History

Established in 2008.

I’ve been doing this full-​time for 8 years now. However, my students still teach me new things all the time. And although I am covering the same concepts with everyone, the work remains fresh and enjoyable because I have to adapt to each student’s personality and learning style.

Learning about the test and practicing it is important, but it’s also true that students need strong fundamental skills (reading, vocabulary, math, and writing). Since I don’t think there is a dependable correlation between these fundamentals and GPA, my tutoring is personalized and flexible to make sure students get exactly what they need at every session. I strongly believe private tutoring can, and should, be much more effective and efficient than any one-​size-​fits-​all class, course, or book.

Hi! I’m Vince. I grew up in Connecticut and completed the honors program at Boston College, graduating with a B.A. in English Literature. After living in Boston for many years, it eventually dawned on me that life would be much better without wet, cold, five-​month-​long winters. I moved to San Diego in 2007 and I live in the Kensington neighborhood.
