We are an LBE (Local Business Entity) certified company located in the heart of San Francisco, servicing clients throughout the Bay Area as well as the continental United States. It could have been a great 5 star experience. It started off very professional with quick estimate, fast scheduling and excellent quality work on refinishing steel panels at one of our buildings.
Things went down when Andrew started to literally stalking me at my work demanding the payment when he was originally informed that it would take two weeks to process his invoice (we are a commercial client and 30 day terms are common). He got paid in 10 days, but the creepy feeling when a vendor shows up at your doorstep several times with no warning keeps me from referring him to any other building managers.
5 stars for the work, 1 star for premature creepy collection attempts.

After killing the paint behind my Viking range, I wanted a simple stainless plate to bridge all the way up to the hood. Easier said than done. After trying a few retail options unsucessfully I reached out to AMFK after finding them here on Unilocal.Glad I did. Andrew came by my house in Potrero, measured everything up and then delivered a perfectly coordinating piece of brushed plate and had it installed in under an hour. Awesome work. Glad I found them!

This company produces the highest quality product at very competitive prices. AMFK designed and manufactured a series of beautiful stainless steel handrails and banisters for the main stairwell in our home. From the first day they respond to your request for a quote, to the onsite visit, to the installation day… they are true professionals and a pleasure to work with. Andy and Jake were great to interact with, highly responsive, knowledgeable, and very personable. I have found my one and only stainless steel vendor for all future projects.

We needed our elevator cab refinished and before I even knew it, Andrew had it done and for a great price!
Other metal fabricators and the such didn’t even return phone calls. Andrew is such a perfectionist, that he’s coming out for a third visit to do some touch up. We needed the fine vertical brushing and the steel looks as new without any disassembly. WOW!
I can’t recommend him enough. I just wish all trades were this way. The world would be a better place.

Stainless steel often gives off a very sterile feel, similar to that you’d get in a hospital operating room. I think that’s why people tend to avoid its use for home furnishings. Worse still is the idea of dragging one of those stainless steel file cabinets at your office home with you… AMFK Stainless Steel however is a game changer in the stainless steel business, providing details that bring a softness to steel that make it appropriate for the modern home and business. I’ve always been impressed with these guys; it’s unfortunate that stainless steel lasts FOREVER otherwise, i’d be coming back to them more often. They well-​deserve a recommendation though. Ask for Andrew Kim for excellent customer service and attention to your vision.

I got a chance to talk to the owner, Andrew. The guy’s a visionary. He’s taken me, someone who would never have seen a stainless steel counter top/​bar combination in his life and made it a really plausible reality. I’m going to definitely come back for some real stainless steel setups when I get my new house!
