Decided to come here for my smog test after reading all of the reviews here. I went this morning at 8:30am without an appointment to get my smog test and was 3^rd in line. The technician was friendly and fit me in no problem. Mentioned Unilocal and he gave me the Unilocal discount as everyone else here has mentioned (comes out to $ 48.20 total). 15 minutes later, my car had passed, they forwarded the info to the DMV, I paid the $ 48.20, and I was on my way. No gimmicks, no hassles, very friendly.
Also, shout out to whoever mentioned Twisted Donuts on (19^th & Noriega) in their smog place review, because I went there after and it was great.

Great Service! Went today, Sat, Nov 28^th for a Smog Check (to get car registration renewed). Very friendly customer service. Super efficient and responsive. Gave us an estimate on cost and about how long it would take. He was professional and prompt. We walked around the neighborhood and came back when it was done.
Great place to go for a Smog check — they do great work and are fast and friendly. The owners of this place should definitely reward their great employees like these 2 guys today. Will recommend to all my friends and co-​workers.

I had an odd experience here and this review is for the mechanic. I have a 94 Honda it’s had plenty of smogs and never had a problem. Took it here and the guy told me he couldn’t run the rest because the «resonator was opposite.» I called my mechanic who has been working on the car since we got it in 98 and he had no idea what that guy was talking about, told me to go somewhere else so I did and surprise no problem the car passed and they didn’t say anything about the resonator. Wouldn’t recommend going here, the whole experience was very annoying and a waste of time.

Fast and easy (15 minutes).
Nice (smiles, thank you’s and prompt customer service).
Cheap ($ 49).
Loved everything about my experience (granted, my car passed)!

I brought my dads car in because my first experience went really well. I needed smog. The young man assisted me right away. The mechanics smogged my car right away. I felt like I was in and out of there in five minutes. Overall a positive experience just like my previous one.
I was greeted at the entrance. I brought my civic in for smog. The mechanics were very friendly and had me in and out of there in no time. The mechanics were friendly and pleasant as well. Definitely recommend this place for smog!

I called and the guy who answered told me to come in right away. The service was friendly, fast, and affordable. He even gave me a discount because I told him of my massive parking ticket bill I need to pay to get my tags updated-​$ 45 total.

Just came back from the SMOG test this morning. I went without appointment at 9am. It was quick! I was expecting at least 45 mins wait (and was ready to walk to my favorite café spot…) but then the staff said it would only take 10 mins. 10 mins indeed! They were so friendly and I got $ 30 off discount by discovering the service from Unilocal.It was a breeze and I would recommend here to anyone who’s looking to do a SMOG test.

I had a reassuring and easy time getting my smog check at 19^th and Taraval. I phoned in advance to make sure they were available to take my car because it was the last day before my registration ran out. I spoke with Adrian and he said to come on over and to not worry about rushing. It really put me at ease before I even got there. When I arrived I spoke with him and two other mechanics and while I was there each of them was equally informative and reassuring. Although my car did not pass the smog check, they made it is as easy as possible for me to return and showed me what they think will probably be needed in terms of repairs. I can’t say enough good things about their personalities, and their competence. I don’t give five stars out everyday but these guys earned more than five and I would give them more if I could.

Extremely nice. Called about making an appointment and they said I could come in anytime. The guy that checked me in and the guy that worked on my car were very prompt on helping me and were super friendly. They had my car checked within 15min and even gave me the Unilocal discount. Wish they had more services to offer – would love for them to help me with all future car needs.

Best place in San Francisco to get a smog check! Highly recommend. Service is friendly, quick, and efficient. The location is great as well. You can drop by without an appointment, leave your car in good hands, and check out the boba/​restaurants in the area. The wait depends on how many cars are there. One time it took about ~15 minutes since no one else was there!

This place is awesome and I can tell the owners are running a honest shop. I brought my car in with no appointment and they got me in and out within 45 minutes. They are efficient, super friendly and have excellent customer service! When the guy who was taking down my information asked me how I heard of them, I said Unilocal.He immediately responded with, «we will give you the Unilocal discount.» I didn’t even have to ask for it.
I will definitely be coming back for my next smog test!!!

Had to get my SMOG test and these guys really are friendly, quick, and efficient. I paid about $ 50 after everything was charged (the base price of $ 39.99 plus whatever Certificate and Tax is added.)
I grabbed some breakfast down the street at New Taravel Café and my car was ready when I finished.
I will definitely come back here for my next checkup!

Easy to get to.
There is a picture here that says 39.99 Unilocal smog check special. I made sure to show that and ask about it. Otherwise it may have been 71.00 I don’t know.
As far as the people and the service? 5 Stars. Really friendly guy the elder of the two young guys. They’re looking for a 3^rd smog technician.
I brought 2 cars in a row and will see them again next year at this same time.
