After watching my Calico, Chloe, suffer with eosinophilic granuloma (cat acne) for several years, a friend suggested I try feeding her a raw diet. Within 4 weeks, I saw a miraculous difference in her; she was healthy, vibrant and had no more need for medicines or «special diets» from the vet. Her weekly cortisone baths became a thing of the past.

So, when I left corporate banking to start my own business, I decided to share my «Chloe experience» and what I had learned about pet nutrition with our neighbors in Rancho Bernardo and now in 4S Ranch!

Our friendly team members are knowledgeable and will do everything we can to insure you are providing the best products to your pet for their health & well-​being.

I have been coming here for several months now to buy food for my cats. It’s a great place to get specialty and raw food although their selection for cats isn’t all that big. The people who work here are always friendly, helpful, and kind especially if it’s not a busy time. I’ve had some great pet-​related conversations with employees here, they’re awesome!
They give discounts for cash over credit, and they almost always have free samples on hand. I have a very old kitty (17!) with kidney disease who is a very picky eater and these guys have been a lifesaver. From recommending foods to letting me take home food samples to letting me return or exchange (with receipt and original packaging!) foods that made him ill.
If I’m correct they have a second location, I believe it’s in RB, and it’s a locally owned and operated store. Support local businesses! :-)

We have come here several times in the past year for cat foot, and dog treats. The lady working is always very friendly, and helpful. Today she helped me to find a new dog food for my Cocker Spaniel that chews her feet, and she provided me with some samples to try.
Today we tried out the dog wash for the first time, and I was very pleased. They provide soap, towels, and blow dryer. The water is warm, and the tubs are sanitized between washes, and so are the towels. Totally worth the $ 15.
The only thing I would like to see is the conditioner included in the wash price, and not included in the additional $ 5 price boost for pampering products. Aside from that, no complaints; I can bring my own pooch conditioner from home. I will definitely come again, and recommend this place to my neighbors.

I like the location, since we live in 4S. I was new to the self serve dog wash world and asked the girl for a tour of how things work. That was where the customer service hit a bump. My dog is a bit nervous and had a few issues;that are normal for dogs. Instead of being made to feel like «what can I do to help you»
I was made to feel like «get outta here, as quickly as you possibly can! You less than desirable customer!»
Considering this area is made up almost entirely of families with small children many with pets. A Customer service focus with a kindness and sympathy to families, leads to new and potential repeat customers. Not an elitist and small clientele.

I come here every now and then for the self dog wash and treats. I’d say its 2.5 stars, but will round up. It’s an ok, convenient option you live in 4s. Treats are what you’d expect from a boutique dog store. Decent variety and quality. You’ll pay a bit of an uptick, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The self dog wash is $ 16 and change, which is average price compared to other places in San Diego. But while I feel other close by self wash places (eg Dirty Dogs) have great customer service and the experience down to a science, this place is still figuring it out. The water spray pressure is a bit too high, you need to adjust the temperature of the water, their aren’t things like ear cleaning available, and the dryer was broken. These little things make a difference. And the people there don’t seem to care or go the extra mile.
They also make you pay before you wash your dog there, which is odd– both from a customer and a business perspective. Customers are used to paying after services are complete. Do they not trust customers? And the business is selling itself short! I’m not going to purchase treats before I wash my dog… And after I’m done washing my dog, I don’t want to shell out my credit card again to buy a couple small things. As a recommendation, they should start charging afterwards… And I bet they’ll make a few more bucks per dog wash!

This review is based on my experience I had yesterday, I had stopped by real quick to see if they had doggy toothpaste, and the lady working (Lisa) greeted me right as I walk in and asked if I needed any help and assisted me straight to what I needed!
Fast and easy pick up :) she also recommended a similar product that was displayed on the discount table
and wasn’t pushy for the sale! :) that’s always good on my books!
I understand up selling I worked retail, but it’s the worse feeling when you feel pressured to buy something.

I’ve been here 3 times to wash my puppy. While I think $ 17 is a bit steep for a garden hose, shampoo, shop vac and towel it was convenient. Okay so here we go:
1st visit: it was okay. The employee showed me where and what to do. Nothing special. No other customers the whole 30 mins I was there.
2nd visit: I knew my way around but the employee who checked me in wasn’t very friendly. Almost annoyed that I had come in… I chalked it up to her having a bad day. One other customer the whole time I was there.
3rd visit: today 4:45. Yet another employee that came across annoyed that I was there. Seemed upset she had to move the mound of paperwork she had piled on the counter to help me. In the process of checking me in, took it upon herself to reprimand my 5 year old daughter for dropping on of the dog balls off the wall… When I asked why she couldn’t bounce the ball, her reply was“the tag will fall off and no one will by it”… REALLY YOU CANT PUT A TAG BACK ON AN ITEM? Retail 101. I let that one slide. So we go back to the tub (again no other customers) and my daughter climbs into the second tube to try and grab an apron to put on. Super employee was right there to tell her to get out of the tub before I had a chance to blink. My daughter is the sweetest little thing so her eyes swell up with tears. I tell her not to worry about it.
On the way out I looked at the lady and told her how un-​impressed I was with the place. I understand rules but you can be a little kinder and explain things a little more to a 5 yr old. Especially when you have no business and charging $ 17 for a bath.
Do yourself a favor and use your own garden hose the next time your dog needs a bath. My money says this place is closed for good within 6 months. Too many nice businesses that appreciate me and my child that I’d rather spend my money at.

Boutique pet shop, so obviously everything is marked up compared to PetSmart
She rang up these chew bones by scanning the tag and somehow the 3 of them rang $ 5.99 each and she proceeded to just swipe my debit card, I had to stop her and confirm the price once again and walk up to the stock location when it clearly states $ 3.49. Don’t know how the barcode mixed that one up and wasn’t about to spend double the amount on chews. Good thing I caught that, the cashier didn’t seem that apologetic and seemed like she was out for my money.
All in all, nice place and since it’s close by I’ll stop by frequently to get some must need items, however wouldn’t get everything I need here and make sure the right prices are ringing up.

We used the self service dog wash. Our first time using one. The facility was ideal. Better than average friendly lady at the register. Gave us a good introduction.
When the soap dispenser wasn’t working, I tried all I could and then finally asked for help. She came and tried several adjustments and said it hasn’t worked very well for a while. Then she brought us a bottle of soap to use to solve the problem. Not bad service.
Dog came out clean and happy. Towels were soft and clean. Water was warm. Floor is slippery when wet. Duh!
We will be going again.

This place is so amazing! It’s super clean and organized. I took my dog for a self-​serve bath wash and I was so thrilled by how easy it was, they have all the products you need neatly organized, directions to use the wash, and it’s super clean! We will be coming back for all our dog washes here!

I had been driving all the way to San Marcos Petco, no more.
Great experience, clean, organized and my golden loved it.
I must also state that the staff this day Katrina was major helpful and second to none in customer service — hats off to the owner, you made the right choice.
So if your furry friend needs a bath, look no further folks.
