Established in 2012.

Blue Path Acupuncture was started with the philosophy of adopting a medical paradigm designed specifically to meet your needs. You’ll experience health care designed around you, and not the other way around.

We want to educate each person and let them know that through subtle shifts in their own paradigm, a person can create a healthier vibrant life. Healing and health comes from within and we enjoy educating the public on the right tools for this discovery.

As a health care practitioner of Chinese Medicine, Lisa’s goal is to uncover the root cause of an ailment, employing a multi-​tiered and integrative approach through means of treating the body, mind and spirit.

Known for her diagnostic skills, nonjudgmental demeanor and effective treatments, Lisa enjoys creating partnerships with her patients to develop the right treatment plans for their specific goals.

While in China, she completed an advanced study at Yue Yang Hospital in Shanghai with a focus on internal medicine and nerve and muscle regeneration.

Lisa was an instrumental part of my life during a time when I really needed it. I saw her for issues related to stress and exhaustion. Her calm, warm, and welcoming demeanor was a breath of fresh air during a time where it felt like the world was on top of my shoulders. She really took care to understand how I was feeling, talk through things with me, and make me feel cared for. Overtime I started to see the benefits of her work on my body, and learned a lot through her teachings. I cannot say enough about how great she is and her dedication to her patients. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat.

Lisa is an exceptional acupuncturist and healer. She is extremely tuned into her patients and provides excellent care. Lisa is a true healer who has improved my health and strengthened my immune system tremendously. When I started with Lisa I had persistent colds/​asthma with continuous phlegm/​dampness in my lungs and sinuses. This was over a year ago. Thanks to her healing expertise and persistence (hers and mine — you have to have continuous treatments for it to all be effective), I now brush off colds like nothing and feel better than ever. Lisa also helps me with stress, hip flexor issues and digestive issues. I continue to visit Lisa for maintenance and believe if not for her, I would not enjoy the good life quality I have. Lisa is not only an amazing acupuncturist, but she is truly a wonderful person. Lisa helped me tremendously with my wide spread pain, stiffness in the neck and shoulders and stress management. I walked into her office on a recommendation, as a skeptic in acupuncture, and was absolutely hooked after my first treatment. Lisa was calming and helpful. She listened and was attentive in taking time and care with any and all problems. I have never felt so great. I recently had to relocate out of the area, and one of the things I will miss the most are my appointments with Lisa. There wasn’t a single doctor in over a decade of appointments that was able to address the deeper issues in my discomfort and stress levels. Lisa is a miracle worker. She doesn’t just treat you in office, she supplies you with the skills to improve your life when you walk out the door, and is excellent on following up to check in on your progress. Each appointment is different as she assesses your needs, I assure you I never felt like just another patient. My time was as important to her as it was to me. I would (and have) recommend her to anyone. If there were more than 5 starts to give, she deserved them all.

I started going to her for help with stress and weight loss, but she’s helped me with so much more. She is a great listener. I cannot give a stronger or more positive recommendation. I started developing chronic allergies several years ago. I went to see 2 – 3 other doctors, including an ENT, but they were not able to offer helpful, long term solutions. Lisa evaluated my discomfort from a full-​body, holistic approach. Writing about Lisa is tough, bc she makes me feel like Im her only patient in the world. She has helped me through anxiety, jaw pain, vascular syndromes, back pain and anything else I can possibly get.

Lisa is a «Jack of All Trades» when it comes to acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine! I have not received acupuncture treatment before, and she was very warm and welcoming, from being introduced, to the office itself, and her method of treatment.
Just this week, I threw my back out and was having trouble sleeping as a result. After just one treatment and about 40 minutes of care, Lisa had assessed the issue, applied some needles, cupping, and physical treatment; immediately, I left feeling better and overnight was able to sleep comfortably with virtually no pain the next day.
She also has shared with me many of her other talents, including herbal remedies, and activities to apply in order to mitigate recurring injury.
Thank you Dr. Lisa! She will be my sole resource for acupuncture and for referring my friends and family.

Dr. Lisa is absolutely amazing. I came in for a relaxation treatment and her thorough intake process led us to discuss my old injuries from a car accident 14 years ago. I have had nerve damage and pain in my lower legs for 14 years and have tried everything.
We work on my legs with some needling and then she discussed options with herbs. Within a week she had special ordered the herbs and created a custom poultice to slather on my leg every other day.
After 2 weeks of working with the herbs, MY SEVERED NERVE IS HEALING. This is something that never happens. I am so amazed every time I realize I have feeling in my lower right leg… I never thought that would happen again!

This was my first time trying acupuncture, and went in not knowing what to expect. I’m an extremely active athlete and work at a demanding, 24 – 7 on-​call type of job. I have a shoulder injury from the former and general stress from the latter, and was curious how acupuncture might help with both.
Lisa was knowledgeable, professional, and above all had an incredibly calming presence. She was about to figure out quickly where the issues were and what to focus on. Lisa is fully present and it’s easy to tell how much she cares for her patient.
I imagine the experience is different for everyone, but for me, acupuncture was physically akin to excellent physical therapy and mentally like walking through a remote forest. My shoulder improved dramatically over the course of one hour with Lisa, and I walked out in a incredibly calm, centered, peaceful state of mind.
If you’ve never tried acupuncture or are looking for someone else, I would highly recommend Lisa.

I value flexibility, I am in tune with my body, active, busy, have a high threshold for pain, and I want results. Lisa exceeded my expectations and resolved issues over a few visits. Amazing! contacted me within 24 hours, asked me questions to see if Acupuncture could be a solution, devised a plan and got me in. I was not sure at first but I am a believer of Acupuncture now — I was desperate to rid myself of the pain. After the first visit I was pain free, but also knew that I had to find the source and strengthen what was weak and used Acupuncture in conjunction to my self physical therapy! Back to running after a month or so!
I had such a hip issue that every time I moved my leg while walking and getting in and out of the car there was a knife in my hip.

My experience and treatments with Lisa at Blue Path Acupuncture have been wonderful. Lisa is incredible. She knows what she is doing, takes care and time to assess my immediate concerns, and continues to focus on my overall, initial needs. Lisa visits our office once a month and it’s such a treat.
She listens to my concerns and will walk me through how she would treat it. I’m on my third month and have benefited from it so much that I have recommended it to my parents. The needles are scary at first, but once you realize the benefits, it’s nothing.
With the help from Lisa my headaches and neck pain have lessened.

I came to Presidio Acupuncture after a referral from my golfing buddy. I met with Lisa Lam, who went over a typical issues that golfers have and took an inventory on my situation – stress (obviously) and golfer’s elbow. Lisa suggested a 3 treatment plan that included a mix of Chinese herbs and acupuncture. Surprisingly, the Chinese Herbs helped with my energy and stress relief on the course, while the acupuncture has relieved the majority of the pain from my elbow. I look forward to finishing my 3rd treatment with Lisa.
To note, this is very close to Presidio Golf Course – I come here before my rounds.

I am a typical case of an athlete who puts a lot of stress on their body, and then spends the work week crouching behind a computer. I came to Lisa searching for any kind of relief on my neck, shoulders and back. I had never had acupuncture before. Lisa took the time educate me about acupuncture, and after listening to my situation she offered me a couple of solutions. We decided to start with her stress package.
Lisa’s treatment was much more than just acupuncture in my opinion. She massaged muscles in my back and she released muscles in my shoulders that were pulling my neck forward. She also worked on my neck and it noticeably created more movement and relieved stress. This was all before she started her needle treatment. The acupuncture itself was very euphoric just as advertised.
I highly recommend visiting Lisa if you’re considering acupuncture. Like I said, she’s more than just an acupuncturist in my opinion. She is extremely knowledgeable about the body, she talks to you about your concerns, she’s very professional and kind, and for those reasons I would recommend her to any of my fiends or family members.
