Just had my hair and makeup by Luong Lasting (Tammy on hair; Kim and Mai on makeup duty). What an amazing team! They did an awesome job without even doing a trial! I had a trial hair/​makeup run with a VERY well known Paris By Night makeup artist (won’t mention names) for my engagement/​prewedding photos and Luong Lasting put him to shame. They did a wonderful job on our hair and makeup (5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and me). Eyebrows on point, contour just right, stray hairs tucked away, make up last all day, and so much more! They are professional, prompt, reliable, friendly, fun, and extremely talented! I can’t say enough good things about this team! Highly recommended!

Two months ago I wrote a review after having my hair & makeup done for my friend’s wedding. This time I’m writing a review for my own wedding.
I got married 3 weeks ago and I really couldn’t be happier with my hair & makeup. Let’s rewind back to when I first reached out to Luong Lasting Team, I actually got really lucky because I was cutting it close to the wedding day, but luckily my wedding date was still available. Phew! Luong Lasting’s assistant was so quick to reply back to all my emails, which I appreciate so much. She/​he set up my trial appointment for that following week and after having my trial, I knew I had to book them. My hair artist was Uyen & my makeup artist was Sandra. They are both amazing! They really listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure I felt comfortable. I got so many compliments from our wedding guests about my hair & makeup. And guess what, guys?! Both my hair & makeup lasted ALL DAY AND NIGHT. That’s 14 hours, y’all! Oh, and my bridesmaids all loved their hair & makeup, too! Thank you so so sooo much, Luong Lasting Team!

All the girls that are a part of this team are great! They want to make sure you always look perfect for whatever event you have. Customer service has been incredible, They are super accommodating, and they also do a phenomenal job for hair and make up!

I can’t thank this incredible team enough! Every single one of my bridesmaids and ladies in my bridal party looked amazing. As a bride, I had Tina set up an area away from all the girls in case I started to get wedding jitters. Chatting with her just helped put me at ease, so much so that the time passed so quickly. In what seemed like a short period of time, Tina transformed me into perfection! I’ve never felt more beautiful in my life! My husband and I chose to do a first look… it was just the reaction I’d dreamed of! With tears in his eyes, he said, «oh my gosh! I got married on Feb 20, 2016. Kim did my hair and makeup. And 4 other girls came and was able to do 8 bridesmaids plus 6 family members. All of them did a phenomenal job! Kim did my hair and makeup exactly how I wanted it and the bridesmaids turned out absolutely stunning. And to make them even more awesome, there was a road block to our venue the day of, which put them about 1.5 hours behind. They saw 2 of my bridesmaids on the side of the road and started on their makeup then! All in all they finished all of us on time and I couldn’t be anymore happy and pleased with their service. I highly recommend!

I booked everything online, they responded very promptly and were professional. They suggested that I book my trial make up the same day as my engagement shoot which was a great idea! They asked me to send them inspiration pictures before hand and determined the right make up artist for me.
I had my trial with Kim, who is actually one of the owners. She was awesome! She listened to what I wanted and also made suggestions. I loved my make up and hair, by far the best I’ve had. Can’t wait for my wedding day!

All I can say is WOW… My hair and my makeup was a hit and I didn’t change one thing to my makeup as I normally do every photoshoot I have. I loved how quick and efficient their team was and the high quality makeup that they used!

I just want to thank Tina and her team Luong Lasting for doing such an amazing job on hair and makeup for my wedding. They did a total of 5 bridesmaids, 1 bride (me), 2 moms and even made my niece who was my flower girl feel special too! They worked efficiently and thoroughly. More importantly they made everyone, including myself feel and look beautiful!. With luong lasting they made sure to listen to what you want and delivers beyond what you envisioned.
Originally during my trial we did a certain style but on the actual day we did a complete flip in style and Tina did it oh so perfectly! Without any time constraints! I’m truly grateful for that!

Years before I ever got engaged. Like 5 years before! I made up my mind that Tina Luong was going to me my MUA for my wedding!
I loved her work from the beginning and if she can make sexy import models look banging she can sure as hell make a bride-​to-​be glamorous for all her engagement shoots!
My wedding is coming up May 2016 so I have to do a follow up review /​post after my big day. But I have already used Tina for hair makeup for my engagement shoots twice. Sandra for makeup for my friends wedding where I was a bridesmaid. Tammy for hair for my engagement shoot. Tammy is also both my fiancé hair person we go to regularly for hair cuts :). This team is the most professional group! If you go somewhere else prepared to be disappointed!

Usually my Unilocal reviews start off with «How I stumbled across a vendor…». However, with Luong Lasting, I was fortunate enough for them to stumble across one of my «disappointed Unilocal reviews» for another artist. Basically, the other artist I was inquiring on was too busy to let me know she was too busy. Anyway, that review is for the other artist.
Tina initially reached out to me through Unilocal inquiring on if I was still looking for an artist. Which I was. I would have never found Luong Lasting since their territory is in LA and I was restricting my search to artists only in OC. When I initially spoke with Tina, she asked me a few basic questions to understand which artist to match me up with. I expressed that I liked the smoky eyes look and having good eyebrows was important. Based off my makeup style, Tina’s recommendation was to pair me up with her sister Kim.
Kim is amazing! She knows how to apply make up on asians. She is great with eyebrows and not to mention contouring! Kim is truly talented!
You can put your mind at ease to know Luong Lasting shows up ON TIME the day of your wedding! I’ve heard horror stories recently about other artists showing up late. You don’t have to worry about Luong Lasting, they are punctual, professional and funny! Fun group of girls to work with.
Thank you Kim, Tina and the rest of the Luong Lasting team. You made myself, and my bridal party beautiful the day of my wedding. I wish you all the best! I will definitely consider using Luong Lasting again for any of my make up needs and recommend you to everyone I know!

Wedding Day Review:
Again, I’m totally in awe of Tina and her generosity. Our trial was beyond my expectations. It not only showed the world that I could be as girly as I only dreamed of, but that I could enjoy this other side of me.
Tina was to do hair and makeup for me, my sister, my mom and mother-​in-​law. I had no ‘wedding party’ and wanted to keep it intimate.
Instead, Tina surprised me with two other lovely ladies from her team. They too were beautiful and talented. My family raved about them when the wedding was over. It’s great to have such high energy ladies to do your makeup and hair. As the bride, you’re thinking about so many things, it’s hard to soak it all in.
With Tina, I could be myself and start to relax into the day. We started around 10am and finished at 1pm, one hour early than projected!
Tina even helped me get dressed. I straight up got naked in front of her whole team, like they were family and Tina helped tie my halter dress and satin belt (made myself).
I can’t say enough at how much I love this lady. It’s not just her skill, it’s her character (which I always pay attention to)
On the makeup:
During the trial, I found that the fake full set of lashes were too heavy and uncomfortable for me. Tina recommended that I get lash extensions. So I did! I got a half-​set (because I couldn’t lay there for another 30 mins) and got them about 2 days before the wedding. They were much lighter and so I didn’t have to put any mascara or more lashes (which is good bc I have sensitive eyes). We went for 3 layers of lip stain, airbrushed foundation and simple golden eyes with liner. Boom. Felt so light and more importantly, I still felt like me. Oh! and thrice importantly, my husband thought it was perfect. Not too much and not too little.
The lip stain and eye makeup stayed all night through eating, drinking, crying (oh so much crying). And I wasn’t even careful (even though she told me to lol)

I met the Luong Lasting team when I was bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding. I had already booked my MUAs for my wedding in a couple of months but had some hesitations. I didn’t completely love my MUA and after meeting Tina and Sandra, I knew I had to book Luong Lasting for my wedding!
I can’t say enough amazing things about Sandra. We texted during the days leading up to my wedding and she was always so quick to respond to all my questions. I’m super low key when it comes to make up and I never really love how I look when I’m all done up (especially when a pro is doing my make up). Sandra really listened to me and asked if she could come early to make sure she gets everything right.
Needless to say, Sandra is a perfectionist. But unlike most perfectionists (aka: me), she is patient. I was able to give her my honest feedback and she’d make adjustments along the way. My make up lasted through sweat, tears and hugs & kisses and by the end of the night, it looked like I was freshly made up. When I saw photos from that day/​night, I couldn’t believe how much I loved my make up. A poor make up job could really ruin your wedding photos and I am so thankful I can look at mine and love them ALL!
Sandra also did my mom and my two MOHs make up and they all were blown away. My mom said she loved her look more than her own wedding day. My MOH who lives in LA has been recommending Sandra to everyone! See the pics in this review and you’ll see why they love her so much! :)
Sandra is a hard worker and no matter how much champagne we tried to offer her, she kept working. ;-) I wish I could have another wedding just to book Sandra again. She will most certainly be the first person I call the next time I need make up done or a friend asks for a recommendation.
Can’t say enough amazing things about this team. Love love love.
PS: Love that they use Venmo. Just makes life so much easier.

Tina saved my life!!! Not literally, but close. I usually shave my own head and when I have a special event come up, I usually do it a couple hours before hand so I can look as clean as possible.
This is where my story begins. A couple hours before a friends engagement party, I decided to do the usually shave before getting ready, but my shaver had different plans; it decided today was the day it stops working… MID SHAVE! So there I am, staring at my half finished shave and I started freaking out! I called up a friend and told her to help me out but she was working. She texted me a number and told me to call. I called and Tina picked up, I embarrassedly explained my situation to her and after a couple giggles, she said I could come in and she’ll squeeze me in. So I put on a hat and went straight there.
Before I could even introduce myself, she knew it who I was and said, «don’t worry, I’ll take care of you» smiling. She made me feel so comfortable and her tone and vibe really calmed me down. Took her about 5 mins to fix my mistake and I felt brand new again.
Overall, she made me feel comfortable and helped me realize everything was going to be okay. She was friendly and very helpful. Her salon was clean and welcoming. If I had actually hair to work on, I would definitely come to her.

One of my favorite places to get my hair and makeup done. Haven’t found any other place that compares to the Luong Lasting Team.
Kim has done my hair/​makeup several times and I loved it. She is so sweet, easy to talk to and pays attention to detail. Their airbrush makeup stays on throughout the day. Hair stays in place all day too. If I don’t wash my hair, I’ll still get compliments the next day.
Would highly recommend hair and makeup for any occasion (engagement, wedding, Photoshoot, baby shower, birthday, etc). Thank you Luong Lasting Team!!! Will definitely come back.

Makeup, up-​dos, down-​dos, half-​dos, ANYTHING you want. These ladies go above and beyond!
I’ve had many friends book the Luong Lasting team for their weddings and they always look flawless! Just look at the pictures and you’ll see — photos turn out AMAZING. Tina really knows her makeup! She knows what looks best on your face shape, skin tone, and what really lasts throughout the day. Rosie is great and did an adorable up-​do on my short hair! Did NOT think up-​dos were possible on my short hair! Loved IT!

For my makeup, I was looking for a soft, romantic look and PD was on point. I’m not usually too picky with my makeup, but since I’m so used to the way I’ve been doing my own makeup for years, it’s hard to venture out and try something different. PD 100% put my mind at ease and exceeded all of my expectations. She was such a sweet girl to work with and thanks to her, I got so many compliments throughout the day (yes, the makeup lasted all day!).
Uyen did my hair for this look and I’m telling you, this girl is MAGIC. I was so impressed at how easily she was able to tame my Hagrid hair. I put this girl to work. In addition to her hair wizardry, she was so easy to get along with — professional, but silly and down-​to-​earth. She was very helpful throughout the process, which was wonderful because I’m probably the most indecisive person you’ll ever meet. Please don’t hesitate to book her!
These girls are now my go-​to team to get my glam on!

5 Stars well deserved for the very incredibly talented Sandra who did my make up for a themed photo shoot yesterday morning.
I had contacted Luong Lasting a few weeks ago to inquire about getting my make up done (just make up, which cost $ 85) for July 25. One of the owners emailed me back to let me know that they would be available to do my makeup at 5:30 am. After I had explained what I was looking for and stressed the importance of needing to be done by 6:30 am, she suggested that I come at 5 am.
On these Unilocal photos and on Luong Lasting’s business website, I only saw photos of beautiful brides and their bridesmaids and Asian girls modeling in front of cars in suggestive poses (both of which I clearly was not looking for). So I asked if Luong Lasting could provide me some sampled photos of what the make artist she had in mind for me. She provided me a link to see some of Sandra’s work, which I was impressed and pleased with what I saw. Shortly after that, I went forward and booked an appointment for July 25.
Yesterday morning, I ended up arriving earlier to the make up studio than anticipated and so Sandra told me we can go ahead and get started earlier. She was so friendly and I enjoyed my conversation with her. She checked in with me at every step to make sure I was happy with the look she was creating for me.
I brought a photo of what I wanted for my eyes and left the rest of my face to her, which was bright blue eye shadow with cute little blue bows near my eyebrow. Because this took quite a long time, she was only able to have enough time to put one blue bow near my right eyebrow. I told her I was fine with just one bow (I thought my look still looked quite cute with one bow). I also told her that if we do not have time to finish my face, I would be okay with just false lashes and no color on my lips (just to let you know, I am really a plain Jane, as I rarely wear make up). She moved quickly as the time got closer to 6:30 am, as she really wanted to make sure that I had my false lashes, blush and color on lips. Even in her quick pace, my face looked flawless. I was ready for my photo shoot. I was in my car driving away at 6:35 am.
Sandra is a really nice relaxed person. She is extremely talented and I would not hesitate to contact Luong Lasting in the future and request for Sandra.
By the way, the make up studio is located in a business area, specifically inside a little business office with the name KROPS (the sign only has the KROPS name and not Luong Lasting’s company name). There is plenty of parking and located very close to the 210 freeway.

Well what can I say about Tina and her team that I hadn’t said before. They do phenomenal work and nothing can attest to that more than my bridesmaids and all the guests that had to stare at them for hours during our wedding.
Now my girls are individually picky in their own way with regard to how they want their make up and hair done. We’ve been in each other’s weddings, and we’ve have to correct the work done by the hired make up artist. At some point, we just opted to do our own.
This time, my girls and I were putting our trust in Tina and crew. She showed up to our hotel timely, I mean seriously, I was in the restroom doing my morning business when she texted me they were there already. It was 7AM, right on schedule. I woke up all the girls who were still zonked out from partying the night before. Tina and crew set up while the girls were rubbing the sleep out of their eyes. Shortly after, they got started with the bridesmaids.
I gave my girls the freedom to pick whatever hair and make up they wanted, based off their own preferences. I wanted them to feel comfortable and beautiful all day. Luong Lasting handled their requests and numerous changes without fail. Tina made me feel like I was glowing and beautiful, ready to be seen by the guy that has to unfortunately get stuck with me forever.
So as the kids nowadays say, eyebrows on fleek.
Everyone told me how wonderful the girls looked and who I used for hair/​mu. Our looks stayed all day and I even had to make a conscious effort to remove it at the end of the night.
Tina also was able to cover up some ink on my shoulder blades so well that you couldn’t even tell I had any there.
Oh and more importantly, not one girl had to touch up their face to alter or add to what the make up /​hair team did. And that speaks volumes.

I hired Luong Lasting’s team to help me on a pageant I competed in. I had a trial run with Tina, Kim, and Uyen, and on the day-​of, the trio also were the ones who primarily did my hair and makeup. We went through 4 look changes, and I was very pleased with each one.
Their prices are extremely reasonable for the amazing work that they do. I will definitely use them for future events where professional makeup and/​or hair is necessary, and recommend them to others.

I had the pleasure of working with Tina Luong 4 times! My husband was the one who actually found/​referred me to Luong Lasting ! Tina did my hair/​make-​up for my bridal trial, my engagement session, my tea ceremony, and my traditional ceremony/​reception.
I have never met such a professional yet down to earth make-​up artist. The best part about it, is she’s actually amazingly talented! Her personality is so relaxed, down to earth, and yet still very serious about make-​up and hair.
I have never met someone so passionate about make-​up and hair until I met other members of her team, Tammy and Kim! I personally worked with Tina for all of my services, being the bride. However, Tammy and Kim, along with Tina, helped beautify my 6 amazing bridesmaids, my mommy and my mother-​in-​law! I have never seen anyone touch my maid of honor’s eyebrows with such ease, haha.
I was so delighted to here my bridesmaids and two moms so happy with how their hair and make-​up turned out for the wedding! We were just a hot wedding party, no shame, no doubt thanks to Luong Lasting!
Tina was so flexible, especially being such a fickle-​minded bride. I was extremely stressed and indecisive, as every bride would be, but she made the process easy for me. She made me aware of when I should update her and when to communicate with her about dates/​times and hair styles.
The quality of the services provided by Luong Lasting was beyond the greatest of expectations. I felt Tina enhanced beauty that was already there without making me feel uncomfortable or insecure about my features I am not so proud of. :)
I am truly so grateful to have met these wonderful ladies, who are actually fun people to talk to. Not only are they talented, but they are such great personable people!
I highly recommend this group of ladies for any event if you just want look good, feel good, or just want to have a great time laughing/​talking!
