Anchorage Square Parking Garage

Is there a negative. Here we are celebrating fleet week in SF with family and guess what. The manager and security harass us because we setup an ezup for some shade. First they up charge us $ 50 for a «special event», there is no notices stating that we can not do so. Only after we are all setup do they pull out signs stating no tailgating and bbq. We were not bbq nor did we want to stir up trouble just wanted a shady spot for our kids to watch the air show. After 10 years of coming here and paying their price gouging fees they give us a hard time.
The only reason they have the ability to complain in the first place is because of the blood my family has shed to allow them to whine without consiquences.
We are here to celebrate our freedom and theirs!
This place is owned and run by people that do not share American pride and spirit.

Security guards are a joke. They hire ex-​cons/​criminals to work here. We got deal online and guy said to come down with vehicle instead of helping me when I asked. When we came down he was gone (probably committing a crime near bye) and said he would be taking his sweet time to come help us leave. Scam alert scam alert this place is garbage. Can I give zero stars?

This place is ridiculous. $ 2.00 per 15 min??? Read it before you park! We were going to watch the comedy show at Cobb at 745, so of course we parked here at 5 to get dinner before the show. We were told beforehand that Cobb would validate 3 hours for $ 10. Sure, good deal. But we stayed until 930, and since its $ 2.00 per 15 min, we ended up having to pay $ 22 for 4.5 hours.
Parking and paying almost beats the fun out of coming out here. The meters also rip you off, when you go to add more, they become 0 again. Instead of adding additional time to what you have left. Ugh! Thumbs down SF.
I’ve spent $ 60 on parking today alone

25 bucks for a whole day. It was protected by a security guard. Not too happy about the price, but I guess you get what you pay for.

At $ 2 per 20 minutes, this is the cheapest parking in the area, except for the street. Clean, safe and well lit.
Two stars because there are signs for validation, but I asked a few places if they validate — can’t find a place.

Great parking location for near by tourist attractions — especially the piers and Ghirardalli square. Many of the nearby businesses will validate part of your parking cost down to $ 14 a day price. Comparing to the neighboring garages’ costs of $ 25-​$ 35 it’s a bargain. If you like walking and already had your $ 14 validation I’d stay parked here and walk up the hill to north beach and even china town. Exercise, views and italuan or Chinese food warped together. It’s not an easy climb but worth the effort.

Do not park here! Parked here tonight on an anniversary date with the hubby… Went to pay for parking and went to swipe the credit card in the machine, swiped again, kept getting an error message– finally just had to pay cash. We got the little white card that you need to exit, went to exit the garage, and the machine ate our card and said «error.» Had to call the attendant, attendant comes out and opens machine, retrieves card, and said you’re time stamp has expired, however we’d only been there for two hours, and he kept trying to point out it’s in military time– ok we get it, graduate degrees between the two of us enable us to understand and compute military time. So he would not let us leave– he insisted that we had to pay an ADDITIONAL $ 36 maximum in order to leave, so on top of the $ 16 we had essentially lost due to technical failure of their machines– we would have to lose an additional $ 36, thereby making the TWO hour date we spent there $ 52!!!

Well to start, according to other Unilocalers, the view on the top floor is awesome! Darn I didn’t see that, I just parked in the first space I could see. Nice and dark in there.
What’s frustrating is there is a big In-​N-​Out logo on the front of the structure, but In-​N-​Out does not validate. It’s Sugar however does. Ran by there because we needed something for a friend anyway.
My biggest problem with this place, is we validated and almost drove out with a non validated price. Typically I just say OKAY and go. However I was with someone who double checked and noticed it. Shame! I would advise making sure you check before you leave.

I would be very cautious about parking here. I parked at Anchorage Square for only a few hours to bike the Golden Gate Bridge with my mom, and my car was broken into. The car parked next to mine also had its window shattered! The signs posted when you enter the lot say «Cameras and Security Patrols are Used,» but that is only when you enter or exit the parking lot, there are NO CAMERAS on any of the actual parking levels.
We stayed at a hotel only a couple of blocks away so I moved my car and valeted there. I asked the head of security for the hotel and he said that break-​ins are very common in this lot, and that hotels that previously used this lot to valet cars have gone to other places because too often cars were being broken into or vandalized. So a word of warning, stay away from this parking garage!

Pulled in at 4:15pm and left at 8:30pm.
It cost $ 32.00!
I know better than to park here because of their expensive rates – but, I was short on time and decided to go for the convenience of being very close to the restaurant that I was headed towards. And, since I was being treated to dinner, it kind of worked in my favor.

All parking at Fisherman Wharf is very expensive but we had discount with Segway Electric Tours and pay only $ 10 max. The parking space is very tight but the road is wide as compare to other indoor parking. They have restroom at the side but you need a combination number to enter. They should provide this free to people who park at this facilities. I am not sure where we can get this number to use the restroom.

Find relief with 28 474

Parking is expensive at $ 32 a day but it’s cheaper that valet parking at one of the surrounding hotels. The parking structure seems relatively safe, it’s not too dirty, and the urine smell isn’t too bad. None of the businesses in the complex below the parking structure will validate parking so ignore the sign that says parking is validated.

Pros:
Conveniently located in the heart of San Fran’s bustling, fishy smelling tourist trap.
Cons:
The shops below the garage DO NOT validate. We went to three different shops (Starbucks, LIDS and Walgreens) and were rejected. $ 32, CASH at check out.
Lessons learned:
Bite the bullet and pay the full price, the best parking spots are at the top of the parking structure. The top floor is also a good spot for photo ops of the SF City skyline. The alleyway restrooms on the street level (next to In-​N-​Out) require that you type in «the passcode of the day» to open the door, LIDS gave me the passcode after purchasing over $ 20 in merchandise.
It’s the least they can do.

Do NOT park your car here. It is expensive even for SF and not safe and, despite the signs about validations, virtually no merchant validates for this place. Starbucks, In-​And-​Out both said they don’t validate for it. The list was like four dicey shops. Worse, our car was broken in and everything stolen from it including my grandson’s pillow pet, DS and backpack and my daughter’s new running shoes. The response from the garage? THEY CHARGED US $ 32 to park. Not even a comp after the car was ransacked on their watch.

Driving around San Francisco, looking for parking, I saw a sign for a garage advertising all-​day parking for $ 32. «$ 32?! Screw you, suckers!» I said as I pulled into the Anchorage Garage.
A day of fun and several hours later, I put my parking ticket in the machine. I owed…$ 32. Does that come with lube?
Sure, the garage is clean, nice and in a great location. But at those prices, I’d rather just give it to the Bush Man to watch for an afternoon. Really, though, head down Embarcadero past Pier 39 and you’ll find many other far cheaper parking options.

Very convenient location in the Fisherman’s Wharf district and validation is available.

Its pretty pricey parking here but its so convenient. Its clean and not scary parking here either. Only the faintest odor of pee when you walk down the stairs.
Centrally located near the Wharf so your never to far away from where you want to visit.
This is my favorite parking garage when visiting the Wharf.
