Delivery guy is a bit of a scam artist. He demanded a tip and wouldn’t leave until I tipped. He said that I put the option to tip in cash via EAT24. Just checked and there’s no option to do so on the app. Shame on you, delivery guy. Mediocre food. Cucumber salad sucks.

We have ordered from Bamboo a few times and the first couple were good experiences. Our food was delivered in the time frame they gave us and it was good when it came. The last experience we had, however, will make it so that we never order from this restaurant again as we no longer feel safe knowing that their delivery guy knows where we live. My husband ordered food for delivery from Bamboo and when the delivery guy arrived he called from his car and asked us to come down and get the food from he as he was not going to get out of his car since parking was hard. We nicely asked him to come up since that is what food delivery typically does and the guy became extremely aggressive and said he would not come up and that we would not get our food unless we came down. The driver because so aggressive that we called the restaurant to talk to the manager about it who called the delivery guy and told him to park and come up. After that the delivery guy called my husband back and proceeded to yell at him some more.
To top it off the food was TERRIBLE. They got our order completely wrong and didn’t deliver us 2 of the items we ordered, but they (of course) still charged us for it.
Summary — horrible food and very aggressive and rude driver. Do not order delivery from this place unless you want the driver to harass you.

I got the lunch special here & it was very good and cheap. The portions were good size, enough for two! Not only that, but the décor is very nice and welcoming. I recommend it to everyone.

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had actually makes me a little nauseous thinking about it. And I even ordered their specials sesame chicken and orange chicken to be safe. Not good, oh god I have to stop thinking about it.

Nice interior. I like the food and location.
Recommended: Eggplant with delicious black bean sauce.

I haven’t had good, proper Chinese food in a long time & Bamboo Restaurant satisfied my every need. My boyfriend and I were tired, tipsy, and hungry after driving all day and seeing a late show in the area. We didn’t want to go out and it was late. Bamboo Restaurant delivers! Thank God. Okay, so here’s the scoop–
The food is fabulous. We ordered the General Meatless Chicken, Veggie Fried Rice, Vegetarian Eggrolls & Potstickers, and Agedashi Tofu (or something similar). My boyfriend also got an additional chicken dish for himself. All of this cost us a mere $ 45! And it was delivered to our door! This blew my mind. The Potstickers and the Meatless Chicken were my favorite. My boyfriend, who is a devout omnivore, even appreciated the taste of the faux chicken.
The place is a gem. We will definitely order here again when we need some late night grub in San Francisco.

If I can rate this restaurant no stars, I would. My husband and I came out of our swing shift at work and decided to visit this restaurant for some take out. There was a private party going on but the restaurant’s service people were outside of the establishment and said that they can still take orders.
Huge mistake!!! They totally messed up our order by giving us totally different orders? We ordered sesame beef, hunan fish and buddha delight with some brown rice and instead we got Chicken! The food tasted like it had been sitting out for a while, the rice they gave us came from the bottom of the cooker, very hard!
They are a consistent failure in getting orders right. Make sure you check! Check! Check!

We were sick all day after having seaweed salad, sushi (which didn’t look or taste fresh), and over fried veggie rolls.

First impression: tiny hole-​in-​the wall joint with heavily stained menus.
FOOD = Think take-​out style within your budget. I had chicken fried rice which came with both dark and white meat for under $ 8.
SERVICE = Server was exceptionally kind. She even joked with us for a while and provided peanuts for pre-​meal munching. Food came out quickly.
AMBIANCE = Affordable furniture and fixtures that have existed beyond their typical life. Maybe clean???
Overall decent food for college students, quick bite, hangover remedy, lazy day, and families.

Bamboo has been a staple of my Chinese food fix and they’ve expanded their menu over the years. Extremely fast delivery and the food is great for those nights you just don’t feel like getting down in the kitchen! Rockstar operation going on there, will be back for hopefully years to come. Thanks Bamboo!

A friend and I ordered delivery from this place on a rainy day in SF. We ended up waiting over 2 hours for food, so that wasn’t great but the delivery person was very friendly, as was the woman that answered the phone.
We had an order of the chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef, and sweet and sour chicken.
The fried rice was a very simple rendition, but the chicken that came with it was super fatty and not very flavorful.
The Mongolian beef was probably the best dish, but even so it was a bit more oily and greasy than I am accustomed too.
The sweet and sour chicken was cooked decently, but the sauce itself was a little too vinegary for my taste and not really sweet.
Overall, this place has low prices for the area and friendly staff, but I wasn’t very impressed with the quality of food.

Great meal. Try the salt and pepper fish or honey walnut shrimp. My friend enjoyed the general chaos chicken. Great service

I come here every week and today me and my boyfriend had the worst service from the waitress named Nina in the morning. We came in on Sunday @ 1pm. She comes to our table and the first thing she says angry «you forgot tip last time.» And we remember not tipping because her service is so bad and told her she’s doing the same thing right now. She asks us what our problem is.
Excuse me, what’s your hunger for tip? You have poked my eye with the menu MANY TIMES I ordered and was the reason we don’t come in when you’re working.
Good food though! Hire better, mature morning workers!!!

Wow, I used to do delivery only from here (4 years ago), and now I live just a few blocks away! So their lunch specials are good, huge portions. Green beans with beef mmmm so good. They tend to be pretty empty inside, too, so you can expect to get your Chinese-​American food fairly quickly. They do have some authentic dishes here are there like roast duck, though I have yet to try it. Their prices are average for the area, though the portions here are huge and well worth compared to other options in the area.
Also, ordering through the phone it’s way faster than using Eat24 (no matter the distance from the restaurant, it has always taken me 45min — 2 hours when using this service).

Ordered the hot & sour soup because I got my wisdom teeth taken out and I was craving a savory soup. The soup was okay, they def give you a lot of tofu, black fungus and bamboo, which is a good thing! But due to not being able to chew, I actually wished there were less! (Now that’s not something you hear everyday, wanting less ingredients?!? xD)
I had to make the $ 15 min for delivery so I ordered my brother some fried rice and chicken wings. I wasn’t able to enjoy those because of the wisdom teeth extraction but my brother really enjoyed it.
Delivery was super quick but then again I literally live 2 minutes away but just didn’t feel well enough to leave the apt. The price for the food is pretty decent, my final bill with tip was less than $ 25! I will definitely order again from here.

Ordered crab Rangoon and sesame chicken. It was pretty good, but at the same time I was on the 420.
Disappointed that my driver bugged me about giving him a tip. Pretty rude.

Ordered from eat24 delivery from this restaurant. Spent $ 50 for two. Girlfriend got food poisoning from crab rangoon, which was also very doughy and not crispy, luckily i had only a small taste and had slight nausea, she ate a few and threw up all night.
Salmon sashimi was not amazing but not horrible. The California roll was edible, but tasted very lemony and there was no lemon piece? Strange.
Beef chow fun was horrible and inedible.
Dinner plate — Katsu was overcooked ate about 2 bites before discarding. Gyoza was too doughy, more doughy than Chinese pot stickers even. Not crispy at all. Did not taste fresh. Even the free soup they gave us was disgusting.

This is a review for anyone that places the orders for an office lunch/​needs catering.
I’ve ordered from here a few times for my office (for our weekly lunches) and they are always either on time or early! If you ever try to get catering down town you know to place orders for ½ an hour to an hour before when you actually want it delivered because places are never on time. I totally get why people are late, busy restaurants and then multiple deliveries… but when a delivery is on time or early special praise should be given. Plus the delivery men are always so nice.
The food is also really really great. Thank you again for being awesome!
