980 Bush

It is a beautiful building and things seem fine from the outside. The apartment sizes are large given that it is an old building. Step inside and it is absolutely run down. The place smells musty. The carpet in the common areas are filthy. There is a couch at the entrance that looks like it was dragged in off the street. There is an ancient elevator that works 50% of the time. The elevator is also really challenging to get in an out of if you are, say, carrying groceries because there are two sets of doors to open simultaneously. There is horrible street noise from ambulances from St Francis Hospital that drive down Bush Street at all times of day and night. This building has lots of potential — new carpet, get rid of the hideous filthy couch, put in a better elevator (and ensure it works), maybe upgrade the windows to better insulate sound… but doubt any of this would happen. We really regret moving in here.
