It’s not very often that you can watch a play a few feet away from the stage and the actors. And free at that! We went to see our friend perform in a play staged and directed by ACT Fellows in this theater on a Friday night. We got to the theater around 7:30 pm, as suggested by the theater’s Marketing Director. Seats are first-come, first-served, so we reserved front row seats. The theater is small and intimate(less than 100 seats from the looks of it), so it’s best to arrive early. There’s not a bad seat in the house though. The theater has a small concessions lobby area where you can purchase beer, wine, cocktails and snacks. I purchased a bottle of Boont Amber Ale(yummy) which they transferred in a plastic cup. It’s nice that they allowed people to bring their cup or wine and beer into the theater! My husband had to get a burrito to go from a taqueria nearby, and they also allowed him to eat in the lobby area. We didn’t stay for the talk afterward with the director and actors, as it was getting really late, but we had a great time seeing a nicely acted and interesting play here. Hope to see another play here soon!

This is my first Unilocal review and well deserved. My boyfriend and I had 20’s themed party to attend and he suggested this place — GREATIDEA. Not only were the costumes amazing but the staff was very knowledgeable — not only what looks good on you but what actually goes with the time period — and made it a great experience for us to pick out our costume. We paid a flat fee and got the entire costume — accessories and all — which I totally appreciate. No nickel and dime-ing for the little things that add up if you need to buy them. All of this made the experience totally worth making an appointment and the costumes were KILLIN! Thanks again to Kelly and Valentine — We love the ACT Costume Shop!
