Love this place! I come here almost all the time and they do a beautiful job! The last salon I went to made my nails super thick and didn’t listen when I wanted them shorter. But here everyone takes their time and listens to exactly what you want. Thank God this place is close to home because I don’t want to go to another salon!

This was my first time here and was helped by Kelly! She made me feel welcomed and listened to what I wanted for my nails! They came out beautiful and I couldn’t be happier! I will definitely be returning!

I came in for a little pampering. She took her time in getting to know me and made sure I was relaxed. She super friendly and detailed. Love Chic Nails they are always so welcoming and friendly! Come ask for Katy she will give you the best pedicure. Kelly’s and her staff are the best! I give them 10 stars!

Very modern, clean salon and they do an amazing job! They have lots of gel colors to chose from with matching colors for pedicures. I will definitely be coming back here from now on!

my mom and I just tries this place for the 1^st time and we were shocked at how good the service and quality was. the best we’ve had ever especially in this area! $ 65 total for a jelly pedicure which is their premium pedi, they offer several, a mani and an eyebrow wax! There are places that aren’t near as clean or pleasant and quality severely lacks, yet they charge the same and more. This is our official new nail place. I recommend everyone supports this local spot, I would drive to it even if I didn’t live in the area! exceptional!

I recently went to a nail salon by my house in El Monte and got a full set. I was not satisfied with how they came out so Kelly from chic nail came into my job one day and had me come by chic nail and told me she’d fix them to exactly how I wanted them and as promised Kelly truong did just that! I’m super satisfied with the work she did! I can now say I have finally found my new nail lady and location I really recommend this place. they have patience and take the time to do what you want and not what they prefer or what gets the job done faster to get you out the door. thank you so much, see you in ²⁄₃ weeks for a fill. Lol

After moving to San Dimas, I needed to find a reliable and affordable gel mani & eyebrow waxing location. It’s hard to leave someone you trust and who has been working on you forever… but I had no choice since we moved and my old salon was too far away. I tried a few local spots, but then came across Chic Nails during a coffee run to Railside Café nearby (which btw is a must if you’re craving a delicious latte… but that’s a separate review!)
The owner/​manager, Kelly, is the only person that has worked on my brows, and she does an AMAZING job. Unlike other salons, where they are quick and rush you… Kelly takes her time and is meticulous at making my brows look PERFECT! Her technique is painless and she does a fantastic job with shaping & trimming the brows with tweezers after she waxes. The best part is the wax is only $ 5 if you get a gel manicure… you can’t beat that price.
There is only one person I trust with my brows, and that’s Kelly from Chic Nails… seriously give her a try! She is not only skilled but nice and funny too :)

I have been coming to chic nails for about a year now. Mainly for mani –pedi’s and facials. The facials are amazing. The service is great. The employee’s are very sweet.

Been here twice :) both times I got Jimmy he did acrylic nails with a matte finish and a little alien design. Kelly is by far my favorite she does an Amazing job everytime! Definitely will be coming here regularly from now on

I’ve been here twice now. The first time I came in was for a Gel mani-​pedi. I was very pleased with the service and the job that they did, nothing revolutionary, but the location was very nice, so was the staff, and they got the job done right. I planned on this being my new go-​to place. I noticed they do eyelash extensions for $ 80, so I came back next weekend for that. This is where they lost 4 stars. I wanted to come in at 4ish, so I wasn’t the last person there, but they were not available until 5:30, that was fine with me, I really didn’t think I’d be te last person there, but I was, no big deal until later, stay tuned. I have gotten extensions once before, not here, as a little background. He never asked me what I wanted, I had to tell him when I was already all «taped up» and unable to open my eyes. I told him I wanted them longer than my lashes, but I don’t want club lashes, and I wanted them to flare at the outer corners. So, when we are finished, I look at them, they are super long. They resembled Queen B KoKo lashes if you’re familiar. Didn’t flare at all, and they hit my glasses. That being said, they did look nice. Then I was told no water on them. The ones I previously got, you were able to wet them, they used a different glue I guess, wish I knew before, because I wouldn’t have done it if I did know. Then, I get told they are plastic thicker lashes, again, the other place I went to used mink hair. This is all fine if it was disclosed to you. But he intentionally didn’t tell me all this stuff. I say intentionally, because I asked a few questions about this right before and he said he’s tell me after. Also, he didn’t do a great job at gluing them. I had a few glued on to my actual lid, and some going sideways. And the worst part was the ones on the outer corner, I’m not sure how to explain it, but he glues them so that they were pocking my eye. It has been irritated for a few days now, and I did tell him about it when he finished, and he said it was fine. I fixed it when I got home, and by fix, I mean had to pull those couple of lashes off, which was painful. To top this off, when I left the room, all the lights were off. I assume they were closed at this point of course, but I think if you have clients in your shop you should at least leave the lights on until they leave, I know they want to go home, turning the music off, fine, but is turning the lights off after I walk out that difficult? I’m still contemplating calling them to tell them of my experience, and maybe they can do something about it to make it better. But I do want to come back and do my nails here, I don’t want to be THAT girl. But I might not because of this experience. So, I’m back and forth.
Edit: it’s been two weeks. These pages are the worse decision ever. They have irritated my eyes so much. People have even noticed. I’m certain after consulting with other professionals, that they were not glued on properly. And the gel nails I got done on my hands. Peeled off in a week. That has never happened to me. Definitely not coming back. Such a shame because it’s such a cute place.

Okay so I had a not so good experience last time I went. I’ve been coming here for about a year and a half. My grandma comes here regularly AND I’ve referred so many people! I left an updated review about my time last week and hesitated coming back.
I decided to give this place another chance. I called and made an appointment for 5:15. They close at 6. I always end up being the last person.): but that’s the only time I have after work.
It was busy when I came, I sat down and waited for the first free person. After a few moments Kelly ushered me to a table and began to take off my gel nail polish. Kelly is the owner, she has short reddish hair and does the eyebrow waxing. She is always in a good mood and very sweet. After she gets my gel off another woman approaches. Her name is Vivian. She sits down and wants to see what I want. She is very quick to find the perfect colors and she assures me she will do whatever to make my experience great.
So she gets right into it and she tells me the owner saw my review (I’m thinking aw great they know it’s me haha) and was upset I had such a bad time. She knows I come all the time. She didn’t like that I left unhappy and wished she could have done something to help the situation. I told her I didn’t want to leave a bad review but you know… the service was not good. I told her I was scared to come back because I didn’t want to be blacklisted lol and feel like they all knew it was me and didn’t like me. She assured me that was not the case and they just want to make sure every customer leaves happy.
It was nice to hear they didn’t blame me or try and make excuses. It’s good to know they take pride in their work. They want their customers to return. She assured me she would do whatever it took to make my visit this time the best. She wanted to keep my business. She took her time with my nails, she was very gentle even though she was going to be kept after hours. She was great. She was very easy to talk to and made me laugh. She didn’t make me feel like she was faking it or pretending. I could tell she cared about it. She told me any problems or issues I had she would take care of… as did the owner. Vivian did a phenomenal job on my nails! The owner even gave me some oil I was interested in buying for free. (: it was a very nice gesture. I have another appointment for a pedicure with my grandma on Wednesday. Diane is also one of my favorites! She calls my grandma «grandma» (: and is always so gentle with her. She always takes her time and is very fun to talk to. She remembers things about you and makes a genuine effort to know you. She always does a great job on my nails as well.
Every business has bad days, it’s all about how they handle it. Clearly this place cares about their customers and the service they receive. How they handled the situation was very classy. That’s how you keep a customer. I am very satisfied and will continue to come back.

So not happy with the outcome this was my first time here I’ve got a brown spot on my nails I got severely cut I got acrylic all around my nails going back in to ask for a refund and I just left

I Love this place! They did an amazing job on my nails today. I am new to the area and I happen to stop by a few months back and was really impressed. 3 months later and I’m still a customer and very happy customer

I would recommend this place to people. Nice & clean. Service is always great. I just had my nails done today with Lina… great job.

**This is strictly for the eyelash extensions service!**
It’s actually been a while, I just decided to do this now.
I came for my first try at eyelash extensions. Figured they charge practically half what eyelash extension salons charge (they charge about $ 60, eyelash extensions salons go upwards of $ 100 for your first set) so why not try it. And I randomly felt like doing it and the eyelash salons in my area are booked for the day. The whole procedure was about an hour long, fell asleep for a bit, which was the best part. I pretty much got fake lashes attached with glue to my eyelids. Honestly, I thought it would feel a bit more comfy since they were individuals. Mind you this was my first time, and the only other time I’ve ever gotten fake lashes on was for my wedding. They were the long, obviously fake kind, like what make up artists would glue on you for special occasions — but one lash at a time. It did last for a while, over 2 weeks til I felt I wanted to try again. The second time around though, I went to an actual salon that only did eyelash extensions. I stumbled upon a Groupon for the exact place I was Unilocaling and got 50% off (yey!). There’s a big difference on how it looked and felt. I’ve been going to that salon ever since.
Sorry Chic Nails — I’m only sticking to mani-​pedis for now.

Leela did my acrylics with gel perfectly and Emily did a amazing pedicure. Nails were $ 45 and pedicure was $ 30 and I added a $ 5 charge on top of the pedicure. I’ll definitely be back. They did my nails for my baby shower today and I couldn’t be happier

The décor is beautiful but the prices are absurd. $ 85 for a gel manicure/​pedicure combo?! Ridiculous.
The girl doing my nails cut them down so far that I have almost no tip — they’re little baby nails now. I asked for a glitter «fade» on the tips and it looks pretty bad. I kept thinking, «she’s gonna bring out the brush and use the loose glitter once she finishes with the gel», but NOPE. I didn’t have the heart to make her start over again, or even remove it all, so I’m just going to have someone else fix it.
Plus, the girl pushed my cuticles back so hard that she made me bleed… I couldn’t believe it when I saw it in the car afterwards. I was so disappointed with this place because I saw glowing reviews and adorable pictures from other customers, I was hoping for the same experience.

This is a very nice salon, décor is definitely upscale. They offer additional amenities with all of their services, however prices are higher than most places but the actual outcome of your nails is average to below average.
We made an appointment at Chic nails and did not wait long once when we arrived. they offer you water or soda and have cookies and candy for you while you wait. They use Essie, O.P.I., and Pro-​Tec gel polish.
I got a Jelly Pedicure which felt awesome and smelled very luxurious. They add a jelly mixture to the water and it becomes this thick but fluffy jelly substance. The nail tech let’s you soak, then rubs your legs down, they use different creams then rinse off, use a sea salt scrub then rinse, then hot rocks, and rinse — you get the picture. Then the paint and polish.
However the nail tech, Tammy, who did my pedicure was not very friendly nor super thorough. She did not apply much pressure and seemed to be sort of going through the motions, while the tech who did my friend next to me, May, was very sweet and went the extra step (we got the same service). The paint job was far from perfect, not a very clean job. For the price I expected my nails to be the picture of perfection! You are paying for the extra amenities they apply (scrubs, lotions, etc.). I won’t be coming back here.
