History

Established in 2009.

Anchor Movers began with an idea my partner and I had, while working as Furniture Movers for a Valencia Street antique furniture store. We had been moving furniture for the Man, and getting no where. We wanted to strike out on our own and offer a more personalized moving experience. We’re committed to the idea of small local business. We want to relate directly to the customer and neither work for, or be the boss behind the desk. At Anchor Movers we do our best, because we really do care.

We hired these guys to move us from San Francisco to Hayward and they were very cordial and helpful and efficient. Would totally recommend their services FOR SURE!

We had a really difficult time finding movers who didn’t have a lot of extra charges. And, to be honest, Unilocal is no help in this area – why does no-​one post what they paid? All the reviews seem to be written by the moving companies themselves. Anchor offered me no incentives to post a review, which is exactly why I’m writing one. They arrived on time, were courteous and friendly, and moved all our stuff quickly (especially when unloading – it look less than two hours to unload a 16′ van). While a couple of shelves got scraped up, there was no major damage. We drove our own van and paid $ 60 per hour.

I hired these guys to help me move into my new place in San Francisco’s Bayview District. They arrived on time, were very professional and made sure to be extra careful with my old antique furniture! Best of all they are the cheapest movers in town!
