Judy and Gavin Photography

I’m so glad we chose Judy and Gavin for our engagement/​wedding pictures. They are so fun and easy going, yet professional to work with and you can really tell they love what they do. They managed to shoot our wedding pictures and even engagement pictures in 2.5 hours in the middle of Downtown LA (we did an outfit change) and we are so excited with how are pictures came out. We really couldn’t have asked for more.

This needs to be considered as a double review — Gavin photographed our wedding 6 years ago and then after our son was born we asked Judy/​Gavin to do our family photos.
1) The wedding pictures are awesome, we still have a few of them on our walls at home and as a whole they are fantastic. We requested that Gavin focus on a documentary and candid style for our day and he produced a true visual story. There is much more I could write about Gavin’s wedding work, particularly how knowledgeable and technical he is with camera gear, lighting, etc., but there is not enough room here. He is a true, professional photographer.
2) Judy and Gavin worked together on our family portrait. We chose the Mission at San Juan Capistrano (beautiful) and requested a mix of styles. Again — wow! Judy took photos while Gavin worked with lighting equipment and at the same time he kept our 3 year old son laughing and attentive. Judy’s photos are colorful and fun, she is great with lighting.

I can not say enough great things about the Judy and Gavin team. Even our guests commented on how well organized they are. We booked them at the beginning of our engagement and because it was such a long engagement, they ended up shooting two of our friends wedding before they got to shoot ours. In all instances our friends gave raving reviews for Judy and Gavin, we were already sure that they would be great but hearing and seeing them in action made us feel even better about our choice. We interviewed a few photographers before them, but once we met them, we knew they were it and didn’t bother to speak with anyone else. The biggest thing for us was seeing how well we clicked with our photographers and we knew right from the beginning they are very down to earth and their work speaks for themselves.
They make you feel very comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. They are very easy to get along with and fun to work with. Not only are they great to work with, they come equipped with all the proper gear to deal with any lighting situation as well as backup equipment.
One thing I noticed from about them is when looking back at the pictures, they capture all the moments of the wedding however you never notice a lens in your face. It is amazing how they are always at the right place and right time, but are never up in your face so you can enjoy the moment.

Whoa! Can’t believe I am the first one to write about Judy and Gavin Photography. They are the most awesome photographers around and Judy and Gavin were my photographer and videographer for our wedding that happened a couple months.
when we first met them for the initial consultation, we clicked right away. We clicked because both them and us love food. As people said, food what binds people most of the time. We also clicked because their photography style is exactly what we look for… We love the way the pictures came out vibrantly, colorful and clear.
Prior the wedding, we did an engagement picture with them as well to familiarized each other style and we had fun.
A couple weeks ago, Judy delivered the pictures of the wedding and all of them were amazing and we can’t asked for better results.
We are looking forward to see our video which Gavin shoot and we are sure it will be one cool and wonderful video.
