Rather sooner than later, I will admit that I’m biased since I’m a member of this club. I’m fairly new – just joined in May. I did visit a club in Long Beach back then but never joined. However, when I first visited this club, I noticed how friendly and approachable the members were and instantly, I knew that I wanted to be part of this family. I feel fit-in and at the same time, the members help me grow as a person. They have always been there for me, like giving me suggestions(in and outside the club) and very supportive. I didn’t feel pushy at all and whenever I’m ready, I give a speech. This is a laid-back atmosphere, yet there is room for learning and pushing yourself out-of-the-box. The group is diverse, which includes engineers, financial analysts, logisticians, contracts managers, retirees, contractors, active military, and civilians. Some are ESL speakers. However, here at Wordmaster Toastmasters, everyone is created equal, and we respect each other despite differences. You will always be welcomed to come and learn more about the club and how to improve yourself!
