Ziggy’s is a family owned and operated meat market and grocer offering the finest fresh meats and local produce. We are known for our delicious chorizo, which is a traditional Mexican pork sausage normally made from ground fatty pork. In contrast to most, 95% of our chorizo is lean fresh meat blended with our own specialty seasonings. We also pride ourselves on our hand-cuts and Carne Asada marination. We offer a variety of crunchy tacos on the weekends, as well as carnitas, buches, and tripas. Having a party or get-together? We also prepare Birria (Mexican goat, lamb, beef stew) and Chamorros (pork shank) upon request.

Business Owner
Sigifredo (a.k.a Ziggy) was born July 12, 1955 in Tototlan, Jalisco. He is the second oldest of 13 brothers and sisters, he’s the proud father of three, and grandfather of two. Ziggy started working at the tender age of 5 in order to help support his ever expanding family. When he was 11 years old he began working at a local butcher shop where he learned all the basics, it was then that his interest in the business began. By the time he was 17, while the rest of his family was on vacation, Ziggy left home and headed to America. With the help of some relatives he was able to find a place to stay and he soon found a job at Thomas Gotor Meat Distributors, a meat packing company. After working for nearly 10 years, Ziggy was finally ready to start his own business and Ziggy’s Meat Market was born in December 1980; Ziggy was only 25 years old.
