Been coming to this location for decades and have seen it change over the years. Decent prices on food and liquor. It’s always clean and the staff are very friendly. I want to mention that Jewel at the floral department was very accommodating. She provided excellent customer service in helping me pick out the freshest floral arrangement for my mom on Mother’s Day. Not only did she offer to re-wrap the dozen roses, she also cut them and rang me up! Thanks Jewel for coming through and providing top notch service. I haven’t received this type of service at Ralph’s, Stater Brothers or Albertson’s. Though I no liger live in the PQ Area, it’s well worth the drive.

I did not find the people working in the deli department to be anything less than rude! Rude!, Rude!, I have never been treated so rudely by anyone, in a grocery store in my 67 years on the planet. My wife and I went to the deli to order several sandwichs, There was one gentle man in front of us who had ordered a sandwich and was waiting for it to be prepared. MY wife and I waited patiently for the gentleman to get his sandwich. After about 20 minutes we finally moved up to the counter. The lady fixing the gentleman’s sandwich went to the register about 15 feet away from where we were standing, she put a price tag on his sandwich. and then, another customer walked up to the deli counter and the server turned to her to ask her what she wanted. She knew we had been waiting a long time and then decided not to wait on us deliberately. This is incredibly rude, and She knew it. I dont know who manages this place but the server should be fired. My wife and I left and ordered sandwichs at jersey Mikes, at the other end of the Mall. We got our sandwichs in 1⁄10 the time we spent waiting at Vons. W e had some other groceries to buy but we will never go back, There is no reason to treat customers so rudely, there are plenty of other places to shop for groceries, this person was just being deliberately mean and nasty .I dont need to be insulted just to spend my money. The store is not even worth one star.

If Cathy and/or Amy aren’t working the pharmacy come back another day. The others act like every day is their first day and it’s been months.

Be careful buying ice cream or frozen items at this Vons store. We saw boxes of ice cream were melting sitting in the aisle at night. Also their freezers don’t always work as they should to protect the freshness of the ice cream. Also the prices, especially for vegetables are very high.

Bad customer service from supervisor Raylene. Raylene was very rude and agitated. I asked for the store manager and was told that no hire level management is available. After insisting on resolution I was taken to another supervisor who resolved the problem but Raylene was very unhappy returning $ 2.05 to me. Raylene, this conflict was not about getting back $ 2.05 but about not providing good customer service to a customer of 23 years. Shame on you! You are giving bad reputation to the Von’s team and management.

Picked up some«fresh snapper fillet» for $ 7.99/lb today. Didn’t even ask the Deli guy if it was fresh because I have never had bad overall experience with this Vons. It is my local grocery store, I go there all the time for years. The fish didn’t smelled good when I opened it at home to cook, it smelled rotten. So I thought maybe something was wrong with my sense of smell. Started baking and the stink got stronger and stronger — the«fresh» snapper was obviously rotten. What a waste of time and money! Never going to buy fish at this Vons again.

Medicine aisle is missing a lot of items which are very important to a business. Sick people are not cool(aka me) Woman at check out was nice but it literally took her 10 minutes per person which made everyone angry because it was during the lunch time rush

I like this store and prices. Sometimes they have deals no any other stores can bid it.,

Conveniently located in my neighborhood — this is my place to drop by when I need something. I usually go in and just find what I need. Prices are okay — nothing really too special. Flower section is always pretty nice to look at. Everything is pretty much organized. Wait can vary depending on how many people are on line when going out. Your standard place — reminds me of Waldbaums in NY.

I shop at this store because it’s the only one near by but I have to say the customer service here is horrendous!!! Exactly what the word means itself; extremely unpleasant, horrifying, or terrible! Enough said! From the manager who cashiers to the deli clerks, everyone here is extremely rude! The only nice person here is the lonely African American girl who bags your groceries. I’ve worked customer service for decades and never in my career, on my worst day, would I ever treat a customer the way Vons in PQ does! Otherwise, food is always stocked but beware of the employees!!!

If you live on the east side of Mira Mesa near the 15 and it is late at night in my opinion this is the best location to go shopping for late. Night errands. On the east side of the Miramesa the CVS is closed in this location is open until 1AM. This is probably one of the last Vons available in the area. It’s a bit of a smaller venue but still contains everything that you need. In my case it was last minute toiletries for my morning routine. I had originally came to go to the CVS but it was closed but it is good to know that this location is open until 1AM.

Customer service is really hit or miss here. I have shopped here often for the last 4−5years because I live nearby. Sometimes A+ service, but sometimes it’s a D-. It seems like courtesy clerks /baggers get about 10 minutes of training now. I’ve gotten home with one item in each bag, with my bananas under cans of soup, and today with raw meat in my bag of produce … ew! I’ve been in a few times when the staff in check stands was so engrossed in their own conversation that they didn’t even speak to me until they wanted my money. I don’t think they’ve offered to help me out to my car the last 1 times I’ve been in … Customer service is a thing of the past. On the flip side, the Starbucks staff is always very nice and the bakery manager goes above and beyond.

Overall 2.5 stars. Located off Black Mt. Road/56 in the Rite Aid shopping center across the Post Office… Parking is hellish and cramped. I only come here to get gift cards to get bonus points on my credit card for«supermarket» category. It’s tough to find a worker to ask questions so here ya go: GC are located by the flowers aisle 10. They also have a smaller gift card stand in the front of the store. It stinks like fried chicken & arm pits in the store, like there’s no circulation. But like I said, I only come here a couple times/year to buy gift cards for holidays. They’re so overpriced for food, there’s really no reason to shop here except for an emergency. I get all of our food at Costco/Trader Joe’s.

Love that parking isn’t bad at this location compared to the one in PB or Mira Mesa. But the cashier’s inside aren’t all open so inside line gets crowded. One of my fave Vons location because they always have great deals here than other locations that I have been too. They don’t offer all of the same deals on same items***!!

Vons is great, but a little pricier than others. It’s close to home and very clean though so that’s a plus. Friendly employees and lots a of check stands to pay at. Great place for flower arrangements and low prices. SB located inside is another poise

My home –town Vons when I was growing up and living in PQ when I first saw this store open up in 1987 I want to say… its been through a number of changes to be more like the others — I actually find items in here a bit easier though than some of the other Vons locations — not sure if its due to layout or maybe Ive just had a smaller list of shopping items the last few times Ive been in. Typically a very clean location as well which is always a plus — customer service and cashiers as usually pretty friendly — just beware of the parking lot as people seem to get a bit confused at the opposite direction isles for parking

Made a quick stop at this Von’s for some water and oatmeal when I was in the area. I picked up couple gallons of Arrowhead given they were only a dollar per bottle. Also, I got lucky because they had my new favorite oatmeal on sale, Oat Revolution, for $ 2.79 per box with ten pouches per box.( ) The store was pretty clean and organized during my visit, and the lady at the register was friendly enough. She was a little slow trying to figure something out with the customer in front of me, but with me stuff it was pretty lickety-split. A Nice Von’s, but then again, it’s just a super market.

Not sure what witty and clever stuff I can say about a super market. I was here the other day and noticed a few things: — there’s a Starbucks inside the market even though there’s a Starbucks coffee shop 2(TWO!!) doors down(no joke) — they have great flowers at this location — bakery is nice and they mark down their donuts late in the evening — no self check out — they have a nice fried chicken deal(in deli section) and I was told they recently changed their fried chicken recipe. I didn’t like the fried chicken and thought KFC shouldn’t be worried. — plenty of parking — love love love their own brand of sparkling water I don’t think I find the best prices on groceries or meats here. Ralph’s seems to be the leader in that department lately. But this Vons is alright. Lines can be long to check out but oh well. What can you do except mentally curse out someone that works there.

I’ve been going to this Vons since I was 8 years old… which makes it about 1,000 years old. This location has gone through many renovations over the years, including the addition and renovation of an almost complete Wells Fargo branch. Honestly, this Wells Fargo is a lot larger(and nicer) than most in-store branches I’ve seen. Now that I live in LA, I’ve seen polar opposites when it comes to grocery quality. Of course there will always be the Bristol Farm, Sprouts, and Whole Foods, but within a few miles you will find a Superior or a Food 4 Less. This Vons definitely rivals the high end markets of Los Angeles in terms of quality, selection, and appearance. Employees here live in the community, so they take real ownership and pride in what they do as an employee here. I remember when I was younger this place was just ok… but I am honestly happy and proud that our local grocery is a really nice Vons.
