that has been an institution in the community for 30+ years, inventory or items that you can’t find anywhere else, and people running the place that treat you like family. and if you’re looking for anything that is primarily religious based such as candles, medallions, incense, prayer candles, statues, artifacts, or a little korean lady who treats you like one of her own and tells it like it is, then you gotta come check it out! and if you don’t know what you’re looking for and have personal problems that can use some higher power help, i’m telling you, ask the little korean lady (Sue), she’ll have just the thing for you! who would’ve thot right?! very awesome. i come here every once in a while when i need a lift and thats exactly what i get. never disappointed. oh and be sure to say whats up to the ol’ skool korean dude (sue’s husband) working in the back! peace!

This place is awesome! I required some items for a metaphysical project. The Asian lady behind the counter is extremely helpful– I told her what I needed and within minutes, I had a bag full of supplies.
The store is fairly spacious when compared with other comparable establishments. And every inch of available space is packed full of oils, talismans, etc. It doesn’t matter your religion– they have a huge selection of candles and rosaries. They also cater to the Wiccan/​Pagan crowd and I’m pretty sure I saw a small selection of Voudun items.
I highly recommend this place for anyone needing candles and oils. The selection is huge, the prices are fair and the staff are completely nonjudgemental.
The only thing that sucks is the parking. Take Bart and get off at the 24^th Mission stop: it’s a quick walk from the Bart station to the Candlelight Shop!

This place is GREAT! They have everything you need, from religious artifacts to candles. The prices are good too.
The Korean lady, Sue, she is SUPER nice. I asked sooo many questions, and she never got upset. Tell her what you need, and she’ll find the right candle for you. She’ll also put special prayer oils on top of your candle for you.
I’m not Catholic, but I still go here for all my religious needs. It’s super easy to get to, b/​c it’s right off of Bart.
I definitely have gone back a few times already.

Tell the little Korean lady your problem.
She’ll tell you what you need to get and do.
No guarantee that your spell will actually work, but interesting none the less. Skull shaped candles, penis shaped candles, candles shaped like naked people, cross shaped candles, vigil candles for just about every saint and condition, dried herbs, occult books…
The place is usually packed!

This is THE spot to get Catholic stuff!
Candles, Icons, incense, and tons of saint stuff you have never thought of.
It is right off BART too.
I aim for my living room to look like a gawdy Catholic brothel.

This is a beautiful brightly lit, airy shop with so many pretty things. It is very Catholic and has all your favorite saints and Catholic icons, including my personal favorite the Black Madonna of Czestochowa. There is a large selection of beautiful rosaries, medals, statues, and prayer cards. They have materials in English in addition to the usual Spanish language materials. They also have a small but nice selection of candles, powders, oils, and soaps. Everything is kept behind the counter and in glass cases, so you get to enjoy chatting with the store employees.

just a couple of steps from BART deep in the mission.. .this is a tiny dusty shop filled with tons of candles, curios, rosaries, and statues. need a candle for st expedite or st michael you can find it here. do you need a menorah??.. . yep they have that too.
the store was filled with peeps getting their mojo on.. .stocking up on candles and incense — very cool.

Need an exorcism? Whether it be to get rid of the evil spirits of boy/​girlfriends past or just your run of the mill cleansing, this innocuous little store next to the Attic is your one stop shop for rosaries, crucifixes, herbs, incense, candles (of course) and other fun religious goodies.
Also the older Korean couple that run the place work hard and are pretty friendy. I always see the husband out and about, sweeping the sidewalks. Is it me or does it suddenly seem like the Mission is the new Koreatown?
