Glad I found this place… treatment worked well for me…
As for the people with negative reviews: I understand this treatment might not work for everyone (everyone’s body is different) but some people expect their symptoms to magically disappear after a few treatments– without them changing their life style which caused their symptoms to appear in the first place… You will need need to also improve your diet, work out, manage stress, etc along with treatment! :)

This place gave me hope and I appreciate that. The customer service was excellent. The experience was incredible. Unfortunately, the treatment did not work for my family. But, that is the risk one takes and many of us will do anything to get rid of allergies forever. I will add that my son had *very* unusual behavior following his treatments. I read one other person on Unilocal reviews also experienced this. It could be coincidence, one will never know.

I’ve tried AAT at another clinic and found short term relief. I decided to try Advanced Allergy Solutions because it was closer to where I live. Unfortunately I had a really bad experience. My practitioner was Shauna McCulloch. I am not sure if she had just been trained in the system but she seemed very uncomfortable doing it. She kept having to redo the tests, and seemed frustrated. My wrist was throbbing my the time I left. I was pretty patient at first thinking maybe she was still a newbie… but then she started saying to me well sometimes these conditions are just chronic you should meditate, do yoga, and drink soup. Ummm… what? And no she was not just trying to make small talk. In between her huffs and puffs trying to figure out how to do it, she was basically saying just de-​stress and your illness will go away. So then I asked her how does AAT work? Simple question… One question. I wasn’t looking for an in depth science answer. Her response… we can book a phone session and I can explain it (that I would have to pay for). We finished the session 15 minutes early and she couldn’t or wouldn’t answer a simple question like that? Didn’t make any sense. Never went back and I felt no different. Waste of money.

This place is totally awesome.
I sometimes suffer from a crazy red rash when I drink alcohol, and I could never pinpoint which type of alcohol it was coming from. Sometimes red wine or beer, sometimes rum, almost always tequila. I’ve also dealt with digestive problems for many years now.
I was recommended by a good friend of mine to try AAS because it seemed to help her. In my very first visit, I came up sensitive to sugar, glutamates, my own digestive enzymes, diary, gluten, etc. My first treatment was done for sugar, and when I drank tequila a few days later I wasn’t red at all. Since then I’ve done 2 more treatments and it truly is helping. Just recently I got the digestive enzyme treatment and my stomach feels better. I also sometimes experience bad allergies from pollen/​mold, but I haven’t experienced anymore stuffy or runny noses since the treatment.
I’ve done all of my treatments with Emily because she’s awesome– very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave me great recommendations for additional holistic treatments such as acupuncture, which has totally helped as well.

I guess when you have been miserable for a long time, have tried the allergy-​shot approach, and have constricted your life in a rather desperate attempt to feel better… and you still feel bad much of the time… then you keep your ears perked for treatments that cannot harm you and just might help.
A fellow allergy-​sufferer was so helped by this treatment that I simply had to try it. Food, dust, and airborne allergies meant I needed to do almost all my own cooking and sleep in my own dust-​free bedroom. Moving in the world had become like moving in a minefield… I never knew when the slightest thing would trigger a dreadful headache (my most common allergy symptom) that might last 10 days and not respond to pain relievers.
In the first, hour-​long appointment at this clinic, the diagnostics showed I was reactive to half the categories of common triggers. No wonder I had been so easily triggered into misery! For over 50 years, for example, I had interpreted my waking-​up misery as meaning I wasn’t a morning person. Now I wake up feeling fine most mornings. Getting out of bed is enjoyable since I feel good and look forward to a day that is free of my old «minefield» vigilance. My husband laughs that suddenly, after 46 years of marriage, he must learn to live with a person who is happy in the morning!
The actual treatments are simple, non-​invasive, fast, affordable, and soothing. A massage tool is rubbed up and down the spine while a cuff on my arm carries a simulation of the trigger I’m being treated for at that session. What could be simpler?
I especially like the fact that the staff makes no promises, exerts no pressure on me to get treated, listens amazingly well, and maintains a calm attuned respect for me at all times. They are utterly devoted to helping me feel well. Their attitude: ‘many people are helped by this, and we will be happy for you if you are one of the people who are helped.‘
It’s reasonable to expect that you might need 5 – 7 treatments before you know if this method is a good match for you. At the same time, the staff recommends you only get the number of treatments you need to achieve the degree of wellness you want.
If you are reading this review, you are probably suffering from allergies with some kind of symptom like digestive distress, skin rashes, headaches, postnasal drip, coughing, sneezing. Do yourself a favor and visit this clinic before you lose any more of your valuable life and energy to managing your misery.

I was dealing with stomach issues for a long time, GERD, IBS, lactose intolerance, gluten sensitivity, etc. I had seen many different doctors and tried different medications, various diets, herbal supplements and anything people would suggest. It was getting to a point where almost anything I ate would upset my stomach. It was really stressful to plan my entire day around food. My friend recommended AAS and I was skeptical at first but it turned out to be the most effective treatment I’ve had for these issues. It’s been several months since my first treatment and I’ve been able to eat dairy, wheat, spicy food and so many other things that used to hurt me. I feel amazing; healthy and happy! The staff is great, nice office, quick and easy treatments. Emily is great to talk to if you have detailed questions.

I have a hard time wrapping my mind around how the technology works, but I’ve got to say… it really does!
I have had gluten and dairy sensitivities as well as seasonal allergies for quite some time. While I still don’t eat gluten, I do not react to contamination in restaurants anymore. My seasonal allergies have significantly improved. I used to be stuffy all the time and after being treated, this has really improved. So much so that I didn’t even realize how stuffy my nose was until I did the treatments. I have not yet been able to tolerate all dairy without eczema flare ups, but have been able to tolerate a bit of high quality goat cheese/​butter without too many problems.
A few things to keep in mind:
1. Go in for the long haul (plan on going for 10 – 13 sessions). Of course this varies depending on the person, but I had a lot of things that my body was «allergic» to — the more treatments I got, the better I felt.
2. If you have skin issues, expect your skin to break out. Mine did, but afterwards my skin tone/​texture improved significantly.
3. Don’t expect miracles. It’s hard to explain, but I just overall feel better! Even though I still cannot eat gluten and most dairy, I am SO happy that I went to see them! I feel better, I’m less stuffy, my skin has improved and I don’t have cross contamination with gluten at restaurants anymore.
4. If you’re considering seeing an allergist, see AAS first. I saw an allergist first and have been doing sublingual tolerization drops for grass/​trees, but I really wish I had gone to AAS first, gotten those treatments and then gone to the allergist if I needed to.
5. Yes, it is a bit of an investment, but keep in mind that Western medicine did not diagnose my gluten/​dairy intolerances. I spent a lot of money out of pocket (even though I have fantastic health insurance) for allergy tests (skin and blood) and now allergy drops that I will have to take for 2 – 3 years. In the long run, you may actually spend less money going to AAS then an allergist.
I have seen Denise (a Naturopathic Doctor) and Emily (and acupuncturist) and think they’re both so amazing. Lastly, if you’re a type A person such as myself, the BioMat was an awesome way to relax and meditate. Highly recommend it!

I recently moved to San Francisco (4÷1÷14) and have been staying in a very moldy house. Within a week, I was waking up with migraines, sore throats and had full body hives daily. This went on for almost 10 days. It completely went away after I went to see Christy at Advanced Allergy Solution. I expected it to take a few treatments– but after 1 treatment, I was better. I am SO unbelievable grateful to have had this place. Nothing else was working and the allergies were ruining my quality of life here. Highly recommend this place.

I’ve suffered from a slew of allergies all my life. Some of them have gone away as I’ve gotten older, only to be replaced by new ones. The sessions I’ve had so far with Advanced Allergy Solutions have allowed me to finally be able to breathe significantly better (allergic to mold and dust mites, which in the Bay Area is just impossible to avoid), as well as reducing the severity of some of my food concerns. Now, I still have a ton of things that need to be «worked» on, but I’m utterly thrilled with the treatments so far. The staff is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the treatments non-​invasive. Thank you to everyone there for helping me experience life a little more fully!

I am one of those «it worked when nothing else would» stories. The past 5 years have been a crazy ride for my health, starting with adrenal failure and bad rashes. My rashes were so bad that I wasn’t even recognizable at times. Over the years I tried meds from my doctor (that made me worse), treatments and tests from a holistic doctor (which helped but I had to visit two times a week at $ 250 a pop) to completely overhauling my life, how I handled stress and what I ate. It all slowly was helping, but I still felt fatigued every day. I started to have bad asthma attacks regularly (I had asthma as a child but no issues as an adult). The past year I began to have terrible allergies and would sneeze uncontrollably. I felt that my body was so run down and I was feeling desperate to find something to help me. I was told by a friend to check out Advanced Allergy Solutions and I am so glad I did.
I’ve gone through 6 treatments now. I’ve been treated for dust mites, mold, pollen, my own histamine & mucus, glutamates, and sugar. I had never considered that my issues were not food related, but sure enough, my skin is looking amazing (people have literally been asking what I’ve been doing differently), I am not coughing and my sneezing and runny nose are only an issue 10% of the time (when I started treatments at AAS it was 100% of the time). For me, it is a world of difference. My energy levels are back up, I don’t feel easily irritated and run down everyday.
Some days I leave the clinic and start to feel amazing immediately. Some days I’ve left and will have a flare up for a day and then it subsides. Over time I feel better after each treatment. Even though I am sensitive to 20 allergens, it does not mean that I need to get treated for every single one. It has been explained to me by Denise that after treating several allergens your immune system will begin to strengthen and your body will be able to better manage each allergen. I have never felt talked into or pressured to continue to come in. In fact I’ve been told to, «come back when you need us».
This treatment is not a ‘miracle’. Some of the reviews I see on here I don’t think people have realistic expectations. When I was tested and it showed I am «sensitive» to around 18 allergens. «Sensitive to». I’ve paid $ 500 or so to do blood and stool tests to see what I am allergic to in the past and they showed that I am not allergic to anything, but my results from the lab showed that I was sensitive to many things (such as wheat, soy, dairy, chocolate). My initial testing from AAS was $ 179 and showed the same results plus gave me insight to environmental allergens bothering me. I think their prices are way more affordable that what I was spending on seeing my regular doctor or my holistic doctor and I’m not being being sold supplements and other meds in addition.

I have had severe allergies for God only knows how long. I have been getting immunotherapy for over 10 years, recently had rhinoplasty, and finally found Christy, a gifted acupuncturist who recommended Advanced Allergy Solutions.
As skeptical as I was based on the lack of real results, I decided to give AAS a try. What a life changer!!!
I went from skeptic to believer in the first session. Dynamic muscle testing nailed all the allergies I had. The results were not surprising, since skin testing had already given me a very good idea of my allergies.
The part of this treatment that blew me away was the ‘re-​training’ of the body not to react to allergens. The results were immediate. The same day I got my first treatment I was able to breathe all night and wake up clear the next morning. It’ll take 7 – 10 sessions to treat the various allergies.
BUT the good news is that once trained, my system ‘remembers’ and the allergies are treated for more or less permanent relief. Of course if I get bombarded with an allergen, I might need a ‘touch up’ but its immensely huge to know that this is not a drawn out approach that takes years.
It felt like walking into the medical ward of the starship Enterprise, getting treated and walking out knowing I was essentially ‘cured’ of the allergen being treated. Kinda like programming my brain to learn Russian in a single session!
I won’t knock traditional allergy approaches because I have benefitted tremendously. Immunotherapy helped improve my lung function. Rhinoplasty removed the blockage that caused build up of mucus. AAS is the clincher in treating the root of the problem and re-​training my system not to react the way it has been.
So bye bye to low energy from my immune system consistently fighting. Hello to great health.
Don’t get me wrong, good health comes with all the practices of healthy eating, lifestyle, exercise, plenty of rest, etc. AAS’s holistic approach simply recognizes that the body will tell you what it is allergic to and their feedback process using electrical pulses ‘talks back’ to the body to simmer down and not perceive the allergens as a threat all the time. Effectively retraining it back to good health minus the (over)allergic reactions.

My oldest daughter was treated here several times in 2011 for various food and environmental allergies. I honestly can’t say that any of the treatments made much difference, until the sugar treatment. After the sugar treatment, the child turned immediately into a monster — unable to concentrate, focus or behave. This is totally unusual for this child. I called the practitioner the next day but she said she has never heard of such a reaction, and it couldn’t have been the sugar treatment. But the monster behavior didn’t start until right after the sugar treatment! The practitioner said that it must’ve been something I fed my child or some other new stressor in her situation. Nothing else had changed, and we eat leftovers during the week, so she was eating the same foods she had eaten most of the week (we don’t eat sugar either anyway). Desperate for help, I found a different ZYTO practitioner who had an opening the next week. I took her there, and the ZYTO practitioner said that the child’s detox pathways were totally blocked, so she couldn’t properly detox the sugar treatment. The ZYTO practitioner opened up her pathways and the child’s monster-​like behavior resolved immediately.
I think in general that biocommunication modalities (Bioset, ZYTO, etc) can be very powerful. I just don’t think these people understand enough about them to be in practice. If you do have a bad outcome like we did, the practice that helped us resolve it was Cypress Natural Medicine in Palo Alto, Dr. Gunst.
I am also of the strong opinion that for any computerized allergy treatment to hold over a long period of time, you have to fix the root cause of the allergy, which is the gut. Usually this involves changing the diet and cleaning up dysbiotics in a stool test.
Note: I have avoided posting this review earlier for two reasons: 1. These are super nice people. 2. I didn’t feel like I knew enough about Biocommunication to offer an opinion. Now that I have successfully used it for the last 3+ years, I have a much better understanding.

My experience is that I went 10 times and found no improvement. 10 times is enough to have noticed something, but there was no improvement that I could pin to these sessions. I actually wound up feeling pretty silly for putting faith in this, especially given the cost.
I am very glad that some people are finding relief. My guess is that these reviews are skewed toward positive. The staff is so kind that I was reluctant to write this.

I thought I would write an update because someone messaged me asking if I was still feeling the benefits from treatments here because she couldn’t make up her mind to try it.
Let me start by saying, I moved to NYC and with my new found freedom I went a little crazy kind of binging on everything since nothing really gave me issues. I mean how could I not? Even if I ate out three meals a day every day of the week, I still wouldn’t have eaten at all the restaurants in two years haha Anyways, when I was back for Thanksgiving last year I made two appointments. To my delight, my body was fine with gluten and a lot of major players that were big issues for me. I did however, have sugar come up again. I am pretty in tune with my body and had a feeling it was the cause of discomfort when I indulged in sweet treats. In total disclosure, I had been living in dessert heaven OVER indulging at NYC hot spots. So this was no big surprise and makes total sense. I cleaned up my diet and joined NYCSC for gym time and in general felt better.
Fast forward to today where I saw the wonderful Emily Shore. Sugar and acids still passed from last treatment. Coffee came up but I decided to treat a biochemical issue that was priority. May/​June I had been consuming large amounts of coffee. To make matters worse, I bought an espresso machine haha So really, I’m not shocked it came up as I had been overwhelming my body with it recently and on and off through the years. I have a love/​hate relationship with coffee and right now I’m not drinking it, so its not a big deal.
If you are having trouble deciding to take the plunge and try AAS, the only thing I can say is, just go for it! What’s the absolute worst thing that could happen… You feel exactly the same? I know and you are out the money spent :-(On that note– Everyone’s body will respond differently. Since a lot of my issues were digestion/​food related, my lesson learned has been just because I’ve cleared a lot of things for my body doesn’t mean I should go out and over do it. Moderation and balance is the key. I was lucky, I got to reset my body’s reaction to certain things. Its a second chance to take care of myself and be the healthiest version of me. I hope you get positive results too. If not, don’t give up!

Wow. I could not say enough good things about this place if I tried which is why I had not reviewed it yet. Traditional allergy doctors have labeled me as one of the worst cases of pollen/​grass allergies they have ever seen. I would agree with them. Before coming to Advanced Allergy Solutions, I went to extreme lengths for help with my allergies (meaning taking pharmaceutical medications or treatments, which I normally completely avoid) because they made me miserable: I couldn’t breath, was utterly fatigued, had an unbearably itchy throat, and found myself extremely irritable.
I could talk about how incredible this technology is for hours. Holistic treatments make complete sense to me and the fact that there was one out there to cure my allergies was too good to be true. Emily Shore, my practitioner, is a wonderful soul and an incredibly sharp and knowledgable professional, who has taught me a LOT about the way that the human body and allergies work. I have only had four treatments here but after three I was completely medication free. Though I still have symptoms, they are bearable and I am peeling them away with each allergy treatment.
For optimal results, don’t expect this type of healing to be cut and dry. The body works in its own time and way. Curing one allergy may relieve symptoms for many others, and free up energy for your body to surface an underlying allergen that may not have been as prevalent before. Be gentle with yourself and open to the treatment. Sometimes flare ups in symptoms can be normal and natural part of healing.
One thing you may not know is that AAS can also help with digestive problems and mental health– they’re interconnected.
Today I had the pleasure of meeting Denise– the owner, a resident practitioner, and ND– who was absolutely lovely. Amy and Masha, the front desk women I have met, were simply delightful as well.

From reading the negative reviews here, it looks like they stem from the reviewer’s idea that their allergies would be solved in 1 – 3 visits. I went to AAS five times over the past two years, and have gone from taking 2 allergy pills per day and still waking up at 6am every morning with horrible sneezing fits, runny nose, itchy watery eyes, itchy throat, to nothing. NOTHING. Nada. Zero allergies. Bam.
Yes, it’s a lot of money (~$ 90 per session after the first one), and maybe if I bought a Groupon and somehow got the idea into my head that my allergies would be magically cured in an hour session or two, then I’d be pissed, too. But if you don’t stick with it, you’re not going to see results. It’s pretty straight-​forward, whether you believe in the holistic aspects or not. And it is completely worth the money, not to mention tossing shots and pills out the window forever.

Even though the «science» behind these treatments made no sense to me at all, I still decided to give it a try. I have horrible allergies and I am always down to try something that might work. As everyone else states the office and staff are great. The treatments on the other hand are a little shady in my opinion. After the first couple treatments I kept trying to convince myself that it was all not just non sense. I really wanted to believe they might work. I experienced no relief whatsoever. This might work for some people but I can’t help but feel like I wasted my money and time.

I was very skeptical when I first started treatments a few years ago. No one like to be a sucker and it all sounded too good and «wooo-​wooo» to be true. I also knew that I would need a number of treatments before I could see results (this is just because of the number of different things I had allergies to).
Still, I was miserable. I decided to make the investment and try it, risking suckerdom.
So glad I did! Recently went back for some new/​touch up treatments.
Weds — Having endured for 2 WEEKS crazy hay fever (requiring me to haul a box of tissue with me everywhere) I went in and got treated for 1 of the 3 things identified as things I was reacting to.
Th — No relief, in fact getting much worse, so I made another appt.
Fri — Went in for a second treatment from the 3 identified. Started improving almost right away. This treatment must have nailed the thing that was really getting to me.
Sat — 80% improved
Sun — 95% improved
Monday — No sign of hay fever!!!
Tuesday (today) — writing this review because they totally deserve it, and other skeptics out there suffering hopefully will take a chance on it too and feel better without DRUGS, without SHOTS.

When I was referred here and had the method of treatment explained, my analytical brain couldn’t make sense of how it could possibly work. However, with the endorsement from my trusted acupuncturist combined with positive reviews on Unilocal,I figured it was worth a shot.
I have suffered from nasal allergies since childhood and been on regimens of daily pills and/​or nasal sprays to be able to function. After several of these treatments, I no longer take any medication for my allergies, and I’m breathing clearly every day. I can even stand to be in the same room with cats and dogs, which has always been a nightmare. They were also able to pinpoint some food allergies that were unknown to me. After some more sessions targeting food components, my issues with chronic stomach pain have reduced considerably.
I still can’t wrap my head around how it works, but I no longer care. The results speak for themselves, and that’s good enough for me. Do yourself a favor and try it out!

I was coughing every three minutes for the better part of two months. I fractured ribs, pulled muscles, was unable to sleep through the night or consume food without a coughing fit. I went to my allergist. He put me on steroids and codine and we changed my inhaler. Eventually I was able to sleep through the night but still needed my emergency inhaler at least a few times a day. It wasn’t really a good longterm solution but I also didn’t really want to take allergy shots again. My coughing was so noticeable that several coworkers suggested I give Allergy Solutions a try.
I was highly skeptical of acupressure, coming from a scientific research background, but I figured acupuncture has already done wonders for my pain and as I entered the third month of coughing, I figured there was nothing to lose except for potentially feeling better. Fast forward to two months later and I feel a lot better. I have found that some treatments seem to have made more noticeable improvements in my general well being than others. The only side effects that I experienced were headaches for a one or two of them and all the food sensitivity treatments made me extremely tired (I ended up taking two hour naps after them).
The staff is super friendly and patient with answering your questions and the «office» is really a calm, relaxing environment so coming back weekly is actually kind of relaxing and not a chore the way allergy shots were. It is somewhat expensive, but I feel it was totally worth it to be mostly off harmful medications and able to breathe like a normal person.
