Went before The Night Before concert and it was not crowded at all. The chicken nachos are awesome and filling. We’ll come back the next time that we’re in the area.

No pretense, just good food and nice staff. I eat here all the time. Daily specials are awesome and I’ve never had to wait very long.

I love this place! I come here for lunch a lot. It looks a little grungy at first glance, but they’re always nice to me, and their burritos are amazing! They will actually make them spicy, and I don’t know what kind of salsa they use but it is magic, it goes really well with the beef burrito. Everything is fresh and cooked from scratch. Sometimes it can take a few minutes, but it’s nice and quick with the online pickup. I’ve seen people complain about prices, but, well, welcome to the city. Everything else you’d find around here for that price is fast food or snacks. Even the food trucks are more expensive. The burritos here are like a meal and a half, reasonably priced, AND delicious. They should really be two meals, but I never really have the self control to save half for later, it’s too yummy.

Everything is made from scratch and organic. The women that owns it used to have her own catering business! The duo team of her and the cook work wonders. I work around the corner and come here for the occasional burger or special of the day. Specials range from chicken curry soup and salad to burrito bowls and fresh fish. Like others have said, it doesn’t look like much from the outside or even the interior but everything I’ve eaten is great. The chicken burger is DELICIOUS and ground in house, just like all their burgers. I’ve never spent more than $ 11 on a meal here and am always satisfied. Don’t know why more people don’t come here, seems like a hidden gem to me. Come on your next lunch break!

FOH lady is mostly nice. Everyone has crappy days. I probably just happen to run into them my first couple visits. I always love my food here wether it’s a decked out burger, a salad, or even a shrimp burrito. Hooray!

Really a great, friendly little spot. I had a burger with grilled onions and fetta, very tasty! They were very proud that they grind their meet in house, which tells me they really care about their food. Service was great and friendly. A great, quick lunch spot. Their burger with side salad or fries was around $ 8. I’ll definately be back!

I eat here all the time. The food is great, and the place is quiet. Good luck finding that anywhere else in the area.

I walked in on a weekday mid afternoon during the«dead» of the day. I was suprised to see how large this place was because on the outside because on the outside it didnt seem so big. Large space for seating and tables as well. However the place seems and feels dingy. It’s like one of those places where there’s that certain layer of grease that covers everything from the many years of it kind of layering on itself over and over. I ordered a chicken cheese quesadilla which comes with sourcream and guacamole. The cook was nice and got it whipped up for me quickly. In the end it was okay, nothing to knock my socks off. The cheese was bland and the meat seemed like it was just added into the quesadilla. However the portions were large and I was definitely full from it.

This place looks like a hole in the wall. As we were walking in a large group was walking out raving about the food. I wasn’t sure if we were going to eat here until that moment. We were seated fairly quickly. The service was a little slow but it was a game day and there was only 1 waitress. We had plenty of time to eat before the game and were not worried about time. We orders the cheese burgers. They were the most delicious burgers I have eaten in quite sometime. Everything is homemade. We will come back here for sure. Don’t let the older look the interior and exterior fool you. This place is truly a diamond in the rough. The $ 4 pints of beer is also a plus.

This is a great local place to hit up on the way to AT&T park! The menu doesn’t break the bank and the burritos are always on point. Regardless of what ingredients you want in it, they always are fresh and the hot sauce is always a great condiment to go with it. The owner is confident in the food and it shows! Good food, good price, pretty cool location.

This is a great local spot that has been around for 25 years. The two people running the spot have 50 years of professional cooking experience between them. No, the place isn’t trendy or cool, but the burger is awesome. On a food basis only, this place is incredible. You won’t read about it on a blog, but you should definitely drop by.

Like the othrtd have said. The food is good and the staff is really great. The price is good too. Like others have said unless you’re a regular don’t expect much in terms of customer service unless you are a regular or the manager takes a liking to you.

Very good food – this place should be much more crowded during lunch, but it doesn’t have the trendy atmosphere, music, TV’s, ambiance, etc. that other popular places do. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and I’d go back just for that. If you work in the area, and want a good, quick, fun meal, go here.

I’ve finally decided to pick up lunch from here since it is right across the street from work. It’s definitely not a place to have any expectations from the ambiance or service – it’s a dated diner that you just come in for the food and be on your way. Their menu consists of pretty much the basics: burgers, salads, sandwiches but also oddly have Mexican food if you’re in the mood for a burrito or quesadilla. They also have some beers on tap, which could be a good location to pregame before a Giants game. I decided to go with the classic club sandwich which filled me up for lunch perfectly. The bacon was thin and crispy, but the chicken could have been a little more juicy and tender. It comes with a choice of fries or their house salad served with vinaigrette. This order cost me $ 10.65, which sounds kind of pricey for a sandwich, but standard for a Mission Bay/SOMA area lunch. Though it’s nothing too special, I’d still recommend this place for anyone who works in the area and on the hunt to order a quick, fresh lunch. There is a $ 10 min for any credit/debit use

I went into 3rd Street Grill having read some pretty positive reviews on here. The food was good but the service was lackluster, which brought down it’s rating. Food: I had a ‘Ritto Bowl which was lettuce, guacamole, grilled veggies, black beans, and grilled chicken. It was an excellent dish though I wish it were larger, and they marketed it as a Paleo option which was cool to see in a hole in the wall joint. My dining companion had just a standard burger and fries, it was nothing to write home about but it was good. Service: They virtually left us hanging. We came in during lunch and there wasn’t much activity in the place yet no one really greeted us. It was our first time at the place so we weren’t sure how seating worked, the one lady who worked there was pushy and a bit impatient.

The food and service is great. The place is a little dated, and the menu is large; but good none the less. The owner who works during lunch is very sweet, and explains that they make everything from scratch. I had a kale based soup, which tasted like it was homemade. I also had a vegan burger which was so yummy. Apparently it changes weekly, can’t wait to try the next recipe. Give the place a shot…

My colleagues and I wanted to eat burger/sandwiches that won’t break our wallet since we are still student interns and we found this one $ sign on Unilocal. The menu looked good and price was ok so we gave it a try. My first impression of the place was that it looked old fashioned. The seats are comfortable like at a diners. The walls had interesting retro pictures. The lady that gave us the menu seemed somewhat rude at first but she was actually an interesting character. She reminds me of the loud and cranky restaurant ajummas in those Korean dramas but she was a little friendly. My colleagues ordered the regular hamburger and a Silken Curtain. I ordered the Classic Club(chicken sandwich, triple wheat bread) that comes with a side of salad. We were all satisfied with the taste and how fast they came out(there weren’t many customers). The food was great! One of us got the ice tea(house drink) but it was a little too tart. The lady wanted to promote this place so she gave us to-go menus. It might be a little pushy to some folks but we didn’t mind. Food was great. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich I had. I’d come back here again and maybe even become a regular.

This place really grows on you — I didn’t think much of it when I first walked by, but as I came here for lunch more and more, you realize the staff remembers their regulars and it wasn’t long before I was asked if I wanted«the usual». Now, understand that the area is often packed with people due to AT&T Park being a block away, and realize that there’s only one chef and one waitress serving the entire restaurant. You’ll probably be in for a wait. I can see why people would be angry if they have really high expectations for the service or want to get food very quickly. But, if you can stand the wait, the food is pretty good! I almost always ordered the California Crunchy salad with grilled chicken and balsalmic vinaigrette, which had a very generous portion size.

Wanted to try a new place in the hood, so I stopped in here on an exceptionally hot SF day recently. I am not sure how the other two patrons were able to sit at the table and eat their food without sweating. I ordered up the grilled chicken sandwich and a side order of fries. The chicken was slightly overcooked, but the sandwich overall was tasty. They also require a $ 10 min for credit cards, but none of their menu items are over $ 10. My total was $ 9.25, so she she just rounded up. I get, again, why all these merchants have minimums, but if none of your menu items are over the min, what’s the point? As I was leaving I asked if they had ketchup packets for my fries or a little container for some and they didn’t. She said it costs too much, etc, etc. Overall: OK, but avoid eating there on a hot day. Have cash or ensure you are going to spend +$ 10.
