Walgreens

First of all the area is sketchy. Just parking underground you’re subject to wanna be gangsters blasting their music not to mention that the music inside the store is also way too loud. Went for photos. their CD in the photo machine doesn’t work but you don’t know this because there isn’t a sign on them. When I suggested that they should place a sign on it so customers wouldn’t waste their time trying to get it to work, they looked at me like I was crazy.

It’s closest store where I can buy gifts and my favorite candy. I was buying an earphone and it marked about $ 8 but then the cash register charged me about more that $ 10 for that earphone which irritates me. I got confused about getting in line to go to cash register. I’m really sorry if I said this but those pharmacists seems really rude. When I was about to get an eyedrop after I got my eye examined, those pharmacists (a lady and an Asian man) having a hard time working and gave me their bad attitude like they think that I’m an idiot because I was just a bit confused of how can I get that eyedrop.

I called the pharmacy and the girl (Vivian) honestly was annoyed at the fact that I was asking questions about my prescription. I told her I was using Teledoc, a phone doctor service, and had no id cards and she said rudely «well bring something in when you come in» and eagerly tried getting off the phone.
When my wife called again to ask if I could use my VA insurance, Vivian responded «oh you must have called like a thousand times»

Just your typical Walgreens! But surprisingly it’s well stocked in almost all departments! Especially lipsticks in make-​up I feel like whoever does the stocking at Walgreens needs to do the stocking at Walmart or at least teach them.
The entrance is pretty narrow and once you go into the parking lot you’ll have to go all the way around a street to hit the freeways. I like the cashiers here at night, they’re very kind! The only downside is the area is semi-​ghetto.

My normal prescription pharmacy, parking can be a pain sometimes. I would’ve been nice to have a drive-​up window but knowing this is in a busy intersection and a lower level store, can’t really complain.

NOT OPEN 24 HOURS!!! Drove all the way here because of the hours listed here on Unilocal and it closed at 12:00. Call the store and you can get a recording of their hours so you don’t waste your time if it’s late!

The pharmacy has the shortest hours of every other pharmacy that offers many more services. I’m constantly disappointed by their hours of operation in the pharmacy. I’ve only made it there 2 times when they were open. Go to medical center pharmacy on fairmount, at least they deliver.

Customer service is great, only problem is the wait time when paying.

This review is for the pharmacy only. This is the best pharmacy I have ever been to. Period!
Staff is amazing. Always greeted with a friendly smiling face. They treat you like you matter.
Did the flu shot and felt very comfortable. Shot was given in a private room that appeared nice and clean. I don’t like shots and the pharmacist was very gentle. Didn’t feel a thing.
Dedicated parking garage is a plus.
Bottom line is I have never been to any pharmacy that treated me so kindly. Mad props to who ever put this awesome crew together!

I’ve been seeing more and more Walgreens popping up all over San Diego. This one has been around only a couple years, the building it’s housed in also has Baja pizza (which is awesome) and Fruitlandia. There is a ground level parking structure accessible from Fairmount St. and 43^rd (one-​way). The upper levels of the building are condos and I think there’s even an old folks home on the other side and City Heights Square Mini Park. Anyways this Walgreens is smaller than most of the freestanding one’s, but they have everything you’d expect from Walgreens. Expensive medicine and slightly cheaper Walgreens brands of the same (which is just as good). One thing I kinda had to get used to it the card payment system. It’s like I’m taking a multiple choice test every time I have to swipe my card. And there’s no actual «line» for the registers. It’s kinda like waiting for the ATM, there’s one generally formed line and you go to the next available register. And sometimes that can be a long wait, especially when there are 2 open and 4 other employees standing around talking (maybe they’re about to clock out?).
I’ve never had any complaints about actual customer service though. Most of the employees are younger people but they always smile and always «check in the back» when they’re out of something on the shelves. They also have a nice snacks and goodies section which is good if you just want a bag of chips, or ice cream late at night. All in all, good location, plenty of free garage parking, and excellent customer service.

Manager need to be fired because there’s no customer service at all! very rude worker!

The sign at the entrance says «Walgreens 24 Hour Pharmacy» but the pharmacy closes at 9pm. False advertising of the most obvious kind.

The best Walgreens. It may not be the biggest, but the staff is all super friendly and helpful and the girls in the pharmacy rock.

I’m giving only 4 stars ONLY because I have no knowledge of the Pharmacy or the service it provides. All Managers and Employees at this location have gone out of their way to take care of me and any order I might need to place. Their help has been very appreciated.
Background: I stopped going to another location because the service was becoming anything but what I had hoped it would be after a year of shopping there. This location I went to because I was hoping 1. to find a closer store and 2. to find a store with generally all courteous employees who would not be offended by someone who uses coupons nor be rude about it. I will truly miss two people at my old store because they were fabulous, but I am also glad I found this store because these people here are fun, respectful, courteous not just to customers but to each other, ad nowadays thats rare to see. Was very pleased to see them all work together so well. Anytime I have extra coupons I just leave them with the register clerks. If I don’t need them, pass them along, right? They enjoy every time I do it because I can pass the savings along to others. Not like the store is losing their money because they get it all back including the 8 cents on top. They love that!

Size of the store was surprisingly smaller than I thought it would be but for some reason they have a much larger selection of items. Very organized and always clean. Smells good too-​always fresh and clean smelling.
Overall if I had experience with the Pharmacy Im pretty sure I could give a 5^th star, but until then it will remain a 4 only for that reason. I found my new location I think. Yay!
