I feel an obligation to update the reader. Our beloved teacher passed away unexpectedly over a year ago. We continue to gather for classes at the studio for adult ballet on Saturday mornings at 11am.

This is THE greatest ballet school for children. Miss NAtalia is a fantastic teacher, has great excercises for children and uses the perfect combination of softness and discipline. Her ability to engage a bunch of toddlers’ and preschoolers and keep them intrigued should be envied by any parent. I highly recommend this school. It is small, comfortable for young children, and doesn’t have the rigidity and coldness of other schools, while teaching the same level and love of ballet. This is what I wish I had as a child.

Now I am screwing us all because now everyone will know about this place, but this studio in the is one of the only studios that has beginning ballet classes for adults…3 times a week! The beginning classes are not pre-ballet, but if you have some experience, you will get along fine. The instructors are gentle and the classes small, so you don’t have to feel like a total dork if you don’t get the combinations right away. It’s very casual and the students are fairly friendly; it’s not a very competitive environment, which is really nice. They also have«character dance» classes for more advanced students, and also a Weds. night class for advanced students. In addition to adult classes, they also have children’s classes that focus a lot of self-esteem building, musicality, and body positioning. The kids are so cute… they always look like they’re having a great time.
