Very unhappy! At first I was thrilled to take my wedding dress here for a cleaning and to be placed in a preservation box. I dropped my dress off at the end of September and was told it would be ready Nov 12. On Nov 12 I went to pick it up and was told my dress was not ready and I would get an update first thing in my morning. The next day no update, so I called and the lady said she would call the company that does the cleaning. I get a call an hour later my dress was not received from this second cleaning place until Nov 12. Now I get to wait another 8 weeks for my dress to be ready. If I knew this was going to happen I would have never come here.

I live in San Diego and started using VIP Cleaners & Laundry three weeks ago. I waited until my third service to write this review, wanted to make sure the service was as great as I thought. I have very expensive clothing and I am very picky about who cleans them. Everything is always perfectly done! My dry cleaning is always ready on time and delivered directly to my office. This is high-​end cleaning but with affordable prices! I’m a fan.

I initially really liked the convenience of the service. The pick up and delivery. Unfortunately, they were not consistent. I would have to regularly call and ask why service was not picked up at the agreed upon Monday. They promised to call back and I would never hear back. Several calls later they would come out. The dry cleaning is NO better than anyone else. The people that answer the phone have ZERO answers and were not helpful. Today, after no pick up, I have finally cancelled any relationship with this company. They don’t get it. I spend approximately $ 75/​week on dry cleaning. I guess that isn’t important or valued. STAY AWAY. Service is terrible and getting answers, updates, or any consistency is not possible. Too many options out there to put up with this level of mediocrity. I will happily move on to a company that values my business and when things go wrong, they at least haddle with professionalism.

I was invited last minute to attend a wedding with a friend and the only formal dress I owned still had some stains on it that the last cleaners I tried couldn’t fully remove. I definitely didn’t have time or money to shop for a new dress, so I decided to take it to the local cleaners and see if they could get my dress clean. Thank god I did! VIP Cleaners and Laundry on Morena Blvd was able to completely remove the stains! I was kind of stressed when I brought it in because I knew I would have to have it back by that Friday, and Stephanie kept me full informed as to the status of the dress during the whole process, which was very comforting. I couldn’t believe how clean they got the dress that had sat in my closet the past year, stains and all. It looked great! I’ve never had such friendly customer service with any other cleaners and I will never go any where else except VIP!

Unfortunately, pick up and delivery is hit and miss. I can leave my dry cleaning out for weeks and need to call even though I receive a reminder voicemails my items are not picked up. I was promised delivery yesterday and had to call 3x to get it today for a formal function this evening. I was actually considering buying something for the event given the fact I was not receiving a call back. Good thing I didn’t because my item showed up– with a bill!!! It was a lot of energy and anxiety and $$$$. Sorry folks

I brought a dress that had two stains of the same origin. The girl at the desk marked both of the spots. When I came to pick up the dress, I saw that the bigger spot was removed and the smaller one was missed. When I pointed this out, I was given an attitude; told that the stain is not removable and was still charged full amount. Overpriced dry cleaning service with very rude personnel.

Good Quality Dry Cleaning with Convenient Delivery Service.
Their prices are reasonable & service is dependable. I just set my dry cleaning out in the morning & it’s returned either next day or in a few days if I don’t request same day service. They’ve cleaned everything from cashmere to leather & have always done a good job. Love that I don’t have to drop off or pick up because I just don’t need another errand!

Updating my review. They hired a new driver for my area (Old Town and Clairemont) and I’m as happy as I can be. He replies to texts, always gets picks up on time and the cloths have come back perfectly every time. I’m very very happy with this service and highly recommend it!

VIP cleaners is amazing! Pick-​up and delivery is a wonderful service and it is consistent. Employees are very personal, kind and helpful. I have clothes and other items with a variety of fabrics and the care they give is greatly appreciated. I have received calls asking about the fabric content and how they will take care of the items. This is a wonderful service for our community. I can always count on my cleaning coming back in beautiful condition and on my designated day. Thank you so much!

I have had a lot of dry cleaners in the past, not only for myself but for my clients. I can only tell you that I would give them 10 stars if I could. Let me tell you why they are amazing! I have my own goto guy… Alejandro. I can call him on his cell, tell him if I need a rush, or an extra pick up or just about anything else. Not only is he on the ball, the girls at the front desk are sooooo on it. They call me if I have an item, say silk… or a tear in a sweater… they won’t do anything with it until I call back. They have been the best dry cleaning service I have ever had!!!

We’ve used VIP in our San Diego office for over a year and have had them pick up and drop off dry cleaning for everyone at our firm. Their drivers are courteous, pricing is fair and clothes are always fresh. They’ve notified us when folks try to dry clean items that are supposed to be hand washed and have helped us out with a few rush situations when we were in a pinch. A good dry cleaning service for sure, I definitely recommend.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’ve been using VIP for well over a year now. The staff is so friendly and bend over backwards to help me out when I’m in a rush. My clothing is always perfect when I pick it up. I would recommend VIP despite the other Unilocal reviews.

I am shocked that anyone could give VIP anything but five stars! Alejandro is the best, and the service is wonderful. Free pick up and delivery? Come on! How does it get better than that? Oh yeah, they do a FAB job on all my cleaning (and I have a ton every week), and the cost is incredibly reasonable.
AND they are the sweetest! I was once missing a button on a favorite silk cami, and they called and asked if I would like them to replace it with something that matched the color and style of the cami. Seriously? How thoughtful! They then hunted one down when they didn’t have an exact one that they thought was perfect. I’m pretty sure they care about my clothes as much as I do! Thank you VIP!

This place lost my allegiance about 5 months ago when…
It was the 4^th item I’d dropped off, they couldn’t get the «stain» out, charged me anyways & told me they were un-​removable stains!
Each item I dropped off, I pointed out the spot and they assured me they could get it out. When I picked up the items they handed them over, I paid and when I got home realized the spot was still there! I took the item back and was frustrated they didn’t say anything BUT charged me anyways. They offered to try again, for free, how kind, and still couldn’t get it out. As my original review stated” even though they weren’t unable to get the spot out, I appreciate the extra care”. I thought I had to live with the stains until my favorite, and quite expensive white coat got coffee on it & VIP Cleaners told me they couldn’t get it out. On a recommendation, I ventured to Liberty Station Cleaners (by my office) begging them to help.
NOT only did they get the stain out, they got all the «stains» out from all the other garments VIP told me they couldn’t. Liberty Station Cleaners also informed me that whatever chemicals VIP used, they were so harsh they ruined a couple of my silk blouses and on my white coat make the stain worse!
VIP Cleaners has lost my business forever and I hope this review stops anyone else from having to experience the hassle and lies I had to experience.

Ok, so it was my fault for not asking for prices before taking my clothes in, but $ 5 to dry clean a shirt seems pretty steep. I had six shirts dry cleaned and the total was $ 30. I usually go to Clairemont Village Cleaners and only pay around $ 2.50 per shirt and they are a green products.
This isn’t San Francisco or NYC. This isn’t even downtown/​east village San Diego. I understand this business islocated down the hill from USD but it just doesn’t make sense to charge $ 5 to dry clean a shirt. Clairemont Village Cleaners is owner operated. The whole family helps out. I would rather give them my money than this place.
