Mejor was an honest mechanic/​wner and charged a very fair price. He even had them check out other issues on my car that other «quick oil change» locations wouldn’t have done. I’d rather send my business to a place like this where they actually care about my safety and check for issues rather than passing me on with a free car wash. I will be returning in the future!

These guys were excellent. I have had a difficult time diagnosing an issue with my Toyota RAV4 and both Andy and Mejar took the time out to test drive the vehicle with me and recommend next actions. They seem very honest and forthright and I would also heartily recommend their services.

Mejar is an awesome guy! Couple of weeks ago, I had to go on a long road trip, but my car needed its timing belt changed. He was able to accommodate my schedule even though I asked him at the last minute. He completed the job within a day, and I was ready to hit the road. The price was very reasonable, and I highly recommend him.

I had to get my brake pads replaced. He said they usually only work on Japanese cars, but he took care of me since it was something basic. I drove to the shop, and since I didn’t have a ride home Mejar offered to drive me home!

Finally found a decent mechanic around this area. Honest, knowledgeable, experienced, courteous, and professional. This place is hidden so they get their business by word of mouth. I’m glad I found them on Unilocal.Before coming here I went to two mechanics around this area that have good ratings on Unilocal but this place beats them hands down. For sure will come here for any car trouble I have in the future.

Mejar and his staff are the best. He has done both major and minor work on my Lexus RX 300. I trust him and only him with my car. He is an expert with full credentials.

Major is a kind and honest mechanic. Yes I know it seems like an oxymoron, but come and see yourself. He has a very calm demeanor and when you talk to him, it feels genuine, like you are talking to a friend. He also answers your questions and takes his time to help the customer actually understand what is wrong.
The first time I came here he fixed my headlight and charged me very little. If you need help trying to figure out what is wrong with your car and what is the most affordable solution, I would highly recommend B.K. Auto Tech. So happy I found a trustful mechanic!

I went to this shop mostly because my car broke down and according to Unilocal this was the best mechanic in the area. If this is the best, then I don’t know how bad the other place are!
Let me start by saying that I know NOTHING about cars so already mistrust mechanics because I never know when they’re ripping me off. The problem with my car was that while I was driving it got so that I couldn’t change gears. It felt like my shifter was stuck in neutral. My car was towed and supposedly I had a leak in some hose that cost me $ 300 for them to fix. Then 1 week later the same problem happened. I brought my car back there, they looked under the hood, then told me there was nothing wrong, but magically after they «just looked» under the hood my car was working again. (I felt like they actually did some sort of quick fix because it makes no sense to me that all of a sudden my car just started to work again). Then one more week later and the same thing happened AGAIN!!! This time I called Major and told him he needed to come get my car because I’m tired of towing to his shop for the same reason every week without it getting fixed. I would have towed it to another shop but I already paid him $ 300 the first time so felt like he owed it to me to fix it.
Long story short, he ended up claiming I needed a new clutch (my clutch was only 2 years old!) and charged me $ 400 to get it fixed. I paid the money mostly because I needed my car but will NEVER be bringing my car there again. He should have fixed my car correctly the first time and taken the $ 300 off of the cost to change my clutch since I already paid $ 300 for him to fix a leak that was most likely never there!

OMG ! this place is the best, honest and trustworthy yes a real gentlemen and great mechanics. My estimate started high but by the time I got my bill it was at least then expected! Major (not the correct spelling but how it is pronounced) is very good at explaining what the problem is, this is my new mechanic from here on, please join me! Oh btw real nice waiting room !

THIS PLACE IS FIRST CLASS! Mejar (pronounced «Major») is the most honest mechanic I have ever experienced. He is as honest, down-​to-​earth, and trustworthy as they come! Man, I feel bad, Eddy & another guy I met too (whose name is escaping me now) were both really great too! They delivered stellar service, quickly, for a VERY reasonable price!
My 2003 4runner had been rammed sideways into a cement pillar. Front left fender bashed in enough that, even though the car was still able to physically drive, it was not drivable. The tire was rubbing up against the inside of the wheel well and in the mere mileage it took to drive home from the collision, had worn a deep gash into the rubber of the tire in a 1 inch strip so deep the steel radials inside the tire we beginning to show. I am a semi-​regular working actor/​filmmaker, and as many of you in Hollywood probably know, I needed as cheap & quick of a solution as I could get. That’s where Mejar and B.K. Auto come in.
I found them here on Unilocal,and ALL of their reviews were great, and IT IS ALL TRUE. THESE GUYS ARE HERE TO HELP YOU. I spoke to Mejar on the phone prior to coming in and he seemed very warm, friendly, receptive, and helpful. When I went down to the shop later that day, I explained to him what had happened, and that I needed my car fixed, as I use it to get to work, but that I did not have much extra money to fix it, and so, he didn’t even have to paint it, but just straighten out all the bent pieces, fix any engine work that needed fixing, and make it drivable again. As they only do engine work here, he told me they would be sending my car over to another shop for the body work.
Several days later, I got a call from this other shop, Jose, who told me the frame was bent, so to fix it, he asked me if I wanted to go ahead and straighten the frame out, since this can both be expensive and sometimes risky for the car’s structural integrity. I knew this would be at least $ 500, as he told me it COSTS HIM at least $ 300 to use the frame machine, but told him to do it anyway. A day or two later, he called me to come pick up the car, and aside from not having been painted, the car looked AMAZING. It looked and drove as though it had never been in an accident. Jose only asked for $ 400, but I still had to pay Mejar separately.
I immediately drove over to his shop from Jose’s to settle my bill. When I got there, Mejar was so incredible and understanding of my limited finances, that not only did he cut me an amazing price of $ 220 for WAY MORE HOURS OF WORK that had to be done to repair my car than that, but he told me I DIDN’T HAVE TO PAY TODAY, and could wait until I had the money. This was really huge for me! Saving that money meant putting food on my table while still getting to have my car back right away! I told him I would pay him in a week, but then it was almost a full month that passed before I was able to get enough to still pay him what I owed. I felt horrible! But when I went by the shop to deliver him what he was owed, he was so friendly and relaxed about me that I could tell he was never even worried or suspecting that I wouldn’t pay, he just trusted me and knew I would. And when you put good things out, good things come back! He is a really incredible guy and a hell of a mechanic! I will be taking my car back to him ANY time I have another problem, and I would recommend him to anyone in the greater LA area looking for a good, honest mechanic! He has clients that drive all the way from Beverly Hills just to have him service their cars! Go here and you’ll be thankful you did!

Majer actually cares about fixing your car, he has a great deal of integrity… he’s not just looking to make money. These characteristics are extremely rare in mechanics these days. He paid attention when I drove off, and noticed that two of my brake lights were out. He flagged me down, then hopped in the back of my car, where he was able to change them in like 2 minutes. I went to his shop based on reviews from Unilocal,and don’t regret it. I spent literally half of what I was quoted elsewhere, and got much better service.
He is my go-​to mechanic from now on. I want to echo the other reviews, and say that I wish I could give him more than five stars.

I was weary of going to a new mechanic and get taken advantage of. My pilot light showed maintenance req’d. I didn’t know if it will cost me just an oil change or costly repairs. I checked Unilocal for reviews, I’m happy to say, that again it pays off in reading everyone’s reviews of auto mechanics. There were many 4 – 5 star mechanics, but I was looking for close to my house so that I can get picked up. BK auto said that they even do local drop offs. It’s a small shop tucked away amongst commercial buildings with clean lobby. My car only needed oil change which was great! If my car needs anything else, I will try them again and I’ll post reviews.

I’d give them 10 stars if I could! Finally found a new mechanic! Such an honest and friendly guy. Took my car in for an oil change (only $ 25) which included a quick check up on tire pressures and all that good stuff. But I guess I was having problems with my timing belt and I had no idea. He wa nice enough to have it checked for me (no extra charge, unlike other places) and he gave me a pretty cheap deal to have it fixed. Most definitely coming back! I hear customers drive all the way to the valley just to come see him and have their cars fixed there. I would too lol. The inside is nice and cozy as well. They have a tv and couch. It was a quick oil change too!

I was recommended to this auto repair shop through a friend. I was kind of hesitant to go because it was a little out of the way and wasn’t sure if he was going to be another sleazy mechanic. I had problems with my Audi A4 there was a valve that was rattling and making some weird noise by the front right tire and I also needed a windshield replacement.
I ended up going to him and Major fixed all of these problems. There is no more rattling sound which was the Turbo that needed replacing and my windshield. Even though the windshield is not from the Audi dealership it still looks identically the same. I was originally very worried that it wasn’t going to look the same. I had such a great experience with him. He was patient and was around when I needed him. He would answer and return my calls right away which I think is important. Other mechanics seem like they are playing an avoidance game with you in trying to have your car repaired in a timely manner. It took two days to fix my car and it was very affordable. It would have cost me more that 1000 dollars somewhere else and I only paid half of that to get it fixed.
Major is an honest mechanic and he will help you save money. He has been in the business for over 20 years so he knows what he is doing. I would definitely recommend him.

I brought Major my 98 Lexus, which I had really neglected to maintain up until this point, and asked him to fix everything that he saw as needing work. The cost of this service was incredible! Far less then I’d have imagined for the amount of work that went in. He kept me up to date throughout the process and even had the car nicely cleaned, inside and out when it was ready!
I have been bringing it back to him for timely periodic maintenance ever since. I highly recommend him to all of my friends who need work on their car, and they have all been extremely happy with his services.

Just took Jane Honda in for one last round of automotive service before our big move up north to Seattle — thanks to these guys she has a clean bill of health and is winterized, tuned up, lubed up and all set to go. Majer (the owner) gave me the Groupon rate for the oil change without my having to purchase the Groupon.
Truly, these guys are among the best mechanics I’ve ever had the good fortune to find, and they shall be missed when I move away. I can only hope that I’ll find as good and honest automobile mechanics as the ones at BK Auto Tech in my new location. If you live in Los Angeles (even if you’re not in the San Fernando Valley) it’ll be worth your while to give these guys a shot. They always do the job right, and save you $$ wherever they can, without compromising quality. Tell them I sent you!

These guys are awesome. Super honest and looking to do business right! They took me in when I was in a jam pretty early and the mechanic really went the extra mile to make it affordable for me. And got me in and out in a couple of hours. Majer, the owner, gave me a great price, too. Would absolutely recommend.
