Mary the owner got me in for a scalp therapy & blowout on short notice. I forget the stylist’s name (very short hair, in 20’s), but she was great at styling my long, fine hair the way I envisioned it being.

Not only is the place clean it smells nice. The front desk was very polite and courteous which was refreshing. But the best part was that I got the most amazing haircut from the stylist there — Jenny Tom — whom I highly recommend. She gave me great advice in the consult and my hair feels and looks great. I took a ton of inches off with absolutely no fear … I’ll be coming back for color because Jenny specializes in it and I totally trust in her now. See you soon Jenny!

I’ve been going to Belli Capelli for around 8 years and love my stylist Jenny. She does an amazing job with my color/​cuts and always makes me feel really comfortable. Plus, the salon has a really relaxing atmosphere. Love!

I just had the most incredible experience with Anne! I wanted to cut off a lot of hair and was really anxious about it. She made me feel SO at ease and I left feeling so confident and beyond thrilled with my cut and beautiful color. She has such a warm and inviting personality and all the women I met there were also so welcoming and sweet. Overall, I had such an incredible experience and I so look forward to my future visits!

Jenny N has been cutting my frizzy dry hair for several years now and I LOVE her. She always takes into account my lifestyle when helping me choose a cut because I am way too lazy to do much styling on my own. Inevitably I end up with hair that looks great even if I just put in some product and let it air dry. She is the BEST.

I just had the most wonderful hair appointment with Anne! She listened to what I wanted and also made some amazing suggestions. She is a total sweetheart! I recommend Anne with 5 stars!

I just got a beautiful bayalage blonde makeover by Alyssa! Alyssa is wonderful. She actively listened to my hair history and what I was looking for next. I showed her a Pinterest board of the color/​style I was looking for and she knew right away how it could work for me. My experience was relaxing and fun — and I’m in love with the results. I definitely recommend Alyssa!

A very, very pleasant time with Anne and she gave me a great haircut! Very thorough and professional yet super friendly, personable and human. Anne took me a little earlier than scheduled so I could get to my next appointment, so we can add considerate and caring to the list. She also had a genuine concern for my hair and a passion for what she does. I have no doubt she will thrive at Bella capelli and San Francisco in general! No matter how many times I’ve been to this Salon, the service has always been Amazing! Delia has always given the Best Facials, Waxing and Massages imaginable! Today I had a scalp massage by Kelly that took away my headache immediately! They are a must go to place! You Definitely won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been going to Belli Capelli Salon & Day Spa for years. I love the look and feel of the salon. Delia has been caring for my skin for at least the last 8 years or so. She is very knowledgeable about skincare for all types of skin and complexions. She recommended a skincare régime that has given my skin LIFE!!! Ladies & Gents, believe me when I say the texture, tone and over all look and feel of my skin is absolutely fabulous. I am not flawless but I am gorgeous.

Love Delia and Kelly! Delia is amazing with facials especially eyebrows. Kelly is definitely my go to hair stylist. Loving the friendly environment and always feeling very comfortable with these people.

I’ve said it before, but it really does need to be re-​announced to the world… Delia is beyond amazing. If I could rate her 7 stars, I wouldn’t hesitate or think twice; specifically, I’m referring to skin care, but she is always a fantastic massage therapist; she is a true artist in every way. For a few years, I kind of lost touch with her and settled for specials offered through Groupon, LivingSocial, and AmazonLocal, and finally returned because I knew things didn’t feel right. Don’t get me wrong, I encountered some skilled aestheticians along the way, but I never received the same results. Even if I had received 3 or 4 facials from others, I still would not have walked away with the same rejuvenated skin of just one of her treatments (but I still recommend seeing Delia more than once). I’m really not exaggerating when I say that I trust Delia with my skin more than I do anyone else. If you have a hot date and really want to impress someone, go see Delia the night before; if you have a job interview, see Delia; if you have never had a facial and want results the first time, again, one word: Delia. Also, this goes not only for facials, but also body wraps and other skin care. I have to admit that she has helped me to address stretchmarks and has provided me with a wealth of information; she is also the only person I could ever go to for waxes… I don’t even have to elaborate there. All I’m saying is that she is a true artist when it comes to the body, and she is a joy to talk to.
I realize this may all sound like an over the top review, but it isn’t. Delia’s attention to detail, her expertise, and her likeable personality is precisely why I continue to recommend her each and every time someone I hear of someone looking for a incomparable professional. Her ability to help someone feel as beautiful as they deserve is a gift, and I have nothing but positive things to say about her.

Came here on Saturday for color with the oh so amazing Jenny N. A little bit about myself, I am the pickiest person when it comes to my hair! I’m never satisfied therefore I constantly jump to different salons and stylists. I had no idea what I wanted ie dark, light, ombré, balayage, one color? Yes, I know — horrible. Jenny kept her cool and made her suggestions. She showed me some color swatches and made a suggestion according to my skin tone. I loved Jenny’s artistic vision and trusted her completely to take control.
Fast forward 1.5 hours and BAM! My hair is fresh to death. All thanks to the one and only Jenny.

I’ve been seeing Delia for waxing and other services over the years years, but recently we began a revitalization treatment plan for my skin, and the results are simply amazing! Her expertise is unparalleled and so is her friendly and helpful attitude. I’d recommend Delia to anyone who wants to upgrade their skin care and appearance.
I love Belli Capelli and have enjoyed many of their services over the years. Also, you just can’t beat Aveda products! I highly recommend this business for total beauty care. I live in Alameda and I still come here to have services done.

I saw a listing for hair models looking for pixie cuts. Since my last pixie haircut (which was awesome, but cost an arm and a leg), my hair was looking a bit shaggy. What’s a poor grad student supposed to do? One of my BFFs told me to check out hairmodel listings on Craigslist.
Aliza’s post was one of the few I found. Basically, the consultation, shampoo and cut was free of charge. I was excited when Aliza was able to book me, but still hesitant because, well, that means I play guinea pig.
I got to the salon around 9am, and Aliza took care of me right away. We discussed different cuts I liked (I was going for the Jessica Stroup pixie cut). She immediately had a vision of how the cut should look. Her boss (I think her name is Mary? I can’t remember) came over and talked over the vision before starting on my cut.
She started cutting away, and occasionally checked in with me to see if the length was alright. The thing with haircuts is that I will never be satisfied until I see the end result, so along the way, I was still feeling a bit hesitant. She had her boss check a couple more times, and this discussed some finishing touches Aliza could do to my hair. Mary approved, which was very reassuring as I sat in the chair, still with wet and newly chopped hair.
When Aliza dried and styled my hair, I was actually really impressed with how it came out! It was shorter than my original haircut– which is fine because that was the look I was going for. She even fixed up some areas I asked her to after she styled my hair a bit.
Compared to my last haircut with Arthur Sebastian, I think the only thing I would have preferred was for the layers to blend better in the back– since I have thick, stubborn asian hair, it’s hard to make the layers look wispy rather than abruptly choppy. I’m not worried though, I’m sure in two weeks everything will grow into place.
Overall, my experience at Belli Capelli was awesome. The ambiance is very cozy and relaxing. When I got up to leave, the rest of the staff complimented my hair! To me, this indicates a genuine, welcoming and personable staff.
For an assistant, I’m really impressed with Aliza’s work. She took her time with me (almost two hours!), consulted along the way, and really tried to go for the look I wanted. I think she hit it spot on. I feel like I robbed this girl from getting away from the haircut for free.

Let me start this review off by saying it was extremely easy to book appointments. I was attending my company’s holiday party in SF and this salon was one of the closer ones. It also had one of the higher reviews on Unilocal,so I decided to go for it.
Alyssa was running a little late as hairdressers usually do, so I waited on the bench near the door with my boyfriend. They gave me hot tea and then, when she was ready, I sat down in the chair. I explained I wanted all my hair up, pulled back from my forehead. otherwise, I trusted her to come up with something awesome.
Then, she got to work. Curling and curling all my hair. Then teasing it. More than I’ve ever had anyone tease it. She started pulling it back and pinning it. With pin after pin, it wasn’t staying, so in came the hairspray. The ozone must have hated me that day with all the emissions going up into it.
After about 45 minutes of this, I had my makeup appointment. I booked it back to back so I would be ready for my party in time. Alyssa was not finished and from what I could see in the mirrors, I looked older by about 10 years. Maybe 20. It was a grandma do. :(
Delia pulled me aside to do my makeup. It was nothing special and she left clumps in my eyelashes that I ended up pulling out. The foundation she used made me look like a ghost. Of all the pictures, there is only one that makes me look normal. Seriously could have done it myself. SHOULD have done it myself.
Back to Alyssa. To finish my hair. She said it should only take 5 or 10 minutes, which turned into 20 – 25. It wasn’t looking any better. Had I had the time, I should have made her redo it, but I was about to miss my party, so, when she was done, I thanked her, paid, and left. My hair looked horrible. There are no words to describe how awful it was. I took pictures and will post them. I should have done my own hair and makeup. Oh well. My mistake. I will not be coming back.

Corie does my hair; she is awesome! Literally the first time I walked out of the salon, someone whistled at me. And I’m getting old enough that that doesn’t happen much anymore. I’ve had lonnnng blond hair for most of my life. Corie recently chopped it off in a cute modern long-​ish bob. Love it. My highlights always look natural. Thank you!

2 stars = meh, i’ve experienced better.
Disclaimer: I moved to SF from the midwest two years ago, and I’ve been having a hard time accepting the increase for pricey haircuts (my Aveda salon back home was only $ 35/​cut + tip). I had been going to another Aveda salon in the East Bay for $ 50/​cut for the last year, but have been pretty disappointed with their lack of cleanliness and so-​so cuts. So I decided to splurge on a Master Stylist for $ 75 since I’ve been having trouble with getting volume on top with my long hair.
Stylist was nice and friendly. Place was fine. Just not worth $ 75. There was a hair in the water they offered me. The head/​neck massage was lovely as always at Aveda, but the cut was just mediocre. After the cut, I told my stylist that it felt like she added volume everywhere except where I wanted it on the top of my head (with my round face it’s exactly the opposite of what I wanted). This is worse than the East Bay Aveda experience where I at least feel a bit of bounce in my hair post-​cut. She advised me to use products instead of changing the cut. Not really what I went in and upgraded to a Master Stylist for. meh.

I don’t know about the mani/​pedi service — but as far as hair help goes, this place has saved me more than once!
I called Saturday morning, desperate for some hair help. I got a bad color job over the summer, and all my hair was breaking. . and felt pretty hopeless. I decided to call my old stomping ground — Bella Capelli to see if there was any availability. I knew it was a long shot, but I had my fingers crossed. Alyssa called me back right away and was able to schedule me in for a haircut and styling later that day! It even gets better than that — I was able to book the appointment for a fraction of the regular cost since I was going to be seen by an apprentice stylist.
I was very impressed with the customer service by staff, as well as very satisfied with the haircut that she gave me … I was able to attend my holiday party with a new «do», and a boost to my self-​confidence! Thanks so much!
