I just had my wedding cake from this place and the cake was amazing, it was an exact copy of the picture i provided them. We got fruit cake and all my guest loved it. I’m definitely coming back for other events. The lady by the name Jenifer took care of my order and was very helpful, polite, and answered all my question

POS place, asked for 3 leches and received a poor excuse for a cake. Why we went here after we read the terrible reviews? Idk. Maybe it’s a different story for others but for our family and friends never again.

Since April 20^th, 2016 this place has been close for Cockroach Infestation yikes. They have a sign on their front door saying they are close for Mandatory Maintenance LIED… they don’t want us to see the sign next to the window just passing the info… Be careful

CLOSED DOWN DUE TO ROACH INFESTED BAKERY!
The city CLOSED them down weekend of ⁴⁄₂₄ DUE to roaches. They had to immediately fumigate. I order a cake a week before ⁴⁄₂₃ when I went to pick up that Saturday owner told me he didn’t make my cake Bkuz the city didn’t let them. THANK GOD I don’t want a cake where roaches are probably in the flower and mix. BUT why wait til my event to tell me. Owner couldn’t call his customers. Huge party and I had to settle for a cake at my bakery that was already made.
When I looked in the place he had bread covered with bags instead of tossing them. That’s sick.
I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND…

Guys stay the hell away from this place! Health inspectors have closed it down until further notice (possibly Monday). They have left every customer without their cake orders. I am beyond livid as this could be my wedding cake and they shut down? Never again! Taking my business with «My Family Bakery». Beyond disappointed!

The service here is great i was able to order my cake in advance for my babyshower and the people were super nice.

I DONT like tres leches cake, but there’s is sooo good because it’s not overpoweringly sweet like other places! (:

I really love be this place! Simple and delicious! Their cakes are so light and fluffy and the service is always wonderful! I am always soooo satisfied! I also love their other little treats (chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, etc.) Truly a no fuss bakery. Nothing but treats and satisfaction! What more can you ask of a bakery?

I am not a cake person, but the cakes from this bakery are exceptional! Really light fluffy and delectable. My family only gets their cake from here and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

BEST pastry shop in the entire San Fernando Valley! My family comes here for all of our special events, we just went yesterday and got an amazing strawberry chocolate cake. The cake was to die for, it had strawberries on top, with a vanilla chocolate center. The service was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, professional, really looked like she knew what she was talking about, and they prices are really reasonable.

This bakery is a must try.
My family has been buying cakes for special occasions here since i was a little girl.
They have a strawberry shortcake like cake, it is spongy and filled with strawberries and cream in the middle, sometimes they even have banana.
I think you have to order a day ahead.
I’m taking off one star because the only thing I don’t like about this place is the RUDE, short, red headed girl.
I wanted to try a sample of the tres leches cake because I don’t usually get that one and she made me buy a slice for $ 3.00!
Every bakery I have ever been to lets you sample without charge.
If I’m about to pay for a cake for a special occasion, I obviously want to make sure that I actually like it first.
I don’t think she should have made me pay for a slice since they had many slices out that I could have easily sampled.
I hope I don’t see her again next time I go because she was not friendly at all and should not be working at a customer service place if she cannot provide decent customer service.
I do like this place a lot. I just hope they hire more friendly people or I will be forced to find a new bakery.

HORRIBLE experience I have been here many times before never had this results. Ordered the cake a month ahead of time since it was specific details i wanted on there. It was paid in full and when we picked it up it was the most sloppy horrible work I have ever seen even the writing was not done correctly. I was charged extra for every single detail too! so I called to tell them what they forgot to add and all they can say is we forgot!!! We drove back they gave us what was missing for US to add to the cake and only gave me 20 $ back. The owner didn’t do anything about it the girls who took my order didn’t say anything ! Never going back!!! Do not recommend if it’s important and custom designed word of advise and take your business anywhere else !!

I love the cakes here. Everything made from scratch, delicious chiffon cakes. I have to admit I use to work here and loved watching how pastries were made. Not to mention the owner is a sweetheart.

They lack good customer service skills. I walked in and was immediately looked at like an intruder. Uh don’t you need business? Their flaky butterfly pastry was pretty good, the flan was absolutely disgusting and hard (isn’t it supposed to be a bit creamy and gel like?)

Ordered a two teared specialty cake for my sisters baby shower… First of all let me start with the staff, they are all very helpful and friendly. Second the price I paid for the quality of work they put makes me feel like I cheated them… My cake was professionally made and so inexpensive that this was a steal. It was a vanilla sponge cake with strawberry filling. The strawberries where so fresh and the cake so soft and moist it was perfect as well and the fondant had whipped cream under it was deliciously pleasant. I will definitely be coming here for my wedding cake.
I also ordered two dozen cupcakes, red velvet and chocolate with vanilla topping … The cupcakes where oh so light and perfect on topping and sweetness. May I add moist and fluffy. Just perfect. Highly recommend Lotus Bakery

Customer service was horrible. I came in to ask about cakes and prices. I am ignorant when it comes to cakes tiers so I am sorry if I irritated the young girls for asking clarifying questions in regards to what she was explaining to me after only being in there for one minute. Show me pictures or something of what a cake for 40 people would look like. I couldn’t handle the rudeness so I politely thanked her for her «help» and just walked away. Good luck people.

If you like your cake light, fluffy, moist and with whipped topping (not that nasty sugary fondant crap) you should get your cake from Lotus bakery! Cant speak for other desserts, but we ordered chocolate cake with strawberry/​banana filling and it was delicious!
Would have given this business more stars, but I ordered my cake to pick up and got there at 9, but the girl at the front told me it wasn’t ready. It was the day of my toddlers birthday party, and it being late about 45 mins to an hour REALLY set me back on time and my son and I showed up late to his own birthday party because of waiting on the cake!
I had to rush/​setting up/​set tables awkwardly while half my guests were arrived at the party already from this set back.
Everything turned out okay in the end, but probably shouldn’t repeat this! Can’t imagine how unhappy someone would be if it was for a more serious event than a kids party.
The staff I engaged with was polite, plus the cake did look and taste gorgeous so that’s redeeming!
Will come back but may order cake night before if for an event.

We ordered our wedding cake from Lotus Bakery and were incredibly happy with the service and the cake. They created a gorgeous 4-​level cake that looked and tasted amazing. Highly recommended.

Most boring cake I’ve ever tasted! I even ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate filling and it still tasted plain and bland. So disappointed with my purchase. Two stars because the cake design was good and ordering over the phone was easy. But I’m really not impressed. I might try getting a different flavor next time and see if it’ll change my mind.
