Walmart Vision Center

I received wonderful service from Tammy Diep. I had some problems with my frames and she helped me find a solution that was completely satisfactory. Tammy is thoroughly knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. I’ve never had better service with a vision center and I’ve been to a number of optometry offices through the years. Michael was my initial technician and he also was very friendly and professional. Thank you!

I had two pair of glasses on order. Did not receive a call so called the store myself. The phone number was incorrect. The person confirmed that one pair was done but was not sure about the other. After a long hold the person was able to confirm both pairs were done. Slow response and incorrect information made this transaction less than perfect.

Sheduled my appointment. 5 minutes later I get a call back asking me to reschedule because the doc has to leave. Get there and the doc rushed through my exam and when I get my glasses back I can’t use them. Had to shedule another exam. Glasses come in I go back in for a third time now and the glasses are fine. Try to get insurance on the glasses but the employee couldn’t figure out how to charge me. I sat there for an hr and no one could figure it out had to come back for a 4^th time and the assistant manager added the insurance. Honestly very nice people but training and processing sucks. My biggest fear now is if I break the glasses will the insurance that I paid for work. When it’s time to renew my glasses I will explore my options for sure. I thinks it’s one of those things… «You get what you pay for:

So far I am less than pleased with this vision center.
The plus I was seen right away the doctor was very kind.
I was told my exam would be $ 89.00 I was charged $ 114.00. When I sat down with a sales person to discuss glasses and contacts it was very frustrating. The person did not know what they were doing the prices kept going up. I felt like I was trying to buy a used car it was very confusing. I ended up paying close to five hundred dollars for the exam, glasses and six months worth of contacts. This does not seem like a bargain to me.
The glasses and lenses came in a timely fashion. However the prescription is not correct. Wish me luck as I return to have it changed.

Great customer service. Got what we came for and the prices wasn’t that expensive unless you’re getting really expensive frames.

Really bad experience! I got my lances scratch. They told me it was like that. Which is not.

Dr. Luskin is awesome, I highly recomend his services. He is there only Wednesday.
The staff is friendly. I didnt buy my glasses there so i can not review the vision center regarding that.

Why would you not give them 5 stars?! You go and you get what you pay for. Customer service is always been good and exactly what you expect of a Walmart.

I love Walmart vision Center. The vision staff is wonderful and Dr. Leak is so nice and professional and really knows his stuff! My last visit I bought nice frames for $ 8 and this time I bought a GREAT pair for $ 39 (they had a half off sale). I also bought contacts. Dr. Leak suggested I try bifolcal contacts (which i didn’t think I would like at all, but I tried them and I love them!!. I can’t say enough about Dr. Leak and the vision staff… oh, and you don’t have to have an appointment, they take walk-in’s! I’ll leave with this, they have resoted my faith in a company providing super customer service! (I don’t know why more place don’t understand the importance of this simple thing. Because of their great service, I will NEVER go anywhere else and will recommend them to everyone!

Very pleased! I just got my new glasses today and they are perfect. I can finally see again. Chris the sales associate was the one who helped set up my glasses and was the one who I picked them up from. Very Great guy and very nice. Very pleased with him! Thank you so much!

Love this place! I’ve been seeing Dr. leake for 3 years now and he is awesome! Always remembers me and always makes sure I leave a happy camper! Not to mention I can usually find a good pair of 8 $ frames which is awesome for people my age paying outta pocket! Always pleased with the great customer service. They have a great crew! Try them out what can ya loose?

Complained to a store manager, I learned that this manager has worst customers service than his employees !

Left Lens Crafters at $ 80 frames and $ 219 lenses ON SALE and came here for $ 8 frames and $ 100 lenses with insurance covering… Total of around $ 60! Worth the drive

I absolutely love this place! The location is very convenient! The Dr’s are wonderful! I am especially pleased with my Dr., Dr. Donald Leake! I have been going her now for several years and he always takes good care of my eyes! Lacy, used to be the receptionist/​assistant and I LOVED her! She was kind and very bubbly! She really cared about what she was doing! You could tell in her personality and actions. Alas, she has moved on! However, the others, are great too! It’s a pleasure to be going to this location! Thanks!

In summary – Worst experience. This is my first Unilocal review; i never felt this strongly to spend couple minutes of my life to write a review.
Optometrist: I made a same day appointment, which was good. A nice personable Optometrist helped me. BUT later i found out that the PRESCRIPTION WAS INCOMPLETE. I took it to different Optical stores (including Lenscrafters) and they confirmed the prescription to be INCOMPLETE.
The optical stores contacted Walmart Vision center so that they can help me get new glasses/​contact, but THE PERSON WHO WORKED THERE SAID THEY CANNOT PULL OUT MY RECORDS WITHOUT AN OPTOMETRIST, which should not be the case. the other optical stores were surprised that they are causing the customer such an inconvenience by their lack of organization and improper management.
Customer service and training of that Staff:
After I came out of the eye exam and tried to work with a Sales associate to get my new contact lenses (my prescription changed, so i had to get both new glasses and contact lenses), she was completely uknowledgable. she had difficulty entering my insurance information, and constantly called out «OMG, what is wrong with this!» which is very unprofessional.
I wore glasses for over 10 years, and the whole administrative process to bill me took 40min (usually 10~15 min has been average for me).Also all of the answers from this sales associate started with «I think…», which showed she didn’t know what she was talking about.
At the end i was so frustrated, so i decided not to get my contacts /​glasses there. I had this weird feeling that the Sales person may not have correctly filed her records, so i made sure i had a copy of my receipt. And sure enough, I LATER FOUND OUT FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY THAT THEY CLAIMED THAT I PURCHASED CONTACTS WITH THEM WHERE IN FACT I HAVE NOT. The insurance company had to contact them separately to clear their improper claim.

Worst experience I have ever had at any vision center anywhere and i’ve been wearing glasses since I was a child. Months of wasted gas and time trying to get a correct prescription. No Refund. Just awful.

Where in the whole world you will get expired contacts from your eye doctor? Here in Walmart vision center.

What a surprise.

I went to the Vision Center with a prescription from my private optometrist who is not affiliated with Walmart or the Vision Center.
I found the help very friendly and knowledgeable, but I would call first to inquire about non peak hours as they seem to be very busy.
My glasses were ready in 12 days. They contain prisms, so you may get yours done quicker.
I had new $ 60 bifocal prism lenses put in my own fames for $ 20 extra.
I had an appointment with my optometrist the next day for a separate issue (dry eye syndrome). So I took my new glasses with me to have the prescription checked. Unfortunately they found the bifocal part of the lens was placed too high and the bifocal area was off its axis by seven degrees in both directions. NOT GOOD.
I will return in the next few days to demand a redo. In fact, the staff member said if I wasn’t satisfied that I could bring them back and they would upgrade to polycarbonate progressive trifocals using my $ 60 as credit toward new lenses — which of course can be quite expensive.
FYI, I doubt too many people will find bifocals satisfactory for computer work. The lines really get in the way.

After several bad experiences at Lens Crafters I decided to ask a friend what Dr. she goes to and she lead me to Dr. Leake. Boy am I glad she did.
Very friendly and looked to save me a buck or two. I was able to get an appointment for the same week and upon ordering contacts they arrived in less than 1 ½ weeks. The staff at the vision center are always rushing about but the nice guy who helped me made me a loyal customer (tall, early 20’s, African American).
I was also able to purchase contacts here for about $ 40 less than I found them online. I suppose thats because Walmart purchased or now owns 1−800-Contacts.
Either way, its a one-​stop shop for toilet paper, groceries and contact lenses. Woohoo!

I’ll be honest, I was really a little surprised but I had a great experience here. I never would have thought to come to Walmart for an eye exam, but I don’t have insurance right now, so I went with what was affordable. Dr. Leake is awesome. Super nice, professional, thorough, to the point. The office staff was polite, efficient, and when I was ringing up and wanted to compare prices for contacts through them vs. 1−800-contacts, they looked it up for me so I didn’t have to. Yay and thanks! :)
