Wylde Sydes Tattoo & Body Piercing

From the beginning to the end, my whole experience here was the best. James answered my email request right away and was so nice about my questions and description of my tattoo. There was a little bit of a wait when I got there, but they always let me know what was going on and offered me some water. Jesus was my tattoo artist and he was so nice and professional. My tattoo came out perfect and the lines were so crisp. So clean. Definitely coming back for my next one. I recommend this shop to anyone in the San Diego area.

I got my nose done here and everyone was so nice! The staff in the front was very nice and funny and Debbie was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and made the process so easy I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

So I came here yesterday and let me tell you, it was such an amazing place! The guy in the front was so funny and sweet. Made me feel really comfortable. Debbie is the one who pierced my nose she was so sweet and talked me the whole way threw it. Everything was super clean! Definitely will come back to this place !!

I seriously got my worst tattoo done at this place. I had seen the dudes work before and that’s what made me decide going here but I totally regretted it the moment I walked out. The outcome was totally different to what he had showed me before we began.
It was placed on my nape and he had me sitting all crooked on one of the big ass seats they have there and I guess that’s why my tattoo looks crooked.
Not saying it’s a bad place or Jesus is a bad tattoo artist but I do recommend you taking exactly what you want on you or he’ll just do it his way I guess.

Seriously one of the best tattoo experiences I’ve ever had. Not that I’ve had any bad ones but the guys at Wylde Sydes were hella cool and chill. My girl and I wanted to get matching tatts for Valentine’s Day and also get another little evil looking Mickey & Minnie tattoo cause we’re Disney dorks. We went to 4 other shops that we had been to in the past and nobody was doing walk-​ins, only appointments. We went on Unilocal and found Wylde Sydes in the SouthBay city of Imperial Beach. We showed up around 3pm and was greeted by James who works the front. We told him what we wanted and at first he was unsure if he’d be able to get us in as well. He went back and talked to Jesus who was our artist and said Jesus could do our tattoos in a couple of hours. About 2 hours later, James called and said come on down. First off, the shop is really clean and probably the most tech savvy shop I’ve seen. Computer and tv screens everywhere. They had some good hip-​hop/​rap music playing which I liked. The shop had a good vibe going and I felt very comfortable and welcomed. I had a good feeling about this place from the moment we walked in. James uploaded our designs and sized em out for the stencil. He gave us the option to go bigger, smaller, and was able to rotate the design to face a different way. Our artist Jesus Sanchez was great! Our tattoos came out perfect and exactly how we wanted em. Jesus’s lines & shading are super straight and clean. He was pretty fast too, he had both of us in and out in about 3.5 hours from start to finish. Jesus was friendly, personable, and very patient. Especially with me and all my questions. Some artists get mad or upset when you question their work or how they’re going to do your tattoo but not Jesus. I can’t wait for them to fully heal. In my opinion, Jesus has a very light hand and I didn’t feel any digging from him at all. The tattoos are so clean that I don’t foresee them scabbing up as they heal which is the way a tattoo should come out. The shop usually closes at 6pm on Sunday but Jesus is a straight beast who stayed late to do our tattoos and was ready to do more. He worked on us till 9:30pm and had a great attitude the whole time. Oh yeah, the price was straight too. I honestly thought it was gonna cost more for the size and quality of work we got. There was another artist named Anthony who was there and although he didn’t tattoo us, I could tell he was a good dude too from talking with him. In all, my girl and I are very happy with our new tattoos and would definitely recommend Jesus and Wylde Sydes tattoos.

I got my nipples pierced this afternoon and it was an amazingly comfortable experience!
I came into the shop super anxious and nervous, but the guy calmed my nerves really quick. He was very friendly, making jokes, and was very informative!
Debbie, who did my piercing, is such a sweetheart! Especially knowing she was a retired nurse made me feel like I was in good hands. She talked me through everything and just made me feel so comfortable!
The piercings itself wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. They do apply a numbing cream, which helps a lot!
I loved my experience here &I absolutely LOVE my new piercings! (If only I could post a picture, haha!)

What a great place… The staff here is so friendly and helpful. I took my daughter to get a nose piercing and everything her is so clean and by the book. They were sure to explain after care and cleaning BEFORE the piercing. Gave her options and all information incase she had any problems with her nose ring. I would highly recommend this place. I didn’t want to leave they were so nice. Full five stars.

I just got my industrial piercing here yesterday. Debbie is a great piercer. The best I’ve had so far. She was patient and attentive. I called ahead to ask for availability and the guy on the phone was very polite and nice. Overall my experience here was great. They give you some topical numbing cream before hand to ease the pain even. If I decide on anymore piercings, I’m definitely coming back here.

I got my nipples pierced and it was the easiest piercing experience and the less painful! I was greeted by this man whose very friendly, I felt very welcomed. The shop smelled so clean and was very sanitary. Debbie did my piercings. She’s a very nice and cool lady and made me feel very comfortable! Plus she’s a retired LVN nurse so that made me feel better. She talked me through the piercings and kept a conversation with me till the end. It was very fast and almost near painless. They use numbing cream that helps alot. I love this place definetly coming back again for more!

Went to get my nipples pierced about 2 weeks ago.
The guy at the front desk was great. He was joking around with us, making us laugh, gave me some candy.
My piercer was Jessica.
She was amazing. She made me feel completely comfortable, had me laughing the entire time and when it came down to business she was very quick and very professional. Yes it hurt, like any other piercing, but she was so fast about it I didn’t even have time to say «ow».
My piercings look amazing. I love them!
They’re healing up great.
From the time we walked in and the entire experience, this shop had a great attitude, great people, and professionals.

I am sooooooo happy I went to this place! I went for a nose piercing & to get my septum ring removed since it was impossible for me to take out. Debbie’s the sweetest lady I’ve ever met & I’ll definitely be back!

Debbie and her daughter are sweethearts. I came in because my monroe piercing embedded on the inside of my lip. And Debbie really took care of me. It hurt but she used a lot of numbing spray. She even gave me a bottle of cold water to sip on. If I come back to get my nose pierced I’ll definitely come here.

My best friend and I got our noses pierced about 3 days ago for the first time at Fam Mart. (DO NOT GO THERE) Today we went to Wylde Sydes and I really don’t know what we would have done with out Debbie. She got rid of our infections and re-​pierced our noses properly and correctly. She explained the entire process as we went through it and she is all about hygiene and you see that as she pierces your nose because she uses her LVN expertise. She has won our business. Thank you so much.

As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by the guys in the front. We got straight to the point and had my appointment within 30 – 40 minutes. There was someone ahead of me, but it was fine seeing I just walked in.
Debbie was delightful. She really knew what she was doing, made me feel comfortable and the piercing was a walk in the park. Clean, sterile, everything you’d expect from a piercing shop.

Note: I did NOT get a piercing or tattoo from this business. I simply went in to inquire about getting my nose ring removed. And I might add the guy at the front desk was nice.
I had called the night before to ask if they could remove it and was told to come in tomorrow. I walked in to a man on the computer and asked if they could remove my stud to which he replied his piercer was out sick and no one would be available until 4:30. That’s fine obviously people get sick but come on. I then asked if they charged and he said 5 to 10 dollars. There’s no way I’m returning for all that headache. I road down to Flesh Skin Grafix Tattoo and they happily removed it for me for free. Sorry but FSG will be getting my business from now on.

Went in yesterday & got my navel pierced by Debbie. For my first body piercing I was pretty nervous, so Debbie thoroughly explained everything & played some music to ease my nerves. As she was cleaning & preparing my navel, she applied this numbing cream & claimed that I wouldn’t feel a thing. Boy she was wrong, I felt everything lol. I’m pretty sure it was her way of getting me to relax, so I’m not all that bothered by it. It is a piercing so of course there’s going to be some pain.
By the time the piercing was done & the jewelry was in, I really liked how Debbie advised me on the aftercare & which oils & soaps to use.
Customer service was great & friendly. I was very picky on which belly ring to get, and the guy was attentive and managed to find the perfect white acrylic ring.

So I came in here last week for a certain «paired» piercing. Left a good review and very happy when i left the shop and thought about how nice the piercer, Debbie, was. Unfortunately, my thoughts have changed, and for good reason.
#1 ~ pierced me to a smaller gauge than what is standard for the piercing (16g compared to standard 14g), which i was unaware of. In hindsight, im sure it was done out of consideration for my comfort, BUT, that means either having to STRETCH OUT my piercing to the standard (which today I learned feels like being pierced all over again) OR eternally look for smaller gauged jewelry which is less likely to be carried by various stores.
#2 ~ THE PIERCINGS ARENT SYMMETRICAL. Due to swelling and almost immediate bandage of the piercings, I didnt get a good look at how they were together. Let alone the fact circular barbells were used so symmetry is harder to pinpoint.
#3 ~ One piercing was deeper than the other. That wonderfully means that if I want barbells, I have to buy 2 separate sizes. A smaller size for the actual good properly placed piercing, and a longer size for the piercing that went deeper through my skin. Yippee.
#4 ~ One piercing is lower than the other. If youve gathered what type of piercing this is by now, you know that its centered around a certain point on the body. Pretty straight forward, right? Well the same piercing that was deeper, was ALSO placed LOWER than it should have been. So much lower, that the straight barbell I had put in created a very visible and tangible line under previously said body reference point. WTH?! That was something i had noticed the day after the initial piercing took place, as the line of marker sat clearly above my new piercing.
#5 ~ Something I hadnt known before going in but is very important in choosing where you get pierced; internally threaded jewelry. They didnt use it.
Why you should want internally threaded things goin in your bod? It creates less irritation when passing through your skin as there is a seamless smooth piece going through. You really want that on some freshly opened skin. Otherwise, you get those tiny little screw parts heading through you, and that doesnt feel good. (Personally learned how much it doesnt feel good when it was removed.)
Sooo all in all, I’m pretty friken upset as I will now have to remove a piercing to let it heal and have it redone properly.
Going here unfortunately will now have caused me much more pain and to spend much more money than I had hoped, to fix this piercing. Based on the reviews, it seems like I may have just been the unlucky one in this process. Maybe…

Deb is amazing. She is the best piercer I have ever had. She’s nice, sweet, informative and a little spit fire. She is a retired nurse so she knows her shit. I would recommend defiantly going to this shop for any tattoo or piercing needs. They will always make sure you leave more then happy with your new tatt or piercing

The girl that pierced my nose was AWESOME! I am excited to have this place not only do my next piercings, but also my next tattoo! Prices are decent and the staff is awesome!
