History
Established in 2012.
Inspired by the garden, Cake Bloom is rooted in the simple beauty and pure, vibrant flavors of the season.
Cakes are composed of the highest quality ingredients, including farm-fresh Sonoma County eggs, organic butter, sugars, flours and chocolate and customized with infused pastry creams, curds, caramel or artisan preserves.

Susan W.
Business Owner
Susan began her foray into baking around age 8. She and her big sister made a Crabapple-Spice cake for their father’s birthday, and if you know anything about crabapples, it was a labor of love. Amazingly, those annoyingly tiny, extra tart apples from their backyard turned into a beautiful three-layer confection, filled and finished with pillowy swirls of cream cheese frosting, and Susan was hooked.
In awe of the apples’ transformation, Susan got a taste of the joys of baking from scratch and began to consider her own backyard in future kitchen pursuits…
Since then, she’s graduated from culinary school, worked in restaurants and catering and spent eight exploring the bounty of Bay Area farms, gardens and vineyards.
She works for local olive oil producer, McEvoy Ranch, and bakes custom wedding and special event cakes on the side.
