Yogurt On The Rocks

Decided to stop by to give myself a treat for running 3 miles in this 90 degree weather! Its your typical fro-​yo spot with self serve yogurt and toppings so nothing earth shatteringly amazing here. But it was cool inside and clean plus there’s a parking lot in front, with plenty of seats so it was perfect for today. Oh, one big bonus is that their gummy bears are tiny. This is good because the big ones are hard to chew when they’re frozen by the yogurt. SCORE!

Love it here, we can walk here from out house. They have the best flavors and selection of anywhere else I’ve gone to get froyo. Also have atleast one flavor of sorbet too. Ridiculous amounts of toppings, which are all fresh. They occasionally change slightly, but they stay pretty consistent. They have a rewards program where you get free stuff when you check in too. Staff are always nice and friendly. There’s one guy who is our favorite because he always has colorful pants on and remembers us. Very personable. Dog friend with a nice patio area.

What can I say… Yogurt on the Rocks ROCKS! This has been my go to froyo spot since I moved to PB 6 years ago. When I first moved here I lived closer to another yogurt shop but it’s a chain so they don’t have nearly as much variety. It’s also in a cramped spot that makes it difficult to get through. Lucky for me I moved a few blocks away last year and spend even more time here.
They always have a great variety of flavors — some are permanent fixtures while others rotate on a regular basis. My favorite rotation is thin mint during Girl Scout cookie season. The toppings are also amazing and they have a freezer with other treats including doggy yogurt that my dog adores.
On top of the tasty treats the staff is always friendly and the shop is clean. There’s also great indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking.

By far my favorite froyo spot in San Diego. Their flavors are so good, they taste like the real deal! They are always rotating in new flavors. My faves are chocolate custard, peanut butter and thin mint (when they have it). Great topping selection, friendly staff, lots of seating both inside and out, and they even have jewelry available for purchase! A fun added bonus, I’ve never purchased any but have friends who love their jewelry!
Definitely stop by when you are in PB!

I have been coming to Yogurt on the Rocks for several years. My kids love it and so do I. I like their flavors, especially the Honey Greek, which thankfully they always have. Parking is easy. However, there is a reason why I have not given them 5 stars. Every time I go there, I see customers re-​using the sample cups for different flavors. In all the other yogurt places I have been, there is a sign saying «one sample cup per flavor», because it is unsanitary to use the same sample cup more than once. They do not put out many sample cups, so maybe that is why customers use the same cup many times. I have told the staff about it and that they should have a sign up, and they said that they would pass my message onto the Owner.
Owner of Yogurt on the Rocks — please run a safe and sanitary frozen yogurt business by letting your customers know that a new sample cup is required for each sample tasting.

This place «Rocks!» The location on Garnet walking distance from our apartment had us here more often than the average person.
Prices are fair — it’s when I load up on cookie dough pieces that I end up paying over $ 5 for my bowl. Darn. BUT — You can ALWAYS find a coupon online, in the Beach & Bay Press, on the back of your Vons receipt, or by checking in. There’s even a rewards card, or app, although it seems like it keeps changing and they need to make up their mind. Buy one, get one free is perfect for when you bring your date. Really, make sure you find a coupon before coming here or you’re missing out on a good deal.
Pro: Yogurt and toppings are completely self-​serve, complete with little sample cups.
Pro: Staff is always friendly. Con: I just wish they’d put water out somewhere for us to grab.
Pro: Ample parking, seating outdoors and they’re open late.
Con: They could use more flavors, or at least cycle what they offer more often. Pro: What they lack in yogurt options, they make up for in topping options.
Overall, good fro-​yo stop = positive review! Yay, I’m a fan.

Unlike any other FroYo joints I’ve been to, this one doesn’t seem to have any water for its patrons. I didn’t even see any for purchase??? Also, the selections here are much fewer than any other FroYo joints than I’ve been to. I guess this is just typical PB where no one cares about anything…

I was introduced to Yogurt on the Rocks by my best friend. She told me that as soon as I try the yogurt here I would never go back to wanting Yogurtland and she was right! Their yogurt defines soft served.
The décor is simple and bright. My favorite part is the outdoor seating. It’s comforting almost like you’re sitting in your own home in the backyard. They also have a little seating/​play area for children.
I’m a plain Jane. Plain tart is my go to flavor, but in addition to that I’ve come to love their Honey Greek flavor. I usually add crushed almonds, mochi, cheesecake bites, and the flavored boba balls.
They have great flavor choices and a wide arrangement of toppings to choose from. Each and every visit is satisfying and sometimes I even want more after finishing what I already devoured!

My only complaint is that it is too close to my house, and on the way home from the gym! So delicious, great flavors, and tons of delicious toppings!

I was quite surprised when my gf and I walked in after a day of shopping. This Froyo place is definitely one of the biggest froyo spots I’ve ever been to! I’m not sure if PB has any other froyo places but this one is by far is my favorite. The gals that run the place are super cool and energetic. I like the vibe when you walk in… from the music they play to the décor, this froyo place is also really clean. When I visit other Froyo places their toppings station is always messy with random crumbs everywhere and sometimes all mixed up, but this place is never like that. I think they have a specific worker that constantly goes around and keeps the yogurt area clean and keeps things stocked (good idea).
Anyway they also always have a favorite flavor of mine available: cake batter, coffee, toffee all the savory flavors. Aside from that they also offer the handful of fruity flavors. I like how the froyo here is thick and not watery, it’s also not too sweet.
After a day of shopping on Garnett or a day at the beach, remember to stop by Yougurt on The Rocks for a sweet treat!

I had a lunch party with a big family at the buffet in the same lot and decided to skip the dessert at the buffet and come here!
I got the graham cracker and vanilla and loved it. Added mochi, cookie dough and cheesecake to my order and it was only 4 dollars!
Clean store, nice employee and the flavor was great. I’m not in SD often, but I’m very happy I tried this place with the different flavors!

I come here way too often to admit. Ok I just admitted it. Haha. But really, this is my favorite frozen yogurt place. ever.
I live in walking distance so I stop by pretty regularly to satisfy my sweet tooth. They keep mostly the same favorite flavors, yet switch up a few of them from time to time. Never disappointing. My only complaint is that they stopped crushing up the Heath bar toppings. I’m not trying to put a whole fun sized candy on my fro yo… But other than that, I absolutely love this place.

I had an extra ten minutes before picking up the kids from school, so I felt a treat was in line. I had a small cup of chocolate custard. I love to drown my fro-​yo in peanut butter sauce, but unfortunately I was pumping away only to get a small few squirts. I added some additional topping to make up for the lack of peanut butter sauce and it was delicious. I find it amazing how they keep all the toppings clean and tidy. Most of the tables inside are high, so I font always like bringing the kids in fear they might fall off the high chairs. They have a patio outside with comfortable chairs, but can get chilly on a winter day while eating frozen yogurt.

This is my favorite place to get frozen yogurt in PB. I am usually a creature of habit when it comes to frozen yogurt and order the same thing, no matter where I go. Although, that is not the case with this place!
I had heard such great reviews about all of their flavors, I have branched out and tried more than just their «Plain Tart» and have LOVED everything I have tried. Some of my new favorites include «Cupcake», «Cookies n Cream» and a «Chocolate Gelato» flavor.
Not only do they have a wide selection of yogurt flavors, but they have one of the biggest topping selections I have ever seen! They have a bunch of toppings displayed as well as a list of additional toppings, like cereal, that can stored in containers in the back. I was almost overwhelmed with the amount of toppings I had to choose from.
Not only is everything I get there great, the price is right and there is a lot of comfortable seating, both inside and outside. I will continue to be a regular at Yogurt on the Rocks for as long as I am in San Diego!

I come here once a week. seriously.
Great rotating flavors, huge selection of toppings (they have a list of more in the back then what’s just on display), really nice service. Also love the little jewelry pop up stand near the register, they’ve definitely caught me in a few vulnerable moments.
Plus they have endless parking, and cozy outdoor seating.

My wife and I have eaten a lot of frozen yogurt since moving to SoCal. Of all the places in San Diego County, we have decided that this is one of our favorites. The flavors of their yogurt are diverse, with a nice sampling of tart, low fat, regular and low sugar offerings. My favorites are the honey Greek yogurt and their pb. The part that sets YOTR apart from the rest is probably the intensity of the flavor and the texture. Oh, and the price is on-​point. I also enjoy their selection of (unhealthy) toppings: cookie dough and funfetti cake pieces.
As a wise man once said, «I don’t always eat frozen yogurt, but when I do, I prefer Yogurt On The Rocks».

Dropped by here after dinner around 9pm on a Friday night and the place was pretty busy. Yogurt is $ 0.42/oz and self serve. There are a couple different size cups to choose from and sample cups can be found up front.
Now I love me some Froyo and I thought I’d tried all the good stuff, but this here was AMAZING! It really tastes more like fancy soft serve ice cream; better even! The salted caramel was TO DIE FOR, I almost forgot what to do with myself after trying a sample. In my wonderment, I immediately thought to fill giant size cup to the top with that delectable and take it home for breakfast but it wouldn’t have been the same after being in the freezer. I recollected myself and picked up a small cup, poured in a normal amount of salted caramel and topped it off with a few cheesecake bites, all for under 3.50.
I’d visit PB again just for this Froyo!

Oh no! I love this place! It’s my latest obsession. It’s right by my house too!
They don’t have a huuuge selection of flavors, but that’s totally fine cause the flavors they do have are awesome. My go-​to choices are the red velvet and the CUPCAKE! The cupcake flavor is AMAZING! Tastes like you’re licking the bowl and the spoon of some bomb cake batter straight out of your childhood. I like to top that off with the rainbow cake toppings (and some tiny chocolate chips, who am I kidding?) and I feel like I just left a birthday party with way less chubby girl guilt. I keep wanting to try some fruity, tarty concoction but when that cupcake flavor is up, it’s all I can see… I’m telling you, it’s legit!
They have a punch card and have coupons on the back of receipts from the VONS nearby, and the patio is dog friendly!

I came in on Halloween night at to y surprise it was very quiet. After chatting it up with the lovely young lady wearing her cow girls outfit, I served me up some graham cracker and Dreyer’s peanut butter frozen yogurt topped with sliced almonds, and at .43 per ounce, it was a fair price (

Both yogurts were great, and I am already very fond of peanut butter anything, but the graham cracker frozen yogurt was a first for me. I shocked on how spot on the flavor was to the real thing. Graham crackers indeed. Also, both yogurts were very smooth and cold, cold, cold (
). I like my toppings simple, and I usually go for some kinds nut, and the almonds I used were perfect for the added texture and flavor.
The two young ladies working the evening were nice and provided nice conversation. I felt sorry for them to have have to work Halloween night, but what do you do. Good frozen yogurt.
