Amuse Bouche Private Dining

My parents friends bought them an anniversary dinner from Amuse Bouche. We had no idea what we were in for. 13 courses (not including three «suprise» courses that came out) that were super creative and exquisitely presented. When we looked at the menu (they put them at each seat before you eat) I couldn’t even imagine what some of these dishes would taste like-​the flavors and ingredients used together were so unique. Each dish was better than the one before it. One of our courses was a «salad» which was foams made with radicchio and romaine on top of delicious, grassy olive oil with fresh pepper. We all kind of laughed at it, but then we tried it. The flavors were really sharp and intense. I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience, from the serivce, to the wine pairings, and of course, the amazing food. One of my dining companions said he ate at Gary Danko last week and that Amuse Bouche blew that out of the water. I think that about says it.
I’m guessing that the one person who gave them a bad rating is a pissed off ex girlfriend?

A run of the mill «chef»… this one could use a good toothbrush.

This guy, Chef Jake, is one AMAZING chef. I booked a party with him, for a 10 course meal, 8 of us. He chatted with me about foods and flavors I like, and dislike, then he built a custom menu, just for MY event. He makes up all of the recipes, so the foods we enjoyed, we have never had before. He capitalizes on the flavor of all of the foods he uses. I will probably never experience the burst of flavor that he provides in his foods. There is an optional wine pairing, I HIGHLY recommend you let Chef Jake do your special event dinner and let him choose the wine. This guy is FANTASTIC!!! ONE BRILLIANT CHEF!!!
