This is a fantastic way to start your Thursday morning. Fun people sharing stories and experiences in a way that will leave you both laughing and thinking. Definitely worth getting up early for a 7 a.m. meeting. This also looks good on any resume or job application.

A super experience for improving public speaking and leadership skills and gaining self confidence. I’ve been a long time member of the club and I’ve seen good speakers become great and average speakers become professionals. I’ve also seen some folks who would not get up and introduce themselves at their first meeting become confident and powerful speakers.

Yes, the club meets early — Thursdays at 7:00am. But, Voyagers is worth it! The club is one of the most established and professional Toastmasters clubs in San Diego. Home to both seasoned and new public speakers, it’s a great place to practice leadership and speaking skills.
When I looked to join a club eight months ago, Voyagers impressed me with the warmth and energy of the members, the longevity in membership, and the way in which speakers are provided excellent mentorship and feedback on their skills. Visit us and see what all the buzz is about!

As of this writing, I am a member for 8 months. I am learning to be a better public speaker, think quicker on my feet and to present myself better in every avenue of my life.

Most Thursday mornings at 7am I find myself at Voyagers. What makes it worth getting up so early and spending 1.5 hours of my time?
First and foremost the people. It’s a great group of folks with a wide range of backgrounds and ages.
Next is the energy and the humor. I always leave feeling energized and glad that I attended.
And of course there’s the learning opportunity. If you’ve every wanted to be better at interviews, or presenting in front of people, or just want more confidence, then Voyagers is the group for you.
Oh yeah, I might be a bit biased. I’ve been going to Voyagers on and off since the 90’s! And I’ve also held various officer roles there (Leadership!)

I’ve been participating in Voyagers Toastmasters for two years and it has truely helped my public speaking. My improvements have been noticed at work and I have much more confidence. Thanks Toastmasters!

At the Voyagers Club, we strive to turn imagination into reality. We are an active Toastmasters International club with a long tradition of excellence, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Over the 27 year of our clubs existence, our members have grown into poised speakers and superior leaders because of their participation in Toastmasters. We are proud to be known in the San Diego community as a club that inspires one another to become the best we can be.
Every club has its own personality. Our membership is diverse, including a mix of entrepreneurs, consultants, students, retirees, teachers, and stay at home parents. Even though we take our self-​development serious, we are lighthearted, cheerful, and sometimes silly.
Our club is fortunate to have over 50 active members with 30 to 35 members participating in each meeting. The benefit of having a large membership is the ability to see many different styles and techniques. Another component that makes our club a success is our members with 15+ years of experience. Collectively, these members have over 100 years of public speaking experience. They represent 20 percent of our membership and they are a huge source of inspiration, guidance and mentoring.

Our meetings are centered on the philosophy that helping others succeed is the best way to learn and to retain our own skills.
Our members consist of accomplished highly experienced Toastmasters and speakers plus new Toastmasters and «shy» speakers, along with long-​term members who continue to look for improvement.
No matter the experience, no matter the education, no matter the occupation, each Voyager is a resource to all the others.
