They always have great service and are willing to help, no matter how small your order is-​one time the clerk helped me get several nails and a small latch and didn’t even mind that it was such a small order.
(And it took him a while to find those particular nails as they have lots!).
I keep going back also because they often go over and above-​one time we bought a large rain barrel but discovered it wouldn’t fit in our car, and the guy actually dropped it off at our house for free!
Great service, I will keep returning!

The good guys are here at San Dimas Hardware. A big difference from a visit at the big box stores which can’t come close to this degree of dedicated personal customer support. A return to the elegant, simple and obvious.

I have lived in San Dimas for 32 years, and have shopped at San Dimas Hardware frequently. One great benefit of the store, which no one has really addressed is this: they are often the ONLY store in the area that has individual parts of larger items or a number of replacement pats to keep your _​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​ (fill in the blank!) running or functioning.
My most recent case needed hardware involved the toilet seat cover on an oak toilet seat; one of the brass connectors broke. And so I just removed the cover. Well, after looking online for the hardware, I finally found hardware the appeared to be right, but for a higher price than expected. So, I figured the hardware store would have it, and, sure enough, they did. And the price was reasonable.
My kind of store! They will also order things you need, but don’t have. They’ll even send you to King Bolt in Covina, if you are looking for an unusual thread size. King Bolt is worth it’s own 5-​star review!

This place is great! I am a single female and I needed help w some basic maintenance around my place. I asked their employees for help and everyone knew exactly what I needed. They helped me pick out stuff but didn’t try to make me buy stuff that I didn’t need. They also said I could bring in pieces and they would help me to figure out what I would need to fix things. It was nice having the employees help and instructions so I could come home and do it myself. I had also left a part that I brought w me in the store and they were kind enough to find me in the parking lot and bring it to me. They seem to have everything at this store, even some candy. Will definitely return and I would highly recommend them.

It’s my husband’s favorite shop. Anytime when he needs hard to find tools, he’ll find them there. Always. Perfect customer service and organized. Thank you Ace.

Located in downtown San Dimas, it’s very easy to park and navigate through the store, unlike big box stores down the street. The staff are friendly and long-​time employees, which I love. They are knowledgeable and very helpful.
Lastly, I love the atmosphere there… very family orientated, and as mentioned in previous reviews, you get that home-​town, vintage feeling. Love it.

This place is the BEST!!! Always welcomed and great help. They are always so helpful from Christmas light decorating and supplies, to ordering on-​line with local pick up to school projects and community service. I can trust them and their advice. Thank you for your help I will be back.

First time today to make a copy of a key and from the second i walked through the door the staff was very welcoming. Cashier directed me to the are where they make the keys and right away called someone to assist me. Gentleman was very nice and polite. Not from the area so its quite nice to have employees as courteous as they were. Thank you!

Every time I walk into this place it reminds of the good old days! It’s is a true hardware store. It’s in a good location of old town San Dimas. It’s always easy to find a parking spot. They always have the chrome bolts that I need for my hot rod.

This store has such a hometown feel and love it! You would think that because of its size they would not have as much availability but EVERY time I cant find something in one of the other big box stores, I find it here! Maybe not a lot of lumber etc… but ALWAYS has that one thing (and has been multiple times!) that I cant find anywhere else… Everything is packed in there but if you have a hard time finding something, ask they are always read to help. would have given 5 but usually items are a little more than where you would find elsewhere. everything else top notch.

This is the place to go for all the hardware and help you need. They have so much and will willingly order what they don’t have. They have personnel who understand how to use what they sell and will work with you as you go through a solution to your problem. Their costs are generally competitive with big box stores but even when items are a little more expensive it is well worth the extra cost because of all the expert help that comes along with it. A true treasure that I use regularly and thankfully.

Quick, friendly, and helpful service. They had hardware for my sliding glass door that neither Home Depot or Lowe’s carried. Love this place! I will always start my search for hardware or anything here from now on.

This is a real hardware store. Every time you walk in there is a friendly competent person in the front that takes you to the part you need. They have stuff there that you can’t find at any big box store & if they don’t have it they will order it & have to the store in a couple of days.

Little gem of an old school family style hardware store with very helpful & friendly staff. This is my new favorite ACE. Used to love the one in old town La Verne, but it was forced out of business when OSH opened. Thank goodness this place is intact despite Lowe’s & Home Depot being nearby! The personalized service here cannot be beat. Needed help with daughter’s science experiment & knowledgeable staff gave us the proper tools & some know how. And what we did not end up needing was returned with no hassles!

My first stop for anything hardware related. Unless I am looking for big ticket items or larger pieces of lumber, this place has what I need. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Talk about everything you need in one spot! If you are claustrophobic then get exposure treatment here! Every isle is jam packed with many varieties of whatever you are looking. You will even find things you didn’t know you needed. Will definitely become a regular here.
