No show!!!
We booked a month ahead of time and received an email confirmation within a few days. As our booking date grew closer, we tried calling to re-​confirm services. No answer. Needless to say, the day of our event they were a no show! No phone call, no email– NOTHING! Horrible company. Completely unreliable. Highly unprofessional.

Terrible customer service!
Although the company was quick to respond to an inquiry, all further inquiries by me through email or their voice mail took days to respond (they never returned a phone call). As the date for our limo grew closer, I grew more worried as they were non-​responsive. As I stared to look for another company «just in case», I came across the Unilocal reviews and sad to say, the negative reviews seemed right on point. I then tried calling them to give them a last chance, but the phone number they gave me in an email had been changed to someone running for office. I checked their website and it said, «We have stepped out. We’ll be right back». Even though they confirmed my limo two weeks ago, they never called to say the could not do it. I would have been left stranded with a party of 10 people if I didn’t check. Needless to say, I left messages to cancel as well as wrote emails to cancel. They did acknowledge the cancellation within hours, but no apologies were given. They need a lot of work.

I will be sending a separate email requesting a refund or LivingSocial credit for this voucher. I have purchased many LivingSocial vouchers over the years and have thoroughly enjoyed every single one except this one.
Congressional limo was extremely unprofessional in more ways than one. First, they made no apparent effort to accommodate my schedule or needs; second, they rescheduled my limousine pick up time three times; finally, THEY CANCELED MY LIMOUSINE TWO HOURS BEFORE I WAS SCHEDULED TO BE PICKED UP. They sent an email saying our limousine had been canceled and offered absolutely no recourse or alternative to complete our order. The email even explicitly said «Please do not call us. There is no one in the office.»
I have never been so infuriated by the apparent lack of professionalism in this company. I will NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone.

I used Congressional Limo for my birthday last weekend. I could not have been happier!!! When the limo pulled up at our pick up location, I was so excited! It was the prettiest limo I had ever been in. So nice and clean. It was stocked with beverages for us to enjoy on our ride to Hollywood. We had several pick ups stop to get my friends and our driver was wonderful and easy to work with. Everyone was impressed with this experience. We had so much fun drinking and playing music. Our driver was really nice and made sure I was happy the whole evening. It was easy to communicate with him. He was also dressed really nice. I highly recommend this company for anyone who wants a high end experience for a special occasion.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Pretty much because they didn’t even show up. This is the second time that they didnt show up. After an hour late we called them and they said they would be an hour that they were on their way. Then they just never came and wouldn’t answer their phone. Hours later my friends husband posted on their Facebook and they finally called her and said that they might be having mechanical issues and that they weren’t answering the phones for anybody. Awful, unprofessional, and if my friends weren’t such good spirits it could have completely ruined this bachelorette party. And I am writing this from a cab with an awesome driver who is munchin on Cheetos and cruising us around Santa Monica

My friends and I had an all-​around perfect experience with this company. We used the $ 200 LivingSocial deal for a five hour trip including champagne. Our point of contact was friendly, communicative, and very flexible to our changing needs and requests.
The limo was on time, was huge and fully stocked, and our driver was flexible to the requests of five champagne drinking girls.
During the booking process, we haven’t had a questions and changes made about pick up time, size of Limo, etc. etc. None of these were a problem and every request was met. The price we got was fantastic, but I would use them again for a full price trip.

I had bought a living social voucher a while back, however when I called to book a limo I was told that there was no limo available. I was advised to request a refund from living social. The person I spoke to at Congressional limo service was honest about not having any limos available as it was for my wedding. After several attempts to try to contact Living Social for a refund or credit, living social contacted me back and lied to me that I was trying to book a limo a day before the wedding, and that they would not refund me. I called Congressional and spoke with Venice. Venice listened to my concern and contacted Living Social on my behalf. I got an email back from living social about an hour later that they would refund me the whole amount. I plan on booking directly with Congressional limo services in the future and refuse to use living social for any services. I’m completely disappointed in living social as I feel they oversell vouchers which can result in businesses not being able to accommodate. Thank you Venice and Congressional limo services in helping me obtain a refund!

I waited to post this until my chargeback went through with my American Express. Here is my experience with Congressional Limo:
I bought a package from Living Social for $ 200.00 for a limo service for 5 hours from Congressional Limo Services. I have the emails showing the confirmation of the service at 1 pm on 8÷17÷13 for my best friend’s Bachelorette Party. At 1:30 pm the limo was still not at the designated pick up location in Santa Monica, CA so I called the company. They stated they were in traffic by the Getty Museum and are getting off the freeway at Sepulveda Blvd and they were at and that they would be late. I called again at 2 pm and they said they would check into where the limo was and would call me back ASAP. After numerous calls with no response I finally got an email at 2:48pm stating:
Valerie, This is Venice. My operations manager who has informed me that you have left two messages. I was informed about 20 minutes ago that there was a mechanical brake failure on the limousine that was on the way to you. I am attempting to contact another limousine company to try to get a limousine to you.
I am also contacting LivingSocial to provide you with a full refund. In the event that we are not able to service you, we will gladly provide a limousine service for 4 hours at no cost to you. Currently I am in the process for forwarding calls to our operations manager as I am dealing with the mechanical emergency.
Please understand that your safety is number one to us and that is why I am not allowing the limousine to continue to your location and am trying to find another company as we speak. I will keep you informed. Sent from my iPhone
Right as I was reading the email the company representative finally called me back. I asked why the freeway looked clear on Google Maps but they said there was traffic and asked where the limo had broken down since things didn’t seem to be adding up. They stated that they left the Long Beach area at noon. To go from Long Beach to Santa Monica you are never anywhere close to the Getty Museum so I felt that they had lied to me about the traffic as why they were late and now didn’t trust the brake failure story.
On 8÷19÷13 I got an email from the company asking me what I wanted to resolve the issue. On 8÷20÷13 I told them I wanted the full refund that they promised me. I never heard back until 8÷27÷13 when I emailed again asking for an update and they stated:
Valerie, We are no longer responding to you as you and your party posted negative comments about our company, which was why we were reaching out to you to prevent such action. Being that you have already done so, we will honor the LivingSocial voucher as purchased on those terms, however, nothing more. We have spoken to Livingsocial about this situation, and the have notated the situation. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time. Sincerely, Sean Wesson
Is this the way a company should be treating its customers? They didn’t like my friends review on Unilocal so now they wouldn’t give us the refund they promised us? I did finally get the full refund but only because American Express is awesome. I wouldn’t work with these guys at all ever again!

Very pleased with our limo service yesterday. Company owner Venice was very professional and accommodating. Promptly got us to Spago in Beverly Hills for our lunch reservation. It was very nice to relax, sip on some champagne and be transport along with great friends. Excellent birthday experience!

I would not use this service if you want to get somewhere.
Originally I bought a coupon through Living Social for a limo transfer with Congressional Limousine Service.
After speaking with James, the owner of Congressional he advised me that he was unavailable for the next month and a half. He phoned back and advised me that he had another car that was bigger and he would give me that instead of what I paid for with Living Social.
This all sounded great… the transfer was for a group of friends for a birthday dinner. Phoned James the day of & confirmed. The pick up was for 6pm, dinner at 6:30. Received a message from a women at around 545pm advising me that the driver was going to the doctor, hospital and they had no cars.
I tried calling them right back but no answer… still no answer… which is way I am writing this.
I feel it was handled very unprofessionally. I would not be able to recommend this company.

Wedding day limousine service was amazing. I was hesitant after reading some of the previous reviews, but I had a great offer from Living Social that was helpful in saving some money (we all know how expensive weddings get…).
Making a reservation seemed easy enough, but when I made the reservation I didn’t have the specifics of the day planned, so I left some of the online information form blank. I received a confirmation email, so I thought all was ok. Fast forward 2 months to the week of the wedding. Since I hadn’t heard back from the company, I called to check and make sure all was well. Then I got the terrible news that because I didn’t fill out the details of where and when to pick up and drop off, and I missed their deadline to do so they canceled my reservation. I was panicked and implored with Venice, the owner to help because my wedding was riding on it. He said he would call back and see what can be done. I was desperate.
To make a very long story short, he ended up making arrangements to get us a bigger SUV limo (which cost a little more money) and assured me that all will be well for the day of the wedding. I was relieved but still skeptical, but I trusted his word. And voila, everything went off without a hitch. He showed up where he was supposed to be at the right time, with the red carpet and champagne and drinks in tow (we ended up not drinking anything but water due to the hot weather, but it was very nice). The limo was beautiful (I was worried that it would look gaudy with this big SUV as limo, but it was fantastic!) and gleaming in the sunlight. Venice himself was a total pleasure and treated myself and the wedding party so well and stood by for us as we got ready for the wedding festivities to start.
I feel bad about the bad reviews because I think it’s really a great company, but perhaps misunderstandings occurred with past Unilocalers? And maybe overrun with Living Social deal, which can totally happen. I was really thankful and impressed by the way the owner of the company recovered a potentially disastrous situation and worked with me to get the problem resolved. Things happen in life, and I guess as long as it can be worked out, I’m fine with it. I’m just thankful that my wedding day was that much better with their limo service involved.

If I could give them less than 1 star I would!!! These guys are complete SCAM artist!!! If you have a Living Social Voucher you may as well call right now for a refund!!! According to the idiot that answered the phone — ALL of their cars have been vandalized and they don’t have any replacements — they apparently notified ALL of the Living Social customers to inform them of this terrible tragedy.
Thank goodness I had enough sense to call and confirm for my pickup the next day or like some of these poor brides; I’d be standing in front of my house wait for NOBODY!!! Thank you Congressional Limousine for potentially ruining a great night!

Wow. So sad to see all these terrible reviews. Idk what happened but we had a great experience with the living social deal for a concert/​girls night out back in August. Driver was prompt, very friendly, skilled driver even in crazy downtown LA traffic.
I would absolutely use and recommend based on that experience.

All I can do is echo the negative reviews already written. My maid of honor made a reservation for this weekend over a month ago. When she called earlier this week to confirm the time, they had lost our reservation and no longer had any availability. After one employee insulted my friend and basically called her a liar, the owner made a feeble attempt to remedy the situation by contacting other limo companies (which he later referred to as «bending over backwards to provide us customer service»). In the end, he offered no solution except for suggesting I attempt to get a refund from living social which they are no longer willing to offer since I bought the voucher over a month ago. At least living social comprehends the notion of customer service and was willing to give me a credit.
While I appreciate his claimed attempt to find a solution, he in no way provided the service I paid for. In order to avoid incompetence and condescension, I STRONGLY urge you to avoid this company, regardless of any deals you find.

Limo stood us up on my wedding day!
L made the reservation. They called the night before to confirm — cool. Morning of, limo was scheduled to arrive at 8:30am. Four bridesmaids & I were waiting. At 8:30, L decided we should wait on the street, so we hauled our dresses, food, etc outside. Not a soul in sight — bad sign. L kept calling and only got voice mail. Waited until 9:00am because that’s when the office was supposed to open. Still no answer. Finally, we went on our own in 2 cars.
Around 11:00am, L finally got in touch with an actual person. Owner apologized profusely. To his credit, he did the best he could — refunded our $, assured he would pick us up at the end of the night himself and showed up in an upgraded limo. For this, I won’t give 1 star. The company needs a better check system in case drivers go AWOL. What’s to prevent this from happening again? L should have been able to talk to someone at 8:30am and a backup should have been deployed then.
P. S. Normally I’d be insanely stressed over being late, but that day I wasn’t. We had extra time built into the prep schedule, so I stayed cool as a cucumber :)

My maid of honor booked a reservation for my bachelorette party to go wine tasting. She and I both bought the Living Social deal. I was going to use it for my wedding. After sending an email and online request to set up the date, and never hearing back, I called and was told they were fully booked for my wedding date but I should request a refund from Living Social. When I requested a refund, they refused and stated they contacted the limo company and that they said no such thing.
Lies to start off with… should have known better what was to come for my bachelorette party! I’ve tried several times to contact them and haven’t gotten a response.
My maid of honor was in touch with the company several times before the date to confirm. When the day of the bachelorette arrived, we sat around for 20 mins after the appointment time and called to see if they were coming. They stated they were stuck in traffic but would be there in an hour, tops. The hour came and went with no limo or phone call. 2 hours went by with us calling and not getting through. Finally, the company called us back and said the car broke down. They stated they would give us a refund and also a free limo ride around town that evening. Of course, they never called us that evening. The following Monday, they contacted my friend to see how they could resolve the issue. She stated that she should get a refund. Its been over a week and they won’t respond to her back to her email.
I can understand if some of these small companies get overwhelmed when doing a deal offer. However, they should have been prepared to deal with the volume. Traffic happens and cars break down but not calling us right away to let us know is completely unprofessional. We weren’t able to arrange any other transport and our wine tasting plans were ruined.
The fact that they said they would give my friend and me a refund but now won’t respond back is another example of their poor business practices.
I wouldn’t trust them to handle any sort of special occasions.

My girlfriends and I just used Congressional Limousine Service last night for a Bachelorette Party and WE ALL LOVE this limo service!
Finding a quality and an affordable limo service for a bachelorette party is difficult and expensive — it’s usually $ 500 plus. I have planned (3) bachelorette parties within the last year — so I’ve done my limo service research. =) I purchased a Living Social deal that was $ 120 (plus a fuel surcharge of $ 65) — note this does not include tax or gratuity.
I was so happy with Congressional Limousine Service and I am so shocked with the other reviews on Unilocal.I do recommend planning a month in advance (at a minimum) to ensure that you have your reservation in the system so that there will not be any issues (considering all the other weddings, bachelorette, birthday, etc. parties out there).
All I can say is that my girlfriends and I had a wonderful experience. The deal on Living Social was affordable and the owner was very helpful, professional, on-​time, responsive and accommodating. My girlfriends had so much fun and the night was memorable because of this limo service company. Thank you so much Congressional Limousine Service!

I called on a Tuesday requesting for a Limo Friday. The representative did not bother to give me much information maybe because I began my request with Living Social. The rep was rude when I asked for Friday and he just went on telling me that it was all booked. You guys are losing out clients and future clients to other companies (maybe this is what you guys want). When a company decides to put their company up on sites like Living Social I am sure they will be expecting a heavier volume of clients from Living Social. Someone who knows how to run a business should understand having a good relationship will your clients will bring you more clients for your business (word of mouth and such) The company does have false advertisement stating that they have limos any time and any day. Rude Rep & Don’t bother even calling!

I purchased a Living Social deal for this company so that my friends and I could take a limo to the Rose Bowl for a concert. Before I purchased the deal, I emailed the company and asked a bunch of questions to make sure I wouldn’t be charged any «hidden fees» and that I would be able to use the deal when I wanted to. He was very responsive and helpful, so I went ahead and purchased.
Right after, I emailed the company rep all of the details so that I could reserve the limo as soon as possible. 4 days went by and I did not hear back, so I decided to call and see if I could get the guy on the phone. He answered but said he was at a doctor’s appointment and could he call me back. Thought that was kind of weird but I said sure, and never got a call back. I ended up having my friend try to call and she left a pretty stern voicemail expressing our frustration. She got a call back and the rep left her a message saying that they had a client who booked all their limos so he wouldn’t be able to accommodate her request. Obviously that made me very anxious and nervous. I finally got an email back the next day saying the same thing but that the client wasn’t 100% in need of all the limos and there was a possibility that one would be available and he would let me know when he knew for sure. I said thank you and never once heard back from him. I ended up cancelling my deal and getting a refund.
This company needs to either hire more employees or someone to deal with customer service because they do not have any and do not know how to run a company well. I do not recommend using this company.
