Craig F.

Business Owner

Craig grew up in his family’s business, which was started by his father, and he began to work in the shop from the early age of 9 years old. After graduating Pepperdine University with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Craig formally began his career at AAA Flag & Banner.

It was at the cusp of the digital revolution, and Craig embraced technology as an early adopter and began to convert production from traditional hand painting, screen printing, and other analog processes into the new digital age of production.

Within a few years, AAA had grown a new division for Digital Printing and amassed several state-​of-​the-​art printing presses. There is no slowing down as he is currently developing other online portals and tools to better assist clients with their graphic needs along with keeping AAA current with the latest and best printing and finishing equipment available to insure the highest quality products and services at competitive pricing.

I think they work with faceless corporations a lot so they don’t care about overcharging a person/​small businesses.
Had to get a decal/​wall vinyl printed for my art show. Asked me if i wanted a banner instead of decal/​vinyls. I specifically wanted what I requested. I question this company’s sense of taste and customer service.
but then again they work with tacky ad-​firms on the sides of buses and vans. THEY ARE NOT designer or artist friendly.
The guy basically said I can only do 1 quote per day and then said my files didn’t open and basically ignored my remaining emails. After I sent him the same PDF twice.
also i got a quote from another place for the same job $ 100 cheaper.
I wish I had read the reviews before even wasting my time with them– the only reason I considered it was because I got a referral from a friend.
I looked at other places– they quoted me with in 15 – 30 min. this place is a bit absurd.
*NOTE he did get back to me the next day with the quote– but unfortunately by then i had already given the job to another company.

These guys to a fabulous job. I’ve been using them for years for trade show banners and such. They have great service, my rep is Ronnie Ocana, and the quality is excellent. I can’t speak to thje price because they do such a great job I haven’t wanted to try anyone else. They will jump through hoops to turn a project around if you need it.

I bought a flag today along with a display case. Joe helped me fold the flag (a two person job) and put it into the case for me. I really appreciated that because I know that’s not part of his normal job. He could have told me to go home and do it myself, but he wanted to make sure I was happy with it and that it fit properly. It was a huge help!

Personal service, and very accomodating pricing. We’re a non-​profit, so prices matter. There is so much that AAA Flag & Banners does for signage — both large and small format. Jonathan is helpful and works with us as part of our team. It’s a large printing company, but service to us makes it feel like I’m working with the owner.

I didn’t catch the young lady’s name but she was very helpful in helping me custom build some flag poles for my three 4′ X 8′ flags for Gay Pride Month. I was looking for poles that wouldn’t tangle the flags in my windy location and she knew exactly what I needed.
Although she didn’t have poles long enough, she helped me custom build some from dowels I bought at the lumber yard. They look great and the whole neighborhood is commenting! THANK YOU whoever you were!

It seems like the front desk person has changed, because the woman I’ve talked to has been great! Jonathan has been incredibly helpful and pro-​active in helping us to solve logistical issues. He’s coordinated with the local DPW office and helped us work around some challenges. I’ve had a great experience working with AAA.
I referred to this company from the folks at the Folsom Street Fair and have been as happy with the service as they are.
I do believe the times, they have a-​changed since the reviews from last year.

They are horrible. The women answering the phone is rude, Jonathan overpromises and does not deliver, the owner of the company is disconnected.

I love AAA Flag on 10th, I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them. To give some frame of reference I’m not just some dude that printed a banner once, I’m some dude that printed a lot of banners a lot of times, I’d estimate that I’ve done between $ 10k — $ 20k worth of business with these guys over the past 2 – 3 years. Used them exclusively at the last company I worked for where we were printing handfuls of large banners every quarter (I’m guessing 30 or more per year, sometimes more, almost always under time crunches).
They are always on time, always competitively priced, located centrally, super nice/​helpful and most importantly ALL my projects print EXACTLY the way they should. Every. Single. Time.
It sounds like the bad experiences are due to either dumb luck (i.e. the front desk people are having a bad day) or a bad/​inexperienced designer (i.e. if my design prints wrong it’s my responsibility to check my colors and verify the quality of the print in a timely manner, that’s how the business works and it’s why there are things like press checks, Pantone books, material swatches and color models).
AAA Flag gets and A+ from me and they will continue to get my business.

Horrible! We needed a couple flags made for a company event. We had one red and one black one made. Well, when we went to pick them up, the «red» one was as orange as a jack o’lantern! The guy explained that we should have ordered samples (they never told us to do so when we ordered in person) and that because the color is printed on an «exotic material» (what, nylon?!) that it won’t match the chip exactly. He maintained that it was definitely in the red family and there was nothing we could do except purchase another flag for $ 180. Plus, the «black» one ended up being more of a dark grey. Not impressed.

I had a very negative experience with the San Francisco Branch of AAA flag and banner. At first they lost my order completely, when they found it they neglected to call me back, and then nonchalantly explained that the first proof would be ready the day after the final product was promised to be delivered. The woman I spoke with seemed to think it was perfectly acceptable that the order was delayed and offered no apologies. I found this very disturbing and unprofessional. Rather than offering a solution, the woman only said she would cancel my order, in disbelief and in distrust that I could ever expect a final product from AAA I agreed to cancel my order.

Ok, this is a bit silly, but one of their drivers hit my car in a parking lot and this branch of the company was so helpful and nice and lovely. No idea if the flag and banner services but an honest company with pleasant employees.
