History
Established in 1993.
AcroSports, a nonprofit corporation, is located in the landmark Poly Gym across from San Francisco’s Kezar Stadium — parts of the old high school saved by the community to become centers for recreation, learning and sports.
With volunteer labor, high spirits and community support, AcroSports staff, families and friends turned the East gym from an abandoned pigeon roost into an approximately 10,000 square foot facility with full gymnastics equipment and circus rigging along with supporting office, exercise, and art space.
AcroSports is run by a volunteer Board of Directors, staffed by professionals and supported by parents, students, and friends. The staff at AcroSports is determined to remain the best by attracting and training talented individuals in acrobatics, dance, gymnastics and the circus arts. We are committed to safety and to working appropriately and effectively with students of varying experience and ability.
