The portions were laughable! I guess I should stick with buying bbq in the ‘hood. A double order should have leftovers for lunch the following day.

2 star rating based only on the ribs and sausage I ordered here. I was anticipating to try this place out when I heard good things about it. I ordered the ribs and spicy sausage combo, along with potato salad and mac n cheese. I was extremely let down. The ribs seemed like they were microwaved; they were so tough and rough in texture. Not fall off the bone, they were stiff and crispy. Ugh. Spicy sausage tasted like regular hot dogs that had cheez wiz inside, like something cheap I could buy at Safeway. The hype I heard about this place was extremely over rated. Unfortunately this seems like a fake BBQ joint to me. I would rather prefer GS Riverside BBQ over this place any day. I won’t be back here ever again.

The outdoor patio is really nice to sit and have a beer with some ribs. The Ribs were really good and full of flavor from the rub. The deep fried mac and cheese is a a must! The only downside is that it is a little on the pricey side

Oh delicious gluttony! And you can get it to go. A plate of ¼ lb. of meat with sweet bread and two sides — fries and deep fried mac-n-cheese are two of the gluttonous options — with a few pickles for $ 16. The meats are melt in your mouth amazing. Brisket and pulled pork being the ones to go for. Yes, there’s coleslaw but it’s a soggy drowning-in-mayo option with way too much caraway seed. I didn’t care for it. The pozole soup is amazing. Spicy, rich, nourishing. I can’t imagine eating much more than a side but this is one of my favorite things here. I also still love the burger on its grease laden bun, but it still bugs me that there are no sides included. I paid $ 4 for a side of coleslaw and won’t do that again. Another great option is ordering meat by the pound and making your own(healthier) sides at home!

I think this place is super cute and yay for being dog friendly! While this isn’t my favorite BBQ in the world, this isn’t really a BBQ town, and I WAS pleasantly surprised by some of our food. THEGOOD (1) Pulled Pork Shoulder — Tender and lightly smoky and not overly fatty (2) Brisket — My boyfriend told me to mention the«impressive smoke line» in the meat (3) Mustard Vinegar Sauce — Carolina vinegar BBQ is my favorite, so I was bummed that they didn’t have straight-up vinegar… but this mustard vinegar was actually AWESOME. Super tangy and a little spicy and just awesome. Perfect on all the meats (4) Golden State Cider in cans, woo hoo! (5) Dogs are allowed in the fun semi-outdoor seating area THENOT-AS-GOOD (1) Rolls — Sort of boring; could be softer and sweeter (2) Pickles — Bread and butter pickles should be banned from the earth, just sayin’ (3) Frankaroni — Overly cheesy; not enough noodles or hot dogs THEBAD (1) Spicy Fries — The fries were overcooked and the chimichurri sauce was way too oily I could definitely see myself coming back here since dogs are allowed and I like the neighborhood generally. P. S.4505 makes/sells really good chicharrones, here and at tons of stores all over the city

Will the creepy Unilocaler that post pics of his kid’s head on his reviews please take it down… it’s haunting me: It looks like 4505BBQ serves grass fed Kiddie head… oh yum! 4505BBQ is really expensive:(portions size to price metric being used). 4505BBQ is really tasty: awesome brisket… lean and flavorful, wonderful pulled chicken… succulent and bursting with flavor, pulled pork… yes yes yes… and finally pretty awesome smoke ring laden large meaty pork ribs. The food is not overly salted or overly processed with«enhancements». The quality of meat is really good. Let’s face it most places use antibiotic laced, growth hormone enhanced… poisonous junk. You pay for what you eat… keep that in mind! 4505BBQ has great sides: some of the best coleslaw(it is peppery), nice tater salad, wonderful parker house rolls, great tallow fried fries etc. 4505BBQ is a great place to dine at: This use to be brother in laws bbq, lilly’s, da pit… they were all hoodtastic, ghetto flaved, hole in the wall places for pickup only. Now you can sit down order a great drink, chill, eat, and just hang out and have a good time… that is if its not crazy busy. 4505BBQ has really small portions… but dam it tasted soooo good. Would I recommend this place? Hell yes Would I eat here all the time? Well if I was Mark Zuckerberg why not? Probably one of the best bbq places in San Francisco

You know when you’re so full you could take a nap right there in the restaurant? Yup that was me at the end of my meal at 4505. We were pretty fatty with our order, I got the smoked rib plate with potato salad and baked beans, my BF got the #1 combo meat plate w the beef brisket, coleslaw & baked beans, and as if that wasn’t gonna be enough we decided to go full diabetes status and order the beef brisket fries. To wash it down we ordered«sugar in a glass» with a big red soda and a lemonade. The ribs fell off the bone with each bite and the brisket? Well I can’t tell you bc my BF mowed them down so quick I didn’t get a bite. Ha. But obvi he loved it(although he did say after trying my ribs that the ribs were better, like always I made the better call.) The coleslaw was money, just enough mayo where it’s nice and classic but light enough to enjoy the whole thing(sides were big btw, great serving sizes all around). The beans were my favorite, just a bit of a kick but sweet like baked beans are supposed to be! Potato salad was killer too, I love that they put paprika on the top! Now the kicker, the beef brisket fries were just over the top, delish and def not needed with all the food we got but we managed to find the space to put em down(they were just too good). I suggest taking a fork and mixing all the toppings in w the fries so you get all the goodness in every bite. My big red soda was really yummy and totally worth the 38 grams of sugar. Service was great, busser came up many times to make sure our table was cleaned and we had everything we needed. Prices are high but worth it. Perfect place to take people visiting SF or to go when you’re on the«one meal a day» diet.

Dat cheeseburger doe. My lady and I were in the neighborhood and we stopped in our tracks when we saw the large BBQ sign. Like moth to a flame… It wasn’t until we were in line that we realized we were at 4505 Burgers and BBQ. Chansu! We’d been meaning to visit this place for a long time now. Ever since we devoured their burgers and fries at Outsidelands earlier this year, we’ve been fiending for another taste. So we ordered the cheeseburger with a fried egg and spicy chimichurri fries. Still bomb dot com. There’s something about that burger — maybe it’s the grass fed beef patty that delivers all that flavor, or perhaps it’s the sum of its parts; all the little details in the ingredients culminating into a tasty bite. Whatever it is, das a dang good burger. Only complaint is that I’d want more burger. It’s on the smaller side, especially when considering the price. But well worth the treat every now and then. And then there’s the fries. Unilocalers beware — it can get pretty spicy, especially towards the end, but still so good. Chili oil and spicy chimichurri aioli atop a mound of crispy french fries — grab a glass of beer and you’re set. We had their pilsner and red ale on tap, and both went well with our meal. Seating is outdoors, so bring a jacket if it’s cold; the space heaters only cover about half of the area. There are a variety of seating options — communal benches, a couple of tables and chairs, as well as some«indoor» seating provided by an emptied out shipping container. Cool. Order at the register and take your number to a seat. We came on a Saturday evening, and found seats pretty easily. They had the Warriors game playing, which definitely was a plus. Folks stopped to catch the game standing on the sidewalk. Cool and hip ambiance. Glad we were finally able to sit down and eat at this place. We’ll definitely come back. We may even stray away from our favorite order to try their other offerings — all look delicious. Give it a try!

Mmm, burgers and BBQ. We came here as a last lunch in San Francisco. We had heard there was only seating outside and it was raining but in fact most of the space was covered, which is nice. You order inside and the guys behind the counter are super nice. It’s a good mix of BBQ items, including burgers, briskets, pulled pork, fried chicken and others. I got the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and it was hearty and flavourful and damn tasty. We also got the special of the day, the smoked chicken wings and holy god were those good. Near perfect… no, I’ll say it, perfect chicken wings. Smokey, crunchy, fried but not overly fried, so good. I could have eaten them for days. It’s an excellent lunch spot and I will be back.

Do yourself a favor and ORDERTHATCHEESEBURGER. We first tried 4505 at Outside Lands, and the burger literally melted in our mouths. The other day, my boyfriend and I were in the area and saw that the Warrior game was playing on their outdoor patio, so we decided to stop by for a drink. «Just a drink» turned into a beer each plus the spicy chimichurri fries and their famous cheeseburger topped with a fried egg. Let’s just say there were no regrets. The Warriors won the game, and we got another chance at that wondrous cheeseburger — packed with flavor and a perfectly gooey, melty slice of cheese. It’s funny though, I actually had no idea that we were in 4505 until I saw the menu and the ‘4505’ on the wall of the restaurant. The branding on the sign above the store definitely highlights the word BBQ over everything. Anywho, they serve a selection of beers on tap as well as some wine. There’s lots of seating and space heaters on the patio for those colder SF days. We’ll be back to try their barbecue and that fried mac n cheese.

I love burgers. This one? Best Damn Cheeseburger? Not so :( I even got a 2nd patty and also some bacon. It’s overall a small burger. For this, it costs more than $ 15. Fries ain’t included. I’m sometimes willing to pay this, if really the best ever. Not worth it at this price point. They only make one burger, it’s good, but not the best. Plus 1 point for heaters outside though.

Came here for a reunion with Kevin, Ben, and Tony. OFC, as really«amazing» friends, they were saying«Chena, you can only order salad… and beer.»(since veggies are like extraterrestrial aliens to me and I prefer not to drink unless its for an occasion) PSH, NAHBRUHS, I DOWHAT I WANT. .:FOOD:. BBQ Sandwich(Beef Brisket) 9.75: topped with cole slaw, sauce, and pickles. The beef was pretty tender and had the most smokiest taste to it(some a little more smokier than I wouldve liked). I thought the sandwich was pretty good, but nothing that blows my mind. My cole slaw and pickles mysteriously fell out of my sandwich somehow though… :) .:Atmosphere//Service:. I can’t really be accurate on service since we just go up to the counter order and sit down. From there it’s pretty much on our own. But from the 75 seconds that I did get to chat with the cashier, he seemed pretty friendly. After you order, you can go outside and find a table to sit down. Although there were less than 15 tables, my friends and I were able to find our spot. There were individual tables and there were also long benches you can share with other people. Only certain tables had a heater over it. Loved the lights hanging from the top though, it was very festive and gave me a warm welcoming feeling about it. All in all, a decent place for date, hangouts, reunions, etc. Bigger groups may have trouble finding a table on a busy night. I came on a Saturday night at around 7:30pm. Pretty crowded but manageable.

It was so hot in the ‘ordering’ room. You essentially order and pay in the kitchen, so yes… it was hot. This is not really a big deal. I ordered the #1 with brisket, potato salad and baked beans. The brisket was very salty and tasted fatty. I’m not a brisket expert, so maybe it tasting fatty is normal, but it was very salty. It did have a nice char and it was easily cut with a fork. The potato salad had a heavy coating of paprika. I was skeptical and the first bite seemed dry, but with successive bites, the flavor blossomed a bit. It was quite tasty. The baked beans were not extraordinary, but good. The outdoor, covered seating was great and the folks who delivered our food and picked up our finished plates were super nice. We were at Alamo Square to check out the painted ladies and wanted to walk to lunch. There seemed to be a gazillion options. If we find ourselves in the area again we will check out one of the other options.

THEFRANKARONI&SPICYFRIES! We ordered the two meat combo with pulled pork and beef brisket, both were very tasty but the portion was a lot smaller than we expected. You can add both the frankaroni and spicy fries as fixin’s for just $.75 more. We had also ordered the Posole which is a red chili smoked meat & hominy — definitely would not recommend ordering this. It was lacking a lot of flavor, and just tasted like watered down soup in my opinion. I would recommend their potato salad as another side to try instead. Love the ambiance of their outdoor seating during the night and it’s a nice place to watch sports games during the day as well.

Another foodie adventure for the books! I am not a big bbq girl, because in OC, it’s hard to find the good stuff. While in SF, we happened to watch Anthony Bourdain hit up this place on his show, and seeing 1.) how close it was, 2.) how bomb the food looked and 3.) how unique the restaurant seemed, we decided we had to stop by to try it out. Winner! And not just because my sister ordered the smoked chicken plate dinner. At around $ 13 for a one-item smoked plate, we thought it was priced well; if you know smoked bbq restaurants, all the hard work put into smoking those meats is admirable! My brother went with the smoked ribs($ 17) and that was the best deal! It came with 4 large ribs, two sides(two huge sides!), pickles and toasted bread. I went with the brisket, frankaroni and beans for my sides, that way we had a taste of everything they had to offer. Overall, each of our plates had such great value. I’m not just talking about portion — I’m talking about flavor! But for portion, yeah, definitely that, too. My brisket was smoked all the way through and the bark was succulent. The ribs were meaty and fell off the bone. Each side was shareable between all of us. The potato salad comes with two full scoops, the baked beans… the baked beans deserve a trophy or something. It’s made with their pulled pork, so there is so much flavor packed in, a must– order. The frankaroni was so crispy and creamy on the inside, I wanted to order another to snack on. BBQ is never complete without dipping sauce, and the house made sauces are so good! The mustard goes well with the chicken and the bbq sauce tasted great with everything! At the end of our meal, we were all full and even had leftovers, which is quite a feat considering my brother in law can eat a lot. We had a bit of difficulty finishing our beers! Great food, great service and overall, great restaurant. It’s the type of place I’d want to dine at again on my next visit! Delicious smoked barbecue!

The burger was aite. A bit unfortunate, given that they name it the BESTDAMNGRASSFEDCHEESEBURGER: a quarter-pound grass-fed beef patty sandwiched by lettuce, onion, 2 non-melted slices of Gruyère cheese, and secret sauce smothered on a buttery, grilled sesame and scallion bun. Single for $ 9.75, double for $ 13.75, add $ 2 for bacon or an egg. The huge bun was a bit overwhelming for me, especially in comparison to the thinner beef patty. I was impressed by the fact that they cooked such a thin patty to medium rare, so props to the chefs for that. Overall, a solid burger, but not one I would seek again. Plus, how could they forget to melt the cheese. That’s just rude. We also ordered the tasty $ 5.50SPICYFRIES covered in chimichurri sauce and lemon parsley aioli and grabbed a $ 5 bag of the 4505ORIGINALRECIPECHICHARRONES, which were so preciously light, fluffy, and very quickly devoured. Never has pork tasted so dainty. Keep in mind, it’s first-come-first-serve outdoor seating only after you’ve picked up your order, so dress appropriately, and behave civilly. Next time, I shall forsake the burger and beast through the BBQ.

In a city of lines, this one’s too long Friday night queue. We join at 7:55, ordered at 8:31 and took a seat on the patio. 2 meat $ 16.50(brisket/sausage with tator salad and beans) 1 lb ribs $ 14 since there’s no option for a side of ribs. Boo! $ 41 out the door with a pint of brew. The meats arrived at 8:44. A reasonable amount of time for all precooked food. There’s nothing made to order in my order so it should be fast. Waiting the 50 minutes from the time arrived to the tie to eat is not reasonable. Was it worth it? No. Brisket is dry. You should never need a knife to cut it. Is this is some fancy, low fat meat that’s better on your heart but so dry it does not fall apart. I’ll give you 3⁄5 for the smoke flavor but that’s it. Sausage has a little spice that lingers. I like it. I asked the guy at the register how yellow the potato salad was. «Not yellow.» He must be color blind as this is clearly a heavy on the mustard style and very sweet. Not for me. Beans are sweet and delicious with burnt ends for a smokey flavor. And for the ribs? You know, the ones I had to order at $ 14 since they don’t have a smaller, side portion. Par for course, they were not good. In fact, I had 2, offered them to my dining companion who declined and I ended giving away to a homeless guy. Sorry homeless guy but beggers can truly not be choosie. If you’re from a big city in California or back East and have never been to a BBQ city like Memphis, Saint Louis or anywhere in the Great State of Texas, you might like 4504’s BBQ. For the educated, don’t stand around for it here. SF does have some good BBQ but this is not it. I do like the vibe, patio and shared tables. Makes it easy for groups if you can time it right. If you really want to try them out, call in your order from the street and in 10 minutes it’s ready. Seriously, the women in front of us did it and would out the door in 10. Amazing.

I went to SF for the weekend. When in a new city, pig out. I definitely did not expect this place to be this good. I got the beef brisket plate and their Best Damn Cheeseburger. The beef brisket was such a surprise. It was so tender, so juicy and perfectly smoky! The burger was really good. However, they only do medium rare and well done for the burger. That, I felt, was a drawback because I normally have my burgers medium well. This place is pretty pricey for the amount they give you. But I definitely felt it was worth it. The ambience is really laid back. They have a patio seating area overlooking the street. The best part is that this is not in the congested area of SF so street parking shouldn’t be too much of a pain.

Sitio local de carnes a la brasa, muy original las mesas que tienen fuera en un parking cerrado, buen ambiente y cerca de muchos locales de moda para ir a tomar un copa después.
