Amor do Samba Entertainment is a San Francisco Samba dance and music company dedicated to promoting Afro-Latin music and dance through the performing arts. Deeply rooted in San Francisco’s cultural diversity, we offer samba dance shows to live bands including genres such as Bossa Nova, Funk, Batucada Samba, Samba Reggae Axe and Carioca Funk!
From corporate to exclusive events we have dazzled diplomats representing over twenty three countries including the General Consulate of Brazil. We celebrate weddings, birthdays and cultural events with our beautiful professional dancers that captivate the hearts of your guests with their love of dance, exotic costumes, and choreography.
History
Established in 2011.
Amor do Samba Entertainment was founded by Artistic Director Tanilee Amor. Tanilee has produced events in Los Angeles, and San Francisco, United States, Lima, Peru and Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Tanilee studied dance at UCLA (World Arts and Cultures, Cum Laude) and has studied Afro-Latin dance forms in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and Belize. Tanilee has dedicated a life time to the performing arts both as an dancer, artist, and choreographer, as well as behind the scenes as a producer and administration roles in the arts including the UCLA Center for Performing Arts, San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival and Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts.

Business Owner
Tanilee Amor is founder, CEO and artistic director of Amor Do Samba Entertainment, a samba dance company established in 2011 and performing in the San Francisco Bay Area, and Mexico. Tanilee is dedicated to business developement, strategic partnerships, public relations, marketing and operations of Amor do Samba Entertainment. She currently performs with Yabas Dance Company, Jambalaya Collective and teaches Cardio Samba at RAE studios in the heart of San Francisco. Tanilee studied dance at UCLA (Cum Laude) with a specialization in Afro — Latin dance and art as a social change agent. She has studied Afro-Latin forms in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and Belize. With a parallel career and decade in finance and operations for social enterprise organizations, she holds a Master in Public Administration and International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, a school of Middlebury.
