Love the crowd at BoC. Tix are a bit pricey but worth it if you can rally and party your buns off.)’(

It’s a great way to ring the new year!!! I love festivals, DJs, live music, an all around good time, mixed with a little weirdness that’s out in the open. If those things appeal to you, then bookmark this for next year. Located close to the Mission Bay Area, you’ll be able to muni and walk to the event. There’s local vendors for you to eat some delicious treats. Upon entrance it’s the usual bag check and then you’re in to party. Yes, there is a coat check for those of you that are like me and need a jacket for entrance and exits. The people are a big part of the experience and I give the crowd five stars. Lots of great looks from onesies to pseudo-costumes. The onesie was probably amazing at 6AM but I know those people got hot once the crowds started showing up. Everyone was friendly and open to dancing and sharing laughs and good times as we rang in the new year together. You have a few stages with DJs spinning so bring your dancing shoes. The music is loud and you’ll feel it in your bones. Also, bring cash!!! That’s how you have to pay for everything. All-in-all, I fully intend on returning to BOC next year… and maybe even in a onesie.

NEWYEARSDAYFADE Had a blast at Breakfast of Champions, oddly enough I went with my mom and had the best time. Music Tents were popping. This is a party for the people who can’t stop and won’t stop. Side note: My bloody Maria was strong and it had bacon. Kept my feet going all day. The

No better way to kick off the new year with a bang! Right from the get-go, there was plenty of parking, albeit a bit of a walk. Security was very polite which is always a HUGE plus in my book. Our group checked in without any issues and away we went into the event. I think the only complaint was that it was too hot inside Mighty but that’s to be expected with a huge event like this. What I really enjoyed were the two tents outside because there was plenty of room to dance and the music was outstanding. Hats off on the variety of genres played. Oh and DAMN good coffee served. Thank you to everyone who helped to coordinate this event. It’s obvious you worked very hard and hopefully the dividends paid off for you. They certainly did for me and I loved every minute of it!

The best crew throwing the most fun parties. The music is always amazing but the vibe is what keeps us coming back. Love the breaks!

The absolute best way to bring in the New Year! My friends and I had so much fun. Excellent DJs, great space(not overcrowded), beautiful smiling faces everywhere you turn… it’s just the BESTEST! My heart is humming with gratitude and gratefulness. Thank you, Space Cowboys.

Space Cowboys throw it down. Best Nye after party in this solar system. Thanks for everyone’s hard work. You are the ones that make us champions. There’s enough music for everyone, but eat before you come, cause unlike what the Noob that gave the one star review thought, this is not a brunch. It’s a rave. Shit was slammin! See you in ’16.

This is an annual tradition, and something I look forward to this event every single year. The music is off the hook, people are happy, and there’s good vibes all around. The DJ’s play consistently awesome music, and the people that come are all fantastic. One of my favorite ways to start the new year!

I had an absolute blast at this party! My friends and I were all kicking ourselves for not having attended previously. The world would be a better place if this was a monthly event. Great djs, happy crowd, some rockin playa costumes, plenty of bars. Good selection of food trucks. Check-in was easy — I arrived around 1:30 and had no wait to get in. Granted, the dance spaces were crowded, but that’s what happens when you throw an epic party! Jan. 1, 2016 can’t come soon enough :)

If you’ve had a shitty year you want to forget, go to Breakfast of Champions. If you’ve had a great year and you want to celebrate it, go to Breakfast of Champions. If you want to get closer to your friends or other loved ones and spend the first hours of a new year appreciating them, go to Breakfast of Champions. If your friends suck and they all ditched you at NYE and you need to believe in good people again, go to Breakfast of Champions. If you are a connoisseur of drum n’ bass or uptempo electronic music and want a feast for your ears, go to Breakfast of Champions. If you have no idea what drum n’bass is and don’t listen to electronic music at all, go to Breakfast of Champions. If you love going to Mighty, go to Breakfast of Champions. If you hate going to Mighty, go to Breakfast of Champions. If you like it when people are nice to each other for no reason, go to Breakfast of Champions. If you are cynical and suspicious of people being nice, go to Breakfast of Champions. Here’s the deal, this is an all day party(for some an AFTER party for the night before) with some of the happiest, most fun electronic music you will ever hear and dance to. The crowd(many thousands over the whole day) is great — no dirtbags, shitheel bro-douches or snobby princesses — these are people who REALLY love to dance. Because many of them have been doing it all night or got their ass up hella early to be here. No, there is no «breakfast» dummy(but you can get a great korrito from Seoul on Wheels!) unless you count a stacked Bloody Mary as «breakfast.» The music is your breakfast, the dancing is your breakfast, the fun is your breakfast, and you are the champion. How do you want to start your year? In agony from a hangover of ennui from the year before or dancing your ass off with great people? Seriously, if dancing is your thing, just be there next year. It will be the one choice all year you definitely won’t regret.

Breakfast of Champions brought me into 2013 like a friggin CHAMP! Wow, what a party! It’s gonna be an awesome year :) Got here at noon and didn’t leave till 5pm. all this while recovering from a mean bubbly hangover! My veteran Champ friend wisely advised that if you get there too early, the lines are long and the people are smelly. come noon time you can actually see and smell the difference. the people are fresher, having showered and redressed after a long night of doing whatever. All I can say is that I danced my newly minted 2013 buns off!!! Great dj, drummers in the corner, large crowd, fur, feathers, costumes, stilts. all out SF block party in the middle of the morning on New Years DAY! Grab a drink and a group of Champs and have a blast!!! The best way to bring in the New Year! PS: More words from the wise. Stay outdoors, eat beforehand, buy tix presale. PPS: and psst, to the guy with the one star review. don’t expect flippin room service, this is an SF block party not a sit down breakfast!

I love people watching. I love watching people interact with each other. I love watching people dance. I love watching people smile. I love watching people think. I love watching people talk. I just love people. Breakfast of Champions was an interesting fusion of half — sh*t show(both literally and figuratively) — and also some of the best people watching in the city. Seriously — by the time we made it inside — the bathrooms were flooded — with a permeating smell of grossness lingering on the outdoor patio. And the rest of the restrooms were out of order. The upstairs working bathroom(s) — had about a 40 person line — and I’m sure only half of the people waiting in it — actually even needed to use it :) Having just drunk a handful of glasses of water before I made it out here — I had to beg one of the guys guarding the out-of-order bathroom — if I could use it quickly. He ummmmed and aaaaaaahed and finally relented — if I promised to write my number down for him. I may have fudged a digit or two — but I was so desperate I handed him a crumpled piece of paper, regardless. Bathroom drama aside, there is something truly exhilarating and special about Breakfast of Champions. It’s a celebration with people from all over the the Bay area. I was talking with a guy there — who had driven up all the way from LA on New Year’s day — just to join friends at Breakfast of Champions. Yes there is a line to get inside(I highly recommend buying tickets beforehand next year) — but the line is part of the fun. In it — you get to hear about everyone else’s crazy nights. It’s an opportunity to meet people who will dance it up with you on a self made stage inside. It’s a chance to spread love and good energy and get it in return. Inside it’s mayhem. But it’s beautiful mayhem. People celebrating 2010. People celebrating life. And though Kelly’s was pure craziness — the staff had a good sense of humor. You couldn’t beat the location as well. There was parking(even if you had to walk a little) — and located right on the water — it was a unique San Francisco moment. The minus one star is for the bathroom situation — but you can be sure that next year I will be here. Going strong. And will be sure to buy my ticket in advance. Trust.
