I went to this event this past weekend in San Diego. I was really excited because I’m a huge walking dead fan. My boyfriend and I got VIP tickets which were $ 160 dollars per person, this included some extra things like, you get to go in early, you get to cut general admission in signing and autograph lines, front rows to panels(which were in the blazing sun so who would want to sit up front) a comic and special badge. Me and my boyfriend were able to do everything in the event in 2 hours top, there were only about 12 booths and like 15 tables where the celebrities did the signings(which cost extra) when we first got there we did get to go in early but the rest of the paid for perks never happened. The staff was very unorganized and put us in the general admission line for the 1 signing I got and I didn’t realize it until we were at the front, front row at the panels was an option but I didn’t want to die or a heatstroke or get sunburnt so I sat in the shade like everyone else. I feel that if you offer that as a perk you should have arranged for some sort of shade. We also didn’t get our comic and the badge looked like everyone else’s. I feel like I got a general admission experience when I paid for extras. I could of saved $ 200 by just getting general admission but the way the website made it sound so grand and it wasn’t, I will defiantly not be going again and I will tell other people to not waste their money either.

This was an awesome day for me. I was able to attend the«Walker Stalker Con» event at Petco Park. At this event you were able to purchase cool T-Shirts, Caps, Posters and a few other items with Walking Dead graphics. People were everywhere(Comic Con Weekend) and there were other events/activities in the surrounding areas of Petco Park. For a small fee($ 20-$ 40) you were able to stand in line to meet and take pictures with your favorite expired Walking Dead characters. Emily Kinney(Beth Greene), Michael Rooker(Merle Dixon), Chad Coleman(Tyreese), IronE Singleton(T-Dog), Andrew J. West(Gareth), Scott Wilson(Hershel Greene), Lawrence Gillard Jr.(Bob Stookey), and a few others. In addition to this wonderful line up was a cast member from the 1968 «Night of the Living Dead» Judith O’Dea. She played the role as Barbra Hamilton. Throughout the event were several«walkers» not on a «feeding frenzy» but posing for pictures and creating a «walker stalker» atmosphere. Great day, Great Event!

I’m here now, so I’ll keep it brief and update soon. Here is the Walker Stalker Con experience in a nutshell. Pay to get in,($ 25 — $ 50+). That payment gets you access to spend more money on expensive WD merchant. You can also pay to meet and take pictures with stars from the show who have been killed off, $ 15 — $ 40 per actor, depending on if you want an autograph, selfie, or picture. In short, you are paying to enter and pay more. There is no real«experience.» I take that back. There are panels throughout the day and video games to demo. Outside of that, you are paying for the experience to pay more which basing feels like robbing fans. It’s sad. :/I recommend passing on this and putting your $ towards comic-con tickets, unless you plan to pay the extra cash to meet the celebs and get things signed but bring at least $ 500 to spend on that if you want the full«experience.» Three stars is being generous because I am a fan.
