Dante Nash is one of the best trainers in San Diego, for the following reasons:
1. He has a long-​term passion for being healthy, through diet and exercise. He is not a «Fly By Night» wonder trainer, eager to capitalize on the latest training and eating trends. He has been dedicated to fitness training since 1999.
2. He holds you accountable for your success. If you are willing to eat right and go through his training, you cannot fail.
3. He empowers you. In life, you can give a child a fish, so they can eat for the day. Or, you can teach a child to fish, so he/​she can eat for a lifetime. Dante teaches you to «fish».
I have NEVER subscribed to using a trainer. I prided myself on having what it takes to get back in shape, whenever I fell out of shape. Then, I saw Dante training someone in our gym (Casa Mira View Apartments). After about 15 minutes, I walked out of the gym and went back upstairs to my apartment. I was both impressed, beyond belief, with his training process and discouraged, because I knew I would not ever, and could not ever, push myself, like he would push me and attain the results I really wanted. So, I sat with that thought for a couple of days and made the decision to meet with him. And, I am very glad I did.
I am very serious about business matters. So, I appreciate how professional and timely Dante is. He is retired from the military, and it shows. If you are meeting with him at 8:00A, be there at 7:45A warming yourself up, because the time you spend with Dante is concentrated one-​on-​one training for your success. No matter where you are health wise, he meets you at your level. As well, prior to your first session with him, you will fill out a health screening questionnaire. And, there is much more to his training tools — those are just some of the highlights. No one day with Dante is the same. He subscribes to circuit training and confusing your body, to reach maximum results.
If you give Dante no less than 90 dedicated days (with three 1-​hour training days per week), you will see results. I am in my 30^th day. Even with 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years) people have noticed a difference in me. I feel the difference in me!

I’ve been thinking about getting a personal trainer for a few years but the cost has always held me back. Dante and another trainer, Lisa Snow, came to my work and offered the first training session free. I went in the next week and signed up for 24 sessions. I really liked their personalities and knew I could have fun while working out. I have finished my personal training sessions which were hard but definitely worth it. I feel and look a million times better. Now that I’m in better shape, I was able to join Dante’s classes with 4 other people. These are affordable and I’ll be here for the foreseeable future. I’ve recently lost weight and wanted to try out a personal trainer. I had two personal training sessions with Dante and he was awesome. He was extremely personable and really wanted to hear the kind of workouts I have been doing in order to give me some pointers. The first session he showed me some exercises I could do outside or anywhere really, that can help improve my running. The second session we focused on weight training, which was something I was looking forward to the most, since I am not very experienced in the gym. He gave me some great tips and advice and pushed me that day. He had just the right amount of assertiveness that I needed to get me through the last few reps. I would definitely like to go back soon. He’s really friendly and even trained one of my coworkers and whipped him in to shape!
Also, very clean place, which is always important.

I have been working out with Dante for about 7 weeks now. I heard about him through groupon and so I called to make an appt. I hadn’t thought about personal training before and I was really discouraged because I knew I was weak. Despite the many attempts to get back on shape, I never saw the results I wanted. Just sitting with him and chatting, I felt that I could really do it this time. We set a goal of 30 lbs. I would have never thought the goal possible, but his enthusiasm and his promise of dedication made me believe that I could actually do it!
And so the journey began…
Dante put me on a food program specific to my needs and better yet — tailored it to suit my many allergies and food intolerances. In the first month I lost 10 lbs and a total of approx 6 inches all over. Who knew you could lose half an inch in your neck!!! I was ecstatic and encouraged to keep going. I am in my second month now and have had a few setbacks, but with Dante in my corner, I never feel tempted to cheat. I believe in him and i know that he is invested to bring out the best in me.
Dante is a special type of trainer, he is not only a trainer but a true friend. I had injuries in both of my tibias, yet we managed to develop a routine to work for me. Everytime I went to see him, he had already planned the workout– absolutely no time was wasted. But his work is not done once the hour is over — not at all. On weekends when i am out of town, he texts me with tips and ways to stay on top of things. And when I have that weak moment, there is always that random and uplifting text from my awesome trainer!
Best part of all this is the strength I have accumulated! Granted my clothes fit better and I am much more confident, but being able to push myself past my limit is exciting and invigorating and most of all — empowering! I sometimes feel like I want to cry and I really can’t do it, but I push through and in the end I am so damn proud! If it weren’t for Dante, I would have never realized how strong I am. I may have been slimmer in my 20’s, but I damn well am stronger in my 30’s!
Making the investment to hire a trainer is one of the smartest decisions I have EVER made. I am not even halfway through my 90 days, but judging by the results, I can’t wait to see the transformation!

I am a fairly active person, and before I came to Your Body By Dante, I was a regular at the gym and took workout classes 3 – 5 times a week. However, at this stage in my life (settling into an office job, celebrating friends’ weddings and baby showers), I quickly realized when I stepped on the scale early 2014 that even with the exercise that I was doing, my weight had spiked to the heaviest that I have ever been.
After having an initial consultation with Dante, he quickly helped me start working off the weight. Even though the work is tough (super tough!), I could see measurable results from week to week. My routines were constantly changing and it was refreshing to have someone do the thinking for me. Dante approaches his clients with calm, persisting motivation that allows people to push themselves to their limit without feeling belittled or uncomfortable in any way. He develops a relationship with all his clients and he would even text me during weekends with positive messages to keep me motivated.
What really impresses me about Dante is his breadth of knowledge for not only fitness, but nutrition. He would calculate exactly what I needed to change about my diet to push through the weight plateaus and the frustration. He made me rethink the food that I put into my body without feeling like I was severely limited to «diet food.»
I’m thrilled that with Dante’s training, I’ve progressed back to my normal weight, but now I feel even stronger and more fit than before my weight gain. I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel for reaching my goal. Hopefully by the end of summer, I can actually weigh what my driver’s license says. Thank you Dante for all your help!

In July 2013 I attended a Bridal Bazaar and won two free sessions with Your Body By Dante. At first I felt really nervous because I had never set foot in a gym or worked with a trainer before. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do it or that I would be embarrassed. In fact, I recruited my fiancé to come with me and do couples sessions so I wouldn’t be alone!
However, from day one, Dante and his staff were extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a really nice facility and everyone who works there is great. It has the feel of a small business so you get a personalized experience, but they have the resources and equipment to give you the workout you’re looking for. Every time we went in we were greeted by name, with a smile!
They matched my fiancé and I with Renard, and we had 1-​hour personal training sessions with him twice a week for about 3 months. Renard is the best! He is very creative with the exercises we did; no session was ever the same. He is funny and personable, but also pushed us hard — harder than I could we could work out. It made me feel really proud of myself when I was able to meet or exceed the high bar he set. Since we were both beginners he started us off slowly, and I started to see results really quickly. I would highly recommend Body by Dante, and especially Renard.
The only reason we stopped training there was because we had to move to the Bay Area. Otherwise we would have definitely continued!

I used to be a very athletic person and was always in great shape… but once I moved to San Diego 9 years ago, I feel in love with the California burritos and my body just went downhill after that. So, now trying to get back into a new healthy lifestyle (50lbs later), I notice how hard it can be. Being 31 and not 21 anymore, my metabolism has completely sucked and my old workout routines weren’t not working anymore… I wasn’t going anywhere and my body stayed the same…
So, now here is where Dante came in. I’ve only been working out with Dante for 2 ½ weeks and honestly, his boot camp is the best boot camp that I’ve ever tried. I noticed, and not just me but also my boyfriend has noticed the increase of my energy and especially after Dante has placed me on a meal plan; I’ve been noticing a positive difference with my body. I like how every day of boot camp is different from the past days and different from the week before. And yes, his boot camp is intense but the pain is well worth it!
I know that I’ll meet my goal before this year ends with his boot camp; and of course EATING RIGHT! I highly recommend Dante! He’s not only a great trainer but also a great motivator!

Your Body by Dante is awesome! I got a stellar deal and decided to give it a try. After 4 kids, my last a set of twins, I am trying to get back in shape! I feel really challenged at the boot camps and am seeing results that are making me happy! I also make my 13 year old son do some boot camps with me!!! We love it!!! This place is great and they have many different bootcamps available all throughout the week! I work at a high school so I like going to the 6 am bootcamp so I can take care of my workout before work!!! Thank you Dante for keeping me motivated to shed this unwanted after baby weight!!!

Dante is great! I was looking to tone and gain muscle as well as endurance. He worked with my self and my husband before our wedding and then I worked out with him while my husband went on deployment. Dante even helped me move when my husband was deployed. He is a great guy, very knowledgeable and tough! Loved every minute!

75 lbs less and over 36 inches… it has been a journey. I had to trust in Dante to help me make a difference and I knew had to start somewhere. Since then, my body shape has changed and every day there is some physical task that is less difficult. The workouts are varied, challenging and always on the cutting edge of my ability. The food dialogues are invaluable and the journaling is key.

I first came to Dante’s Inferno (morning boot camp class) with a goal to lose weight after being sick for over a year and having undergone two surgeries. With the rigorous classes, accompanied by his comprehensive meal plan (s) and journal tracking I was able to quickly reach my goal and was down over 20-​lbs (and dropped 2-​dress sizes) within the first 2-​months.
A year later, I have maintained my weight, defined my muscle-​tone and am still participating in the classes. In fact, his instruction and motivation has pushed me to be more active and involved in outside sports, like flag-​football, tennis, volleyball, and running. And truth be told, I am in better shape and stronger than I have ever been. Thank you Dante, you have changed my life!

Training with Your Body By Dante has been the best training experience ever!
I tried to lose weight before with little or no success. This time I have totally transformed my body!
I started at 150 lbs. I am a 40 year old mother of three and have a very busy career running my business in Mexico.
After 90 days of training at Your Body By Dante I weighed in a 122lbs and my body is better now than before I had my first child! They taught me how to eat on the go and the workouts are very effective. I sweat my butt off!

My experience with boot camp training prior to connecting with Dante was, as a whole, unremarkable. I was often kept waiting while my «trainer» prepared, and had to listen to his early morning moans and groans. As a result, I would quickly lose
my motivation and the desire to challenge my mind and my body. This has never been the case with Dante.
I first observed Dante’s techniques while working with another trainer at their facility. I noted how engaged his clients were and how he appeared to really enjoy the process of helping them meet and surpass their goals. This attracted me and I began my work with Dante in early December 2011.
In sharp contrast to other trainers, Dante is always prepared, enthusiastic, optimistic, and encouraging. He has a solid handle not only on the physical aspects
such as core strength building but also on the critical importance of nutrition in overall health and weight management. With Dante’s guidance I developed the skill set to train while in Maui and actually lose weight on vacation…“who does that?”. In fact, I find myself waking early, refreshed, and excited to workout on a daily basis.

I have done many «off the wall» things in my life including broadcasting live from a hot air balloon drifting over the US Open golf tournament to racing airplanes in a jet propelled car at air shows.
I’ve always had a passion for food, worked as a private chef and have yet to meet a dish I didn’t like. It was my latest quest for the perfect paella that brought me to Dante. The extra pounds aren’t as easy to shed as they once were. So thinking it was just one more «off the wall» stunt, I signed up for the boot camp. They call it Inferno for a reason! The workout is fast, concentrated and gets results! I remember one day realizing that I had just run a mile in under 10 minutes.
Dante is constantly working with you to adjust your food intake to optimize the workouts. In 90 days I’ve lost 22 pounds, I can’t wait to see what the next 90 days will bring!

I met Dante at the San Diego Bridal Bizarre about a month ago and decided to give his inferno boot camp a try. I am so glad I did. I have four months before my wedding day to get in bridal shape and after starting up with Dante’s program there is no doubt in my mind that Dante will get me to my goal in no time.
Since I began with him three weeks ago I have lost 10 pounds. That 10 pound loss didn’t come easy though-Dante’s boot camp is intense. You work hard and sweat hard and it definitely pays off on the scale.
I have had about 6 trainers before in my lifetime and what separates Dante from them is his knowledge, his passion, and the results you get from him. Dante makes sure that you are eating well throughout the day and he doesn’t just stop working for you once your training session is done. He monitors your eating, tells you what you can do differently, and most importantly he makes you feel like he is with you every step and every pound of the way. Your accomplishment is his accomplishment. I have never known a trainer to care so much.
Hiring Dante is a great investment in yourself. You will hate every minute of your session, trust me I do, but you will LOVE the results you get and you will keep coming back for more. If you don’t believe me you should definitely come check his gym out. The walls of the gym are full of photos of his client’s before and after photos-​amazing results on actual people. And you know they are actual people because you will see them in the gym. You should definitely give Dante’s training a try… I am so glad I did! :)

After having my son I needed motivation and help to lose the extra baby weight. I started going to Your Body by Dante in Feb, and have currently gone from wearing size 7 jeans to a size 4!
There is no «magic pill» or «quick fix,» it is hard work that you put in every work out along with a diet plan. Dante is very motivating and supportive, knowing how to push you to do more than you thought you were capable of and to get results that you thought were impossible. I highely recommend coming here if you want to get results!

I have been going to Your body by Dante/​Real Deal Fitness! The results i’ve been getting are amazing. Everytime I leave a season with him, I want to kill him for the workout. But I feel so good after, I end up appreciating it and coming back for more.
At 1^st I was skeptical about going here. Scared at what he might make me do, stuff like that but it’s not like that at all. They push you to do your best. In return you get results for what you work for.
I plan to finish the program I am with him now, and look forward to the future for when I need him again. (I.E. after having babies) =D
