Well, came to this place over the weekend for a friends birthday celebration. Upon arriving I almost thought I had come to the wrong place. The front of the establishment is basically similar to all the surrounding warehouses. Once you walk through their front door you enter a wide open warehouse with tons of tables and chairs. The bar is located midway through the warehouse where you can order an array of types of beers. I had the strawberry blonde which was very tasty. In the back you can see the beer containers and rest of the brewery. The atmosphere is a bit loud i will say but what do you expect right? They have a cabinet full of games which almost everyone plays which is nice. Most games are complete which was also a surprise. They apparently also have paint night, during my visit there were about 15 people painting while drinking(not sure how they both go together but it must work). I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and possibly even celebrate a birthday here myself. Another cool thing was that they allow you to bring in your own food or order pizza from down the street which is a bonus.

4 stars only because I’m not a beer drinker. Came here with my husband on a Friday night. He loved the beers. Great atmosphere. Tons of games to play. FREE popcorn and pretzels and reasonable prices. We will be back.

Went w/a buddy to the only Brewery in the SFV that was open at noon on a Friday. They have a big tap room with darts and shuffle board, 21 over only. The beertendress greeted us with with a big smile and glad to see ya energy. I jumped in with the IPA, my bro asked questions and tasted a couple samples. He settled on a «chocolate covered strawberry», their strawberry ale with nitrogen stout floated on top allla Black and Tan. Pretty and oh so half manly. I tried the stout which was Excellent and nice fruit aroma on the strawberry. The IPA $ 6 perplexed me a little. Unique flavor prompted me to ask if it was a Belgian IPA. Nope. Hmmm. I pulled a pale ale next and it was fine. I won’t fault the Brewery for my hop addiction and need for more always. Free popcorn & pretzels were needed and appreciated. Plenty of folks bringing in outside food encouraged. The brewery smelt like fresh mashed grain so Heaven. I’m somewhere between 3&4 stars. Probably 3&5/8ths. Would come back and try more.

Never knew this place existed and I’ve lived in the valley my whole life. I’m glad I was introduced to this place by some friends. Great place which is hidden away from the main street. Good selection of beers with great and friendly staff members. Make sure to UP your drink($ 1) for the Michelada mix which will blow you away! They also have games for you to play such as Jenga, Battleship, Uno, and more. Don’t forget the complimentary popcorn and pretzels. Will be back soon again :)

Picture the scene: the unsuspecting engaged couple walking in, casually checking the place out, the soon-to-be-groom lingering by the popcorn, all before walking towards the back of the room. A whole wedding party pops out from the row of barrels and yells, «surprise!» That’s how we started a lovely, lovely engagement party. This brewery was a perfect venue for it – not so snooty, but nice enough to be relaxed and loose and ready to play some games. It’s not so fancy. In fact, where the party was in the back, it wasn’t a very special look. It was industrial, sure, but I mean there were some pull out chairs and plastic tables. The bottom line is that the ambiance and décor was very low-key. And I like it like that. The drinks were for the most party fine. I’m not big on flavored beers or stouts, so I stuck to the wheats, which hit the spot. I will say that when I got the flight, the cucumber one turned me off a bit. I guess ya win some, ya lose some. On the whole, I really liked the place. It was cute and a perfect venue for our event(so keep that in mind if you’re thinking of a place), but there were some eh things about the place to keep me from giving it that 5 stars. Definitely looking forward to the next time I’m in the area and checking the place out again!

Good beers and good atmosphere with a real brewery tasting room feel. The O’Melveny Red is delicious!!! They have a whole cabinet of board games and old school games that really make everyone get off their phones and want to play. The staff is also really friendly and courteous. You can bring your own food or order from local delivery places. They also have gourmet food trucks that visit. Definitely recommended! Oh, this last time we went, they were making micheladas with your brew of choice!

It’s beer time!!! After visiting a couple of the other breweries in the valley, I decided to come check this place out with my boyfriend. I wish they served food, so we could have had a more complete experience, but since they didn’t we decided to grab food beforehand and come here for drinks after. Walking in, it was pretty open. They have a cabinet full of games, as well as a snack area with pretzels and popcorn to munch on. The brewery has free wifi and the network name and password were posted on the wall. They also have a number of tables inside to sit at. The counter seating next to the bar also has a few outlets to charge your phone at, which is really convienant. We decided to sit directly at the bar as we contemplated all the choices. I decided to get the royal road pale ale, which was really nice and my boyfriend got the flight. It had the wolfskill ipa, the red ale, the pale ale, and the imperial death star. The imperial death star was on their specialty beer list along with some other cool ones. The imperial death star was a really dark beer. Another dark specialty beer is the Black Dahlia. After our first round, we got the Q-cumber ale and the Marty mcrye pale ale. Both were good. The Q-cumber ale was very crisp and you could taste the cucumber in it. It was initially tapped out, but after a few minutes they were able to place a new keg in and start serving it again. The names of the beers were very interesting because you could tell they had put a lot of thought into it. Looking over the names, they were name for specific streets in San Fernando(wolfskill), or were related to San Fernando historically. For example, Artleta/Pacoima was used for a number of residential filming locations in the back to the future movies, so it was interesting to see that as the title of a beer. I thought this brewery was really cool and I would definitely come back!!!

San Fernando Brewery is another hidden gem in the city of San Fernando!!! Found out about this place by a friend of mine and heard nothing but good things! So I was destined to come see for myself. Got a flight of beer and my GF got a Pale ale! The flight is a small fee of $ 7 plus a small fee for the specialty beers. They do have growlers for $ 10 plus the cost of the beer plus tax(to-go only) ranging from $ 18 – 32. Pretty reasonable. While drinking these cold refreshing adult beverages, feel free to stop by the snack station and grab some pretzels and popcorn(freebies)! Imperial Death Star is a dark dark beer with a ABV of 9.5! It’s delicious if you love dark beers and is only served in the goblet/snifter(13oz) and not the regular pint. Overall, the atmosphere is awesome, drinks are cold, snacks are free! This is a place to visit if your in the SFV and need a cold brewski! I highly recommend this place to all my fellow Unilocalers and friends!!!

We were only able to stop in for a few minutes as we had an engagement to get to later and traffic was horrible. But the vibe of the place is great, the staff friendly and attentive, the crowd nice and pleasant, and the beer was great. I loved the brewery is right there out in the open and you get a real feel for the process. The tables are mainly picnic table with other various furniture thrown in which added to the laid back nature of the place. Both lyft drivers ended up behind the brewery, so google maps/gps or something is off, The address is what is should be, but directions are odd for some reason. Will make sure we have more time at this place next time we are in the area!

After trying their beers at the Newport Beer Festival we decided we had to stop by their tap room and made the trip this past weekend. The tap room has a nice open space with plenty of bench, table and couch seating for everyone as well as free popcorn and pretzels which is a bonus. In terms of their beer, we really like the Qucumber and the Strawberry Wheat at the festival so we tried the same again and they do not disappoint. The Strawberry Wheat is a fresh fruit style ale that goes down easy. The Rasberry Wheat is similar but the Strawberry was better IMO. The Qucumber was also unique in that you could taste the hint of cucumbers in the beer. Too bad though they were tapped out of their Spicy Beer because I was looking forward to enjoying a taster to see how much it would of kicked my ass. Since the Strawberry Wheat was a seasonal we weren’t able to bring home a growler of it so we had to do with drinking them there. Overall though this is a great little brewery in the Valley.

Our beer bus group«captains» had the opportunity to sample a little bit of every beer on tap, of which they have a lot… at least 15 house brews. After a quick sampling flight, it became apparent that the beers were not very good. Almost all of them had some sort of brewing flaw be it acetaldehyde(green apple), astringent mouthfeels, diacetyl(butter), sanitizer/chemicals flavors. We had to pick out the four«best» of the house beers, though, for our beer bus crew to sample. We hastily picked the Sonora Wheat, Imperial Death Star Stout, Q-Cumber Pale, and Strawberry Wheat. Fingers crossed. The Sonora Wheat, from our original splash, seemed pretty neutral. In a larger pour, sanitizer and chlorine in the aroma became unbearable. In the flavor, a dusty and papery body with slight lemon. The Imperial Death Star Stout may have been better at masking brewing flaws given its high alcohol, but the flavor was harshly bitter approaching acrid. Alcohol content was apparent. For the Q-Cumber Pale, this was just unique from the cucumber flavor. With a bigger pour, the tannins from the cucumber were overwhelming and diacetyl in the aroma created an unpleasant blend. Harsh finish as well. Lastly, the Strawberry Wheat was one of many fruited wheat beers on tap that simply tasted like soda. There was really nothing offensive about this one except the large number of women in our group were slightly offended thinking we picked it out for them. No one particularly enjoyed the beers here and most glasses remained half full when we left. Unfortunately, beer-wise this brewery slots in the below average tier for Southern California based on frequency of brewing flaws.

I have to say that I am very happy that at last I made it to this local valley brewery, I actually had tasted their beer in the San Fernando Chili Festival & just quite had not made it to their location since then & now I am glad I finally went. Lovated in the industrial area of San Fernando, in a warehouse looking building is what in my opinion a great little brewery. My wife and I sat at the bar area, because we wanted to ask questions and be able to have a comversation with the staff. I initially started with their O’melveny Red Ale & it was DELICIOUS, not sure what these other so called creft beer drinkers are talking about but it was not watered down… It was perfect. My wif had their Sonora Wheat, since she loves her wheat beers I must say she knows alot about them and she was very impressed in this well balanced, crisp wheat beer. We then decided to get a flight of beers, which we added their Stoney Point Stout, Royal Road Pale Ale, Wolfskill IPA& See Sun Blonde. Let me tell you guys… I have been trying to get my wife to drink Stouts foreverrrrrrrrr and OMG! I think we found the right one for her, she absolutely loved their Stoney Point Stout. Infact she loved it so much that she had two pints after that initial taster YESBABY! You go girl. So we sat their and spoke to Karen, Sly & Joel(I Believe Lol), Joel is one of the owners their and let me tell you… A fine Gentleman, he explained the process of their beer making(Without Revealing Secrests Ofcourse) spoke to us about their initial days and how they managed to get this place opened in San Fernando and all in all just explaining his beers and what notes to look for. Sly and Karen were very helpful and nice as well, just the type of people that don’t mind taking a minute yo share a conversation with you. Our experience here was AMAZING&DELICIOUS&OH! To top off the night Joel gets one food truck a night and tonight he had«El Uli» a Mexican Seafood & Taco Truck that made some freaking amazing food(Great Choice Manangement), we had a tostada de aguachile(Shrimp Tostada With Cucumbers, Red Onion, Which The Shrimp Are Raw A& They Cook In Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice), my wife had their Marlin Tostada Which Was Very Very Tasty and OMG! Their tacos de Birria De Res(Marinated Beef Tacos) those came with a little salsa that will blow you away. Our night couldn’t have ended any better, thanks to all the staff you were very nice and will for sure become regulars

The establishment is top notch. Feels very old school and relaxed, fantastic prices, board games, Wi-Fi, outlets the only thing it’s missing is a tv to watch Dodger games which is a shame because it attracts a very zealous and diehard blue crew. They go out of there way to make sure there is food via food truck which is great and also offer popcorn complimentary. The beers are very easy drinking, even the 9% stout which is both good and bad, you would want some complex flavors and at the same time it’s great you can just keep sipping beer without it exhausting you. Its great to have something like this in San Fernando and I hope everyone out there who has been here feels the same so we can preserve it and if you haven’t been here yet, prepare to be amazed.

I really enjoyed my first time here. Finally a brewery close to home! The beer list is small, but that is to be expected since they just opened up. All in all I didn’t have a bad beer. I tried all except the stouts because I am not a huge fan of them. I’m quite excited to see where this company goes, they are off to a great start. Very chill vibe, they have a bunch of games, I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. I will definitely be back for more!

From a fellow brewer I do not take bad reviews for a craft brewery lightly. Hopefully they can use this as constructive criticism and improve. Let’s get to the beers. Pale Ale — This one had promise from the nose. Smelt decent with a nice hop aroma. However, the taste is completely off. Watered down, soapy and diacetyl. No malt complexity or hop flavors. Like alcoholic soft soap water. IPA — Basically a 7% version of the Pale Ale. Could not finish a glass of this. Had a nice color but über cloudy. Red — Malty cardboard is unfortunately the only way to describe it. I’m not a big fan of reds anyway so that’s all I’ll say about that. Stout — The most drinkable of the bunch. Very average. Cherry Wheat(specialty) — Tasted like cherry Emergen-C. Artificial and very medicinal. This is a very raw brewery that is obviously desperate for a real brewmaster. Hope they turn it around.

A nice neighborhood spot to grab a beer, play board games with your friends, and eat free pretzels and popcorn. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would frequent the place just to support it and the growing craft beer movement in the Valley. Staff here are all really friendly, as with all craft breweries. No jerks ever in my experience. All the beers I sampled were a bit watered down and weren’t as full flavored as I wanted them to be. I didn’t really have any favorties tonight. It’s a nice bar for craft bar beginners, or those accustomed to drinking Coronas and transitioning into the craft beer world. If you like lagers or beers on the lighter side you might enjoy this place. If you are a beer connoisseur, you probably won’t like the beers here. There are definitely much better quality craft breweries in Los Angeles, such as Macleod in Van Nuys, Highland Park Brewery in Highland Park, Ladyface in Agoura HIlls, Ohana in Alhambra, Monkish and El Segundo Brewery in Torrance, and Mumford Brewery in Downtown LA. You can even head to Encino far more superior, world-class craft beers at Surly Goat or Boneyard Bistro in Sherman Oaks. Crazy Harry’s Bar in Winnetka also has a nice selection of craft beers. The Patty Wagon truck was parked out front serving up their delicious burgers and fries. Check SFB Instagram page for updates and food truck announcements. Let’s all support the craft beer movement happening in the Valley and help make San Fernando Valley one of the great beer destinations in California. A good effort. Let’s hope they improve their beers with more time and practice. Cheers!

This beer is terrible. First, let me say it gives me no joy to give a craft brewing company a bad review, but their beer is just vile. When I went they only had two beers on tap. First, who opens for business with only 2 beers? Also, they don’t do tasters. The owners are extremely nice. They are an older couple and from what I understand they invested their retirement into this place and their son is the brewer. They need to hire a real brew master who can save them, because their son makes beer that tastes like dish water. First of all, I can taste the minerals in the water that they use in their beer. Also the pale ale was dark and cloudy and tasteless. I did go onto their website and I saw that they have a few more beers now. I am willing to give them one more shot and if there are any improvements I will change my review.
